I liked the fact that they were on top of everything. They made an extra effort as we were completely wet and they prepared a place to dry stuff.

The location is very convenient, right off the highway. Property easy to find with plenty of parking space in front. The surroundings and surrounding views are beautiful. Check-in was fast and easy. Staff was extremely nice/friendly and spoke some English which helped. Breakfast was very good. There is a restaurant on site. The room was large, clean and looked new. Beds were comfortable. The bathroom was a good size. Plenty of outlets. Wifi worked great. The back facing 'walk-out patio' was very nice. With the windows closed and the room facing the back, I could barely hear the traffic from the front. I think I was the only guest on the floor, so everything was nice and quiet. I can't speak to the noise level and quality of soundproofing when there are other guests around or when windows are open and highway is busy with cars. I enjoyed my stay very much. Great value for the price.

As mentioned above, I cannot speak to the noise level of traffic. But all rooms appear to face the back so at least there is that buffer. Not a big deal, but a fridge would be handy to have in the room. Since the nights are cool, I kept some stuff on the patio table overnight.

Really friendly staff and quiet & comfortable room that looks freshly and tastefully renovated

The rooms are modern and very nice. Everything was clean and comfortable. There is a good selection of foods for breakfast.

1. With the windows open the road is quite noisy in the morning. 2. Theoretically they accept card payment, but their terminal did not work, we could not pay with any of our 3 cards, so we had to pay in cash, which left us with very little cash for the rest of the journey.

My stay in Poljana at the Gostišče Krivograd turned out to be the warmest welcome I could have had to Slovenia, a country I had never been to before.  I arrived earlier than I should but fortunately my room was ready so they kindly let me check in ahead of time.  Just after I had arrived, I unexpectedly found I needed medical advice so I was very relieved that Zarja one of the lovely hostesses, could speak fluent English and was able to assist me by calling the medical centre ahead of me going there - it made it so much easier for me, everyone one there was also lovely and helpful which really put me at ease. Back to the hotel and an evening meal of traditional Slovenian food and wine... really delicious, with lovely friendly chat with mother and daughter team, Sonja and Zarja - they are like peas in a pod and are both great fun, cheerful and never stopped for a moment!  Such energy! As a solo traveller, I was made to feel very much at home and they both made sure I was well looked after.  So good was their hospitality, I decided to stay another night!  In the morning, I met other members of their team and everyone had ready smiles and were lovely and friendly, again nothing was too much trouble.  Truly a family business, I also met 'dad' who was just as charming and hands-on as everyone else! My room was in the new part of the hotel and was immaculate.  It was spacious with a lovely modern en-suite.  The bed was really comfortable and the windows had electric blinds that meant total blackness when closed, which for me was an absolute bonus.  I was travelling by motorcycle so I also really appreciated the use of their garage for secure overnight storage.  When I finally came to leave, I needed to find someone who could assist me with one of my tyres.  'Dad' stepped in and saved the day, by calling a local garage for me who was able to help me with a repair.  I really appreciated the help, it made life so much easier for me.

Position, excellent kitchen for dinner

It's pet friendly and has a useful kitchen. We loved the spotless clean room and bathroom. The owners are kind people and were able to help us whenever we needed.

Location beautiful. After ordering and paying for a room with a requirement for living with three dogs (Labrador Retriever), the landlord reconsidered the order and assigned a larger room to make us comfortable. Perfect place for dogs to walk. Breakfast varied.

It was amazing stay here, Local staff is super-nice! I can only reccomend to have a stop here whenever you will be passing by, There is enough parking space and rooms are comfy and clean.

Hard to believe but really nothing

Amazing, clean, well made with good atmosphere, quiet, close to Petzen and Jamnica, garage for bicycles, good restourant with good main dishes and tasty deserts, good breakfast with home like food. Personal is happy, smiley and really nice, charging you with energy.
