The property was perfect for the 4 of us and our large Labrador (Timber), exactly as described and even more relaxing and scenic than expected. Our host Shawn couldn’t have been more accommodating and kind. Looking forward to the opportunity to visit again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our week at this very comfortable and peaceful vintage home. The central air was especially welcomed on days with high humidity. Shawn was very helpful with restaurant recommendations (even on our drive down from the Baltimore airport), was readily available if we’d had other questions, and had lots of extra necessities available if needed. She was kind enough to let us know we were lucky to be there when thousands of lightening bugs congregated in the trees along the driveway each evening. A magical experience.

The location by the water with light and views was fantastic. The host extremely helpful and friendly. We had everything we needed and the space was clean and light with many lovely touches. Highly recommend.

Halfway between our home and our son's home we discovered this gem on the Chesapeake. Our host was amazing. The views are spectacular. We hope to visit again.

Check-in and out is incredibly easy. Sean is so friendly and informative. The views were amazing! We spent so much of our time just hanging out in the shade in the back yard. Eating crabs pulled from the pier and roasting s’mores over the fire pit were some of our favorite activities. Perfect little spot for our family get away.

Our time here was everything we hoped it would be! We arrived a bit later than we had originally mentioned to Shawn but she was very flexible. When we did finally arrive Shawn gave us a tour of the property and gave us lots of tips and pointers. She is a wonderful host/owner! She is extremely easy, and quick, to communicate with! As for the property-it was SO charming! The creek it sits on is actually very calm. The neighbors keep to themselves so you don’t have to worry about that while staying there. We brought our dog so we just had to make sure she didn’t chase the neighbors cats-but it didn’t end up being an issue. There is a great choice of relaxing music to play, a great DVD collection with a ton of kid options and all kinds of games from a DVD Clue to marbles. The house and property were clean, quiet/peaceful, a quick drive to every day conveniences (groceries, gas, restaurants) and relatively close to DC, Baltimore and Annapolis. The crab traps were fun and easy for the kiddos-and made a fun dinner experience! And the fireflies…they were simply magical! I went out every night to sit in the backyard and just watched them twinkle.

Renting this property was so very easy. Shawna made sure we had all the necessities and a quaint, lovely cottage. It was just the right place with view of the bay. Beautiful place with lots of memories of our past. Location was great for all the places to visit and just peaceful and gorgeous views.

Had a wonderful time. Lovely well kept property. Picturesque location. Enjoyed kayaking and great for our dog as well. Attentive host and many nice touches.

Great location, very quiet, great view of the bay, house was comfortable, older home with everything you need, some minor updates needed but very functional, host is very friendly but gives you privacy, appreciate allowing pets as they are a part of our family. Overall great experience!

I enjoyed every minute that I spent sitting quietly outside without being bothered by anyone else. It was wonderful. I recommend this to anyone looking for a staycation especially. I had a perfect quiet place to enjoy Maryland.

We had a wonderful time in this spacious, charming, eclectic, home. There's just something magical about that water view! The location was great, and we visited lots of neighboring towns with our pooch, including Annapolis. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed and then some. Plenty of restaurants nearby, and there's a supermarket that's less than five minutes away. Shawn was a terrific and responsive host. We hope to to come back!

I would highly recommend this property. It was very peaceful and had alot of watercrafts available for use. The owner was very friendly and helpful with anything you would need.

Quiet waterfront property. Very low key relaxing experience.

A perfect view, pleasant rooms, enough space for 5 to come together and spread out. Went for a hike nearby, enjoyed the firepit under the stars, and even enjoyed the view while playing games inside during the rain. A wonderful break from our everyday.

So close to home, has everything we need, a lovely place to enjoy waterfront view, lots of amenities and lovely well kept property with a great owner/ host.

My friend and I stayed at the cottage for 3 nights and it was perfect. We enjoyed the water front view, beautiful yard, kayaks, and fire pit. Great place for large groups or families with tons of space, beds, and seating. Highly recommend staying with Shawn!

We had a wonderful stay: enjoying the pier, crabbing, swimming in the bay, watching sunsets, biking, getting seafood carryout, day trips to North Beach, and generally relaxing in the large yard and cozy living areas. Also great for socially distant visits with relatives coming from DC during this difficult time. Shawn was very helpful and attentive. Great fun to experience this part of MD.

Very cozy waterside cottage with lots of fun amenities on site - kayaks, inner tubes, crabbing/fishing supplies and shared dock. Great air conditioning with all the appliances and kitchenware we needed. Even had a large pot for steaming the crabs we caught with the crab traps. Shawn was wonderful and very attentive. My kids fell in love with her cute beagle/border collie mix and tried to talk me into smuggling her home with us.

We enjoyed our place by the bay, but admittedly felt a little like we were walking on eggshells with adjacent properties connected. With the sharing of amenities, including the dock, there was more of a "can we go use that space or are they using it right now?" than we anticipated.

Everything we needed was here.

We were wanting a quiet, dog-friendly setting to spend Christmas with our daughter in Maryland. It was a very peaceful and private place with spectacular sunrises. The house was fully-equipped with everything you could want. The location was a quick drive to Annapolis where we visited some historic landmarks and enjoyed walking the downtown shops. Closer to the house are some lovely little waterfront communities with fun restaurants. We also found a few places to do some easy hiking in the woods. All in all, a lovely trip!

A group of us (three 60+ ladies) stayed at this cottage for a long weekend. Although the weather wasn't perfect, we really enjoyed the water view! The cottage had everything we needed - lots of paper goods and cooking implements! All the other reviews talked about how friendly the owner is, but we never saw her/him? There was a lot of activity at the house next door (which we assumed was the owners), which did not bother us at all. The only disconcerting thing was a verbal altercation on Saturday afternoon, lots of loud "cuss" words thrown about and then a lot of police activity next door. Not sure what was going on, but we were a little nervous for a while. It all seemed to end well, so not a reason for us to downgrade our review!

Great place to stay, kayak and play games with the kids.

We had such a great stay at the cottage. Perfect for a family of 6. We were able to go into DC with ease. We were able to relax outside and enjoy the kayaks. We made new friends with Winnie and "Lion". Shawn was the perfect host and had everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

The hostess and her dog were so friendly, the rental was clean and had everything we needed, and the recommendations for meals were spot on! We will definitely be back!
