We loved the little basement apartment. It was homey, clean, nice private access, all the amenities you could think of. The apartment is nicely stocked with snacks, some drinks, all the little things that so many places do not provide and you do not really want to pack for your vacation or go buy either. This was really a great little place for a small family or would be great for a friends getaway. The homeowners and their assistants were very sweet and are near if you need them for anything.

Very clean, well-stocked property, in a great location. The bed was comfortable, the towels were good quality. Plenty of outdoor seating areas. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

We had a great time at Bear House! Such a charming and unique place to stay. We stayed in the Stinson suite and it worked perfectly for our family of 4. Two separate bedrooms and a TV in the master allowed us some time to relax together after our kids went to sleep. The kids loved all the statues to look at in the yard. It's within walking distance of a few restaurants, which was very helpful. We are already planning to come back again!

We had an amazing stay in the St Elmo neighborhood last weekend. The location was beautiful....historic homes literally right down the road from the Incline Railroad. While it was roughly a 10 minute drive to the main downtown area, we could walk to several restaurants in the St Elmo district (Mr T's Pizza and Clumpie's Ice Cream were both a hit with our young children). The property itself was immaculate, and had all provisions needed for cooking and meal prep, including paper products, which I always appreciate. The outside property was also beautiful, and my kids enjoyed going on "bear hunts" and "treasure hunts". I would highly recommend this property if you are staying in Chattanooga!

The basement was the cave we wanted. Great place to stay. The owners think of everything. The space was clean and welcoming. 100% will stay here again

Roomier than we had anticipated, clean as a whistle, charmingly decorated. The apartment is in the lower level of a house in an established and well kept neighborhood at the foot of the mountain, close to restaurants and supermarket. Quiet and very comfortable. Management was very responsive to all questions.

This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Everything was beyond well-stocked. The snacks for the kids were a great touch, and they also loved the scavenger hunt. Perfect example of southern hospitality.

This place was the perfect spot for our visit to family! Only ten minutes drive up Lookout Mountain to all the attractions, short drive to downtown, and a walk to St Elmo! Such a wonderful location and a nice haven during our family trip! The owners are so wonderful and have many great recommendations and history about Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain! I would definitely stay here again while visiting family!

Very welcoming and responsive hosts, comfortable bed with nice linens and lots of bath supplies, everything we needed and more. We enjoyed sitting in one of the gardens at the end of the day, location is nice and a great base for daily trips. Photos are accurate.

Our stay at the Bear House was a total surprise. The host were great at check in, and we only saw them if we needed something. The neighborhood felt completely safe at all hours. Our apartment was the unbelievably part. The entire space was immaculate. The beds were incredible, everything you would need and then some was provided. A generous snack bowl and candy was supplied which was great with our busy schedule. Convenient to EVERYTHING! We want to book again to stay and enjoy when we don't have such a packed schedule. I would recommend staying on this property 10/10!

Would gladly stay here again. Unfortunately, usually travel with two french bulldogs so probably won't be able to. Cute little historic district just a few blocks from the incline railway. Several restaurants, coffee shop, grocery store, etc. Probably one of the best set up kitchens I've ever had.

I traveled for a quick weekend getaway with my three kids. The Stinson Suite was perfect for us. None of us are taller than 5’9” so the ceiling heights were not an issue but if my husband had been with us, he might have had to stay bent over in the bedroom area and shower. The location was perfect for the popular sites around Lookout Mountain. We drove to Rock City and Ruby Falls but walking distance to the Incline Railway and a few restaurants. The hosts were very friendly and had the suite fully stocked with all the necessities including a snack & treat bowl for all of us to enjoy😊 We felt totally safe in this charming and renovated historic home. Will definitely look here first when we decide to travel back to Chattanooga again!

We happened to choose a week when it rained all the time. We found indoor activities and nice restaurants, and it was always nice to come back to our cozy rooms, beautifully decorated for Christmas.

This was a cozy and very clean spot! Super convenient to everything. They had games, snacks, and some bottled water. The owners were excellent to deal with!! They are very kind! We very much appreciated the hospitality!

Easy communications, check-in/out was super easy. We stayed in the Stinson Suite and loved it! Cute little suite for a couple and a child, maybe 2. Kitchen was clean and well stocked. Very close to all major attractions, while being in a quiet area. Will definitely visit again!

Beautiful garden areas to sit and visit, have a coffee, or sip on your favorite drink at night! Great location for exploring everything in the area.

We had a great experience with this property. Everything was very clean, neat, and tidy. The linens were very high quality, and we enjoyed the locally made soap so much we found the store and bought some to bring home! The kitchen had high quality dishes and pots/pans/utensils for almost any baking or cooking you might want to do. We also used the washer and dryer to do a batch of laundry so we didn’t bring home many dirty clothes. The only minor negative thing that might bother some people was that the rooms are not exactly on one level. Yes, you walk down a flight of stairs to get to the suite, but once inside there are a couple of levels too. There is a slight incline/short ramp into the queen bedroom. To get to the full bedroom, there are 2-3 stairs. Also, inside the bathroom, there are a couple of stairs to get up to the tub/shower. None of these bothered us at all, but if you have a toddler learning to walk, or are an adult who does ok on flights of stairs but overall prefers flat areas, it would be nice to know ahead of time. Overall, we loved our time here! The Stinson suite was the perfect size for our family (mom, dad, girls 4 & 9). We would definitely recommend this property to anyone interested in visiting Chattanooga!!
