Rooms were not clean Staff attitude felt like pissed off Most things on the menu was not available. Compared to pre-covid experience it was worst.

We had a two king-bed room and so we had a really big sleeping-area while we moved the beds together. The food at the restaurant is nice and the location is not bad to start different walks to other places or through the jungle. Several nice beaches around or to go to by water taxi (turtle beach f.e.). Try the neighbour restaurant and market "Belinda" also. You'll get beers there and if you sit down or collect, you'll get a really tasty and original food.

Our room had been "cleaned" before our arrival without any kind of hygienic standards. The bathroom was full of hairs and stains, the mirror shows several colors of stains and we found hairs, dust and other bad things all around the room. So one negative point to mention is defineteley the cleanliness because the whole hotel and beach area is also not really cared off. The other point to mention FOR US is that you will meet a lot of screaming, crying, running and football-at-night-playing children all around the hotel area. There is not one minute without kids-noise at the whole hotel area, sometimes until late at night. Everybodies own decision to have kids, but we will no accept them to steal our holy relaxing time because we have to pay at least the same rate than families with children. If you don't want to see and listen to kids-terror, you should choose another place to stay. All in all it's a very noisy resort area at the Barat. If you want to relax, enjoy, sleep well and feel the island vibe, please choose another place to stay and just come over here for dinner or lunch, because the food is really nice. Walking distance to the famous "Perhentian Island Resort" is about 7 minutes. You'll have to cross the "Coral Vieuw Resort" to get there..(the beaches in front of those two resorts are really nice)

The room with the view greeted u every morning, aircon was great, and the room is really spacious. Bed was okay, and the pillows are comfy, we slept sound. The grill at the restaurant is the best grill ever!!!! Though we waited 60 min and 100 min for the 2 nights we dine in, WORTH IT! Other cooked food is generally above expectation too, and priced at an okay range.

Curtain somewhat worn down with the velcro and kept falling, hair dryer's cable was showing the copper wires, the artificial grass at the balcony needs a revamp. The bathroom could have a table top for toiletry.

The best restaurant in the area, good quality and good prices. The rooms are comfortable, basic for the price you pay.

The beach in front of the hotel is not usable, but just 5 minutes walk to PYR beach, one of the best in island. There was a water engine near the room making noise the all day, I stayed for two nights but I would think about it for longer stays.

The seaview deluxe room was perfect for us! The balcony overlooking the sea and Perhentian Kecil was spacious and private - this is a plus point for Muslim ladies to enjoy the sun without having to put on our scarves. Air conditioning working very well, when it's too hot outside we could still enjoy the seaview from inside the room. 24 hours electricity, airconditioning, ceiling fan, kettle, tv (only for media player), small fridge, Kiblah direction, open wardrobe with loads of hangers, good water pressure, dressing table and hairdryer, plenty of power sockets too. Staffs were very attentive and accomodating, also friendly :) We really enjoyed our stay here and hope to come back again some time :) P/S: The balcony at night is also a nice spot for stargazing. My husband woke me up in the middle of the night with excitement to show me the milky way which was visible during our stay :)

Nothing really, but during our stay we really wanted to try the BBQ dinner, which was only offered to guests with full board package. We booked only the room as it was very last minute, hope this will be available again soon at the restaurant :)

Small but clean room. Bed was comfortable. Rooms have a nice sitting area outside. Variety of F&B options nearby.

The sets from the menu were only available for guests who had reservations with meal plans. There is no beach directly in front of the hotel.
