Earlier in the week when we first heard about the hurricane coming we asked about the possibility of cancelling or rescheduling. First we were told they knew nothing about a hurricane. Later we were told it probably would not be serious. It rained for most of our trip to Oceanside on Saturday. The storm caused us to be inside all day Sunday; the beach was closed and nothing was open locally. The location of the rental was excellent; the view of the beach is amazing. The rental itself could have been cleaner, especially the carpet and one of the living room chairs. The screen door is difficult to open. The ice maker does not work and leaks water. The smoke alarm went off and could not be reset on Sunday - we took it to the Patrol office. When we reported it to the mgt company, we were told to throw it away. Rain came in the balcony door during the storm. We had no way to dry the carpet. The towel bar in the smaller bath was falling off the wall. All of this was reported to management during our stay. None was attended to while we were there. We would also recommend you clean the exhaust fan in the bathroom. The kitchen overall was very nice. The beds were comfortable. We appreciated that a pack and play was provided. We had two cars (two families) and we had to move one of the cars everyday which wasn't always easy. We appreciated the location of the parking garage to condo. It was good to have a parking garage during a tropical storm.

We did have an issue with rainwater leaking into the condo from the sliding glass door. The management provided towels however the issue was not one that could be repaired while we were in the unit. We were also u able to get the fireplace to work. Other than these two challenges, the condocondo is perfectly located and the property is beautiful. We are planning to make this stay an annual trip.

My family enjoyed this beautiful beachside property. Condo had all amenities in kitchen , bathrooms and comfortable beds..linens and towels. Management was very responsive for small issues ( sliding door stuck, garbage/ recycling plan) and complex had beautiful landscaping, pool and communal laundry and BQ were clean and well maintained. Spent many hrs enjoying a coffee or glass of wine on balcony with the amazing view of beach/ ocean Would definitely return again.

However, on this unit, on our week, it was HOT and no fans worked. AARON the prop. Manager agreed to reimburse us for 3 fans we were to purchase, but he ignored our 2 requests for payments. Additionally, the freezer portion of the fridge was not working at all, and the replacement and painting of the outside stairway railing was a bit inconvenient. But sometime repairs are to be expected. Otherwise the unit was GREAT!!

I don't like spending money, and the price to stay on the beach is expected to be high. So I was reluctant to spend my money here. But the location is quite nice, as you're just a few short steps (through a gate) to get to the beach. And the neighboring guests were wonderfully nice and quiet. The sunsets were impressive. Accessibility to the beach and other beach related facilities was amazingly easy. And the property was clean, quiet, comfortable, and in all ways what we had hoped.

It’s an end unit so had lots of windows. The kitchen was beautiful and updated as were the bathrooms. We were within walking distance of the pier, the harbor and downtown. We had one minor problem which maintenance crew responded to quickly. We used the pool and hottub and they were wonderful! Only drawback was not being able to use the washer and dryer in the unit. We will definitely return!

Reviewer Comments: This was our third stay at North Coast Village, and D14 was by far the best overall unit and location! The unit itself was very nice, with an updated kitchen & master bathroom. The ocean view from the deck was fabulous! It would be helpful to have written instructions for using the televisions! We didn't know we had access to the local channels on the main TV until the last night, when I either accidentally hit a button or it came on by itself. Since there are 3 TV's, the remotes should be labeled for each TV, thus ensuring that the applicable remotes are in the correct rooms. We also could not figure out how to use the microwave, as there was no booklet in any of the kitchen drawers. We had to spray a few times a day for the ants which were in both bathrooms. It rained heavily on our second day, and the rain water came in through the bottom of the sliding door, as the deck is slanted down toward the door, and not away from it. This caused a significant wet area on the carpet in front of the door, as the water was coming in all along the track for the sliding door. This appears to be a long standing problem, as the track was heavily rusted. We had to put towels down to absorb the water on the carpet. We also found a leak along the track of the master bedroom window. I sent an email to the property management office, notifying them of these issues. One general concern as far as the security of North Coast Village was that some of the locks on the gates going to the beach were broken, allowing non guest to walk on to the property!

Amazing stay. 11 out of 10. 🤗 beautifully upgraded end unit condo with views of the sand, waves & pier. (The pictures honestly don’t even do the view justice.) easy parking to unit access, and easy access to the beach/ strand. Not a single complaint. We will be back, and look forward to it.

We had an outstanding stay at D14 Coastal Cottage in the North Coast Village. The view from the patio, the proximity to the beach, and the grounds and facilities were outstanding. Easy check in check out process. Had a small issue with the refrigerator but maintenance team was quick and responsive. Already planning our next vacation!

The parking is awesome being so close to the unit as well. A little disappointing to not be able to use the washer and dryer in the unit and found the whole app process in the laundry room a pain considering wifi/phone signal in the laundry room is poor at best, but once I got over the frustration of the new laundry process, all was good.

We had a slight delay getting into our room because it hadn't been cleaned but the rental company bent over backwards to make it up to us. Also this unit is definitely one of the nicest we have stayed in at this complex. We have been coming every years for the past 20 years!

The property looks exactly as pictured. What you don’t see is the quick and amazing access to everything! Parking was so close, beach, pool- all within steps. We absolutely loved this place! It’s clearly been updated and it’s beautiful and of really good quality. We will be back!

Kitchen was perfectly stocked and we had everything we needed for entertaining and dining.
