Uitstekend stadshotel met mooi zwembad. Heel lekker en uitgebreid ontbijt. Op kwartiertje lopen van het oude stadscentrum.
We hadden heel luidruchtige buren die 's nachts voor het nodige lawaai zorgden.

Frühstück täglich optional Buchbar und es gibt alles was man an Frühstück benötigt. Interior klassisch modern und stets sauber. Das in dem Hotel befindende Gym ist mehr als ausreichend und bietet einen Spar Bereich für 20€ p.p. Die Drinks in der Lobby waren sehr lecker und eine echte Preisempfehlung. Abends läuft Fußball über die zahlreichen TVs im Lobby & Empfangsbereich. Alle Menschen dort sehr gesellig und nett. Personal sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Zimmerreinigung toll!
Ein paar Kleinigkeiten wären wünschenswert gewesen… Das Abendessen im Hotel lies zu wünschen übrig und dafür viel zu teuer.
In den Zimmern fehlen leider Kleiderschränke, insofern lebt man aus dem Koffer - nicht so schön. Das Badezimmer verfügt alles was man benötigt aber leider keine Toilettenbürste vorhanden. Sehr seltsam. Schade ist das dass Gym extra kostet und nicht mit im Preis inbegriffen ist. Lage in dem alten Stadtteil, wer wirklich Zentral sein möchte sollte auch ein Hotel in der “modernen” Stadt Umgebung suchen.

We changed our room requirement on arrival and were charged quite a bit more than booking.com would have charged us. This was disappointing. But too far from the centre of town.

Good standard hotel. Comfortable bed and the pool and area very useful to have on hot days. Location is good for the Old Town and Guggenheim with the Metro close by with one stop to the Old Town. Good parking (at a cost).
Choice at breakfast also to a good standard.
Booking in was slow but this seemed to be due to some "awkward" clients in front of us rather than the hotel staff.
Otherwise no problems.

Great pool and very comfortable beds and pillows. Fantastic bathroom.
Breakfast was shambolic. Messy tables, no tables available but told to just go find one so had to clean ourselves, no cutlery.

Not the hotel, but the area is all steep hills and a lot of walking. Many steps, we had sore legs are the end of our trip.

Great location, close to the Old Town but you should keep in mind that you'll need to go up the slopes returning to the hotel from the city center. Anyway, Bilbao subway will help you out and Santutxu station is 5-6 mins. away from Occidental Bilbao. Although the hotel is at pretty busy transport artery the district is great with an old church and a pedestrian alley and park right next to it. Friendly staff, clean interior and comfortable lobby that appeals you to have a coffee with croissant in the morning!
The only problem was the hotel's wi-fi, it was weak/slow so it was better to use mobile data instead.

Clean rooms, working AC, daily cleaning service is perfect, close to the metro station, fantastic restaurant and the staff is very helpful!
Old appliances, squeaky door to the bathroom so you wake up everyone at night. light switch was sparking so it didn’t feel safe at all. The pool can’t be used by kids and this was the main reason for us to book this expensive stay. parking costs 20euro per day

Pictures are incorrect! Normal rooms don't have a bathtub, had to pay for an upgrade to get one.
