We stayed at John's place for a family getaway. It was close to everything! And a 5 minute drive to the beach, We enjoyed hanging out by the water and relaxing. The house had everything we needed plus more. Plus we were lucky enough to see a rocket launch and 2 pass overs by the ISS. I'd definitely recommend it.

This house had everything you need to enjoy a vacation. We felt at home from the minute we stepped foot in the door. We have never stayed in a house that provided us with so many amenities. House was cozy, neighbors were very friendly and located in an ideal spot. We definitely will return!!

We came down for a basketball tournament. When the owner says you don’t need to bring anything but sheets and towels, they mean it. This home is beautiful, warm (not in temperature) and cozy. The view is breathtaking and neighbors are kind. Its about a 5 min drive to the beach. Our pups were very much at home. I will be going back

Wonderful, gem of a property in Fenwick Island! We loved the beauty of being on the canal, use of the kayaks and excellent location to the beach, mini golf and more! The owner is very thoughtful with attention to details that you won't find in other rentals. House was clean, well stocked and much more beautiful in person than the pictures depict!

Great place right on the water. Great location, a short drive to the beach. Had everything we needed and plenty of supplies included. Overall a perfect vacation for our family!

Nice location, kayaks were a bonus, great view out back. Somewhat small house, but good size for a single family. Walking on the gravel barefoot outside everywhere is painful. The bathroom under-mount sink cracked while we were there, we let the host know right away. What followed was an unacceptable customer experience. The property manager made false claims like we drank the host's wine, stained the carpet, used house supplies without replacing them, and didn't leave the house clean. We don't even drink wine, didn't open a single bottle. We did use a spare toothbrush because we forgot one, but we immediately replaced it with a new one. The host kept the damage deposit and also claimed $300 from the property damage insurance. Upon asking for an itemized list of the amounts deducted and justification, the host has yet to respond after over a week. I don't understand how the sink could have cracked, but as we told the host, I can understand requesting us to pay for a ~$50 sink and even ~$100 install cost since it occurred while we were there. However, the amount of damages, that the host is claiming, is inflated significantly. The property listing states professional cleaning between guests, but that does not appear to be the case. For example, when we arrived, the refrigerator had a fair amount of food left in it, showers had used soap, etc. Upon leaving, the property manager emailed us saying we "left the house very dirty". However, we swept, did the dishes, wiped down all surfaces, made the beds, even arranged the pillows, etc. Our dog is well trained and had zero accidents while we were there. We took care of the house like it was our own, we did not leave it dirty, and a professional cleaner would have had an easy job after us. Since the property manager still complained about cleanliness, I suspect a full professional cleaning is not actually done between guests. The host's communication, or lack thereof, and the damages reported do not accurately portray how we treated the house. If you stay here, I recommend planning to not get the damage deposit returned and clean significantly before checking out.

The property and amenities are fantastic!!! Owner is super to communicate with, he makes your vacation a vacation !!!!!! The home shows owner pride and that makes special. Location is great Thank you for letting us share your home we look forward to coming back

Other than check out is way too early, this was a beautiful home that you can tell the owners keep In mind providing a great experience ! Fair pricing and the wine exchange was very cool !

Renting this property was an easy process, all photos were accurate. All information was available and easy to access.

We loved that we were on a canal and could sit on the deck and gaze at the water. I'm afraid of jellyfish, so I declined to take the kayak out, but most people wouldn't be so wimpy! Fantastic vacation!

John was a great host. We communicated frequently before our arrival and he was available to answer questions. Great location convenient to Food Lion and the local beaches. We launched our boat at the Bayville Marina and docked at the house in the canal. Water in the canal is calm and plenty deep enough for our 20ft deck boat and allowed us quick access to the bay. We used the house's crab traps to catch just enough crabs in three nights to have a few nice crab cakes during the last day. House is well equipped with kitchen essentials. Great chef-quality knives too! Looking forward to a return trip.

We are never staying in a hotel at the beach again. Our trip was the best. A beautiful house with plenty of amenities right on the water. Such a quiet and peaceful neighborhood. My kids loved it. We will be back next summer.

Despite the rainy weather this past Memorial Day Weekend was a blast. John is a great host and answers all questions promptly. House is at a great location on the bay - walking distance from many restaurants and shops. Beach is only a 2-5 minute job and parking was easy. We would recommend staying here and so would our pups!

Great house in quiet neighborhood on a canal. Very clean and extremely well stocked with kitchen essentials. Close to several restaurants and about a mile from the beach. Managed to catch some crabs but no fish. We had a great stay

Great water front rental that is very close to beach. Beach house was very clean, extremely organized, and stocked with all necessities... even had a kayak/life jackets and bikes! Amazing time with our kids and dog. Outdoor shower made all beach trips easy. Beautiful upgraded washer/dryer made laundry time easier. Loved the outside deck ... beautiful bay views. Perfect family rental! Owner John was extremely pleasant and helpful. John was easy reach and answered all questions/concerns. Will definitely rent property again!

Pleasant stay in a comfortable house on the water. Easy access to nice Kayaking areas, close (5 min drive, 10-Bike, 20 Walk) but not too close to beach and activities. Well stocked pantry (spices/condiments etc. saving us $ on grocery extras), extra bikes, single kayak, beach chairs etc. Nice vacation spot if you prefer access to the bay, quiet neighborhood over active beach zone. Drove each day and always found street parking at the beach. Comfortable for 6, but not huge. Quiet neighborhood, felt like a local. Owner supplies everything needed (but sheets/towels) to make the stay comfortable

Perfect house for a small family with close proximity to Fenwick Island beach and restaurants. Loved having our boat on the canal. House is clean, well decorated, and has many ammentities including a dock , kayak, bikes. Owner takes pride in his home and is very kind and hospitable..

The Lee house was in a beautiful location and was clean and had bones appliances. The house was fully stocked; I even found birthday candles when I realized I forgot them! We already reserved for next year!
