Family run holiday apartments, lovely owners, location is just perfect-15min to Tropea and 5min to Capo Vaticano. Our apartment had a basic equipment but was clean and comfortable. Pool is gorgeous, very relaxing and well looked after. Concettina and her husband make sure you have everything you need. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful. During the day and evening you can buy ice cream and sandwiches, burgers and salads in their caffe, which is great after a long trip out or if you just want to spend a day around the pool without having to go shopping. Kids play area, beach games etc. There is a beach buggy transport down to the beach with free chairs & umbrellas which was so convenient. But we walked as well and it takes less than 10min. Beach is beautiful with white sand, clean with a bar where you can have light bites and drinks.

I was only missing a hair drier.

Simply said this was probably the best vacation I have ever been on. The price is unbeatable, the included breakfast was delicious and unlimited. There is also a restaurant at the accomodation with incredible prices and good portion sizes. Everything was meticulously clean, from the room, to the outside dining area to the pool. There is an included transportation service to the beach which is about 20 minutes by foot, they take you there and pick you up afterwards at designated times FOR FREE and the beach area is pretty private with sun chairs for guests. There is also pool service with amazing prices - I ordered two Aperol and the staff prepared it with lots of local snacks for free as well. The staff itself was extremely friendly and they spoke english well, although I recommend to study some Italian to get the best conversations! They were all extremely friendly and hesistant to take tips which I didn't understand because I felt like I was literally paying too little for the amazing experience we had. All in all this is the first vacation spot I'll surely return to hopefully very soon to experience it all over again. Grazie mille, I really needed that vacation! 10/10!

There were families with multiple children, not my favorite thing ever since it was loud from time to time but defintely also not a problem whatsoever. More of a personal preferance.

Lovey location with a great view. A very well run family vacation resort. With a beautiful pool. Staff are very friendly staff and helpful. Drinks around the pool were very nicely served and breakfast was served too! You will need a car to make the most of your stay, however the local beach is lovely with reclining chair and umbrellas provided for free.

No real negatives, maybe a microwave and a kettle in the property as we only have a hob to cook on. We ate out most of the time.

We arrived very early in the morning, and the host received us very kindly, offered us coffee a bathroom and let us to use the pool. They gave us the room before the check in time. The staff was so nice, always smiling and very atentive to our needs, you can tell that they enjoy what they are doing. it seems is local people, they know everybody there. I loved the huge orchad that was behind the hotel, Antonio one of the host offered us vegetables from there. They take you to the beach and you have shade and deck chairs. Breakfast was complete and lot of variety.

Great place to stay! The swimming pool is beautiful with its organic shape and sea bed like bottom. The pool is surrounded by green with good deckchairs and umbrellas. The location also has an impressive vegetable and fruit garden. Nice to stroll around and we even received some fruit after we wondered why it seemed so much harvest remained untouched (idea to let people pick themselves and charge some money for it?). The private beach is a real pleasure. The beach feels exclusive and tranquil due to its bay like shape and with the stones in the sea. Also perfect for small children. The shuttle back and forward to the sea and the included deckchairs with umbrella really allows for relaxation. No need to think or arrange anything. Plus, as we found out later, at other beaches the parking and deckchairs cost at least 15 euro per day, so it is also good value. The accommodation also has a nice playing ground with swings, a glide and a spot to play with sand. On top of that one can also can get good coffee, drinks and ice cream at the location. Even food although we did not consume any. All in all a very pleasant place to stay, also given it is central to everything at Costa degli dei.

Matrasses and pillows were not very comfortable

THANK YOU!!! - Gelato, cocktails and snack food on site! - shared laundry washing machine on site - protected car parking under olive trees in the shade - little kids can savely and freely move on site and in the beautiful taken care of garden - 2 minute shuttle to a beautiful small private beach ( and back), free for guests of pietragrande ( especially great for smaller kids because there is a stone protected “baby area” of ocean water / our girls tried to catch the small fish … - the pool is the most beautiful little pool we’ve ever seen ( stones instead of plastic, very high quality, well maintained with some whirlpool function) - wonderful sunsets and view straight on Stromboli! - beds with high quality pillows and mattresses, very comfortable - air condition in all bedrooms - easily reach tropea, pizzo… in daytrips - again: the owners are lovely, live on site and take care of everything very well IT’S A JEWEL
