Lovely sized apartment, next door to a lovely bakery, eateries and a bar - Le Petit Social which is incredibly friendly and wonderful. Theres a sports/hiking etc shop just across the road too, which is incredibly handy. Bus stop to Chamonix was just up the road 30secs away which took less than 10mins to get us into Chamonix and they arrived every half hour. Lovely river walk also into Chamonix takes about 30mins. Amazing views of all the mountains in the front and back windows. Sauna downstairs was lovely. Working washing machine. Under floor heating in the bathroom. Shower ensuite to one of the rooms. Fully equipped kitchen. Use of bikes. Comfy sofas and lovely area to eat together. The host was really friendly and met us at the property and when we left. Welcome pack was useful. The small room with bunk bed is very small but it wasnt an issue for us. We absoluetly loved this place, we had fresh croissants and baguettes, cheese and sausage from next door nearly every morning. Would highly recommend!
The outside terrace/BBQ area involves walking around the building to the back. To be fair theres a decking area, it is tidyish, but its surrounded by other buildings and very much in the shade all day. There was garden furniture and a decent BBQ available to us if required. I was worried about this as previous reviews had mentioned it wasnt much, but we really didnt need to use it. The windows at the front of the building let in loads of sunlight and had amazing views of the mountains and glaciers. Our main bedroom smelt a bit damp, especially the wardrobe area. A few days into the stay though we didnt notice it so much. It was a bit musty. We had to wash our clothes again though as they started to smell of the same musty smell. This didnt affect our stay though.

The apartment is comfortable. The kitchen is great and an amazing living room. Two of the rooms are tight but sufficient for a good sleep. The location is perfect, with easy access to restaurants, ski lifts, easy access to trails, and the bus stop to go to Chamonix is 5 minutes walk. Parking is not really private, but we only struggled once in 2 weeks of stay.
One of the reasons that we chose this apartment was that it offers a garden. After seeing it, I would describe it more like an abandoned piece of land in the back of the building that you can access if you go out of the apartment and around the building: it is really bad. I would strongly advice to remove that facility from the list.
Finally, the apartment would benefit a lot from a little investment.

Fantastic apartment close to everything that you could need. Kitchen was equipped with most basic needs. Living room lovely and relaxing. 3rd bedroom is tiny!

The location was great - you can walk safely into Chamonix (on a path near the river) or free buses/trains there. Ample free parking near the lodge. Lovely shop to buy croissants nearby. Spacious lodge with room to store luggage. English TV and games for the children to play.
We really loved everything about the lodge but maybe a coffee machine would have come in handy - although the cafetière was fine
