The property has character and is charming.

Unfortunately the property was advertised as 3 bedrooms (and had photos of 3 bedrooms) but only has 2. This meant one of our group sleeping on a mattress on the living room floor. The owners refused monetary compensation - suggesting we have a free course at their restaurant nearby which we didn’t want as we had young sailors needing to get to sleep. Booking,com limited their compensation to 20% despite us only getting 2/3rds of the bedrooms we’d booked. I suggested 33% would be appropriate. The owners accused me of leaving without paying - I had not and all our belongings were still in the property. When the accusation was made. Booking.com told us to pay the owners In full (which in good faith I did) and only later told me they would limit their liability. I gave the owners the opportunity to pay some compensation to get to a third - they declined and accused me of blackmail. In fact they could have had a review that said we had a problem but it was resolved amicably; instead they get a review that says the facts as they now are ; they misrepresented the property, didn’t sort it out and made accusations which were incorrect and seemed designed to position themselves as the victims. Utterly awful to spend half our trip dealing with such nonsense. What a shame they don’t know how to resolve things sensibly. So mind your eye is my advice. I’ve a long history of booking through booking.com and this is the first issue we’ve ever had. It’s not been a pleasant experience and rather tainted our trip.
