Overall wonderful property and ample space for my daughter and I. Close to lots of activities and downtown! Property as described and communication easy! 10/10 and would stay again!

My husband and our two children (4 and 6) stayed in the Stinson Suite for 4 nights. The property was great and the kids loved exploring the grounds (talking to Big Foot and riding scooters in the driveway). There was a playground right down the street which we enjoyed and the house very close to Lookout Mountain to visit Rock City and Ruby Falls and go hiking. Not in the center of downtown, but a quick 15-20 minute drive. We preferred the drive over being in the middle of all the hustle and bustle. The suite itself had everything we could have needed and was right next to the shared laundry which was convenient. 2nd bedroom was very small with low ceiling, but our kids slept in there so it was a non-issue.

It was a very cute area but it was a bit confusing knowing where to go exactly once we got in the driveway but management was very helpful via text. The room was basement level and beside the laundry which smelled amazing. The floor was very uneven in places and sloped throughout but overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Great location! We loved staying there. The only issue we had was the mattresses. We rolled into the middle when we slept. Other than that, i highly recommend staying here.

The Stinson Suite apartment was very comfortable, well decorated and well supplied with useful kitchen and bath items. The bed linens and towels were luxurious. This was my second time to stay at the Bear House and I would try to stay there again if I am in Chattanooga in the future.

The entire Bear house property is incredibly charming and inviting. The Stinson Suite was as well. The space is incredibly charming and cozy perfect for 1-2 couples or a small family. St Elmo is a lovely town and is perfectly walkable from the property. Beautiful area and so many great options for food, shopping, and experiences nearby.

This cute little rental had plenty of space for the two of us. It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with essentials, the numerous outdoor spaces were wonderful to relax after a day of activities. Great location close to many attractions.

Owners were great, property was nice, everything was clean and location was convenient to everything! You can even walk to five different restaurants and rwp ice cream shops!! This was an overall fantastic experience.

Unique opportunity to stay in an 1800’s home. Very thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. Without the rain we would have been able to enjoy the outdoor amenities as well.

During our stay, it’s nice to be able to come back to our room knowing it will be clean, restful and quiet. This is a place you would want to come back to over and over.

The hosts are a very sweet couple that live on the first floor. We stayed on the Stinson Suite and it was fillled with thoughtful touches like a basket of snacks, bottled waters, a coffee bar stocked with creamer and sugar, makeup remover wipes, toiletries, and even a supplies basket with deodorant and toothbrushes in case we forgot something. The location was perfect. We walked to the Incline Railway and restaurants, and Rock City was less than a 10 minute drive. Also, the beds were like sleeping on clouds! We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The Stinson Suite was cozy and charming. However being in the basement there were some ceiling height restrictions and the flooring was uneven making it difficult for older adults or those with disabilities.

Hard to picture any better place to stay than the Bear House. It was our second stay. Hard to get closer to Rock City.

We loved the little basement apartment. It was homey, clean, nice private access, all the amenities you could think of. The apartment is nicely stocked with snacks, some drinks, all the little things that so many places do not provide and you do not really want to pack for your vacation or go buy either. This was really a great little place for a small family or would be great for a friends getaway. The homeowners and their assistants were very sweet and are near if you need them for anything.

Very clean, well-stocked property, in a great location. The bed was comfortable, the towels were good quality. Plenty of outdoor seating areas. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

We had a great time at Bear House! Such a charming and unique place to stay. We stayed in the Stinson suite and it worked perfectly for our family of 4. Two separate bedrooms and a TV in the master allowed us some time to relax together after our kids went to sleep. The kids loved all the statues to look at in the yard. It's within walking distance of a few restaurants, which was very helpful. We are already planning to come back again!

We had an amazing stay in the St Elmo neighborhood last weekend. The location was beautiful....historic homes literally right down the road from the Incline Railroad. While it was roughly a 10 minute drive to the main downtown area, we could walk to several restaurants in the St Elmo district (Mr T's Pizza and Clumpie's Ice Cream were both a hit with our young children). The property itself was immaculate, and had all provisions needed for cooking and meal prep, including paper products, which I always appreciate. The outside property was also beautiful, and my kids enjoyed going on "bear hunts" and "treasure hunts". I would highly recommend this property if you are staying in Chattanooga!

The basement was the cave we wanted. Great place to stay. The owners think of everything. The space was clean and welcoming. 100% will stay here again

Roomier than we had anticipated, clean as a whistle, charmingly decorated. The apartment is in the lower level of a house in an established and well kept neighborhood at the foot of the mountain, close to restaurants and supermarket. Quiet and very comfortable. Management was very responsive to all questions.

This was the best VRBO we have ever stayed at. Everything was beyond well-stocked. The snacks for the kids were a great touch, and they also loved the scavenger hunt. Perfect example of southern hospitality.

This place was the perfect spot for our visit to family! Only ten minutes drive up Lookout Mountain to all the attractions, short drive to downtown, and a walk to St Elmo! Such a wonderful location and a nice haven during our family trip! The owners are so wonderful and have many great recommendations and history about Chattanooga and Lookout Mountain! I would definitely stay here again while visiting family!

The property was lovely. Would recomend it. Not really big enough for more than 3 people. Very well equped. Owner/manager very nice.

Very welcoming and responsive hosts, comfortable bed with nice linens and lots of bath supplies, everything we needed and more. We enjoyed sitting in one of the gardens at the end of the day, location is nice and a great base for daily trips. Photos are accurate.
