Not fancy but clean and comfortable. If you like old properties as I do then it’s for you.
We were unaware of there being an appt above and a cabin behind. They were not a problem except an odor in part of house from appt above.

We loved our stay at the Cajun hostel! We rented out the entire home which was very conveniently located and perfect for my 1 year old son, mom, husband and me. Neighbor were friendly, house was comfortable and well equipped.
Our first night there someone rummaged through our car and snagged a jacket. Our fault for not leaving locked and nothing of high value was taken, but something to be aware of. At no fault of the host or neighborhood - people do not go to bad areas to steal, rather nicer ones!

Great stay at a convenient location
We loved our stay at the Cajun hostel! We rented out the entire home which was very conveniently located and perfect for my 1 year old son, mom, husband and me. Neighbor were friendly, house was comfortable and well equipped.
Our first night there someone rummaged through our car and snagged a jacket. Our fault for not leaving locked and nothing of high value was taken, but something to be aware of. At no fault of the host or neighborhood - people do not go to bad areas to steal, rather nicer ones!

Clean and comfortable
The home was clean and the beds were comfortable. There was a nice outdoor area with a firepit, swing and we had room to set up a set of cornhole boards and play. The home was just the right size for our group and plenty of equipment in the kitchen. If we had known there was a little charcoal grill there we would've grilled out the first night. Neighborhood was quiet and plenty of stores and restaurants in short driving distance. No complaints!

Couldn’t even stay at the house because of how dirty it was... I tried getting in touch of property owner but got no answer..... Couldn’t find any hotels to rent because of previous hurricane . Ended up finally finding a hotel 45 min from where we needed to be. Would never recommend this place to anyone... hoping I can get at least some of my money back from this ordeal.

The property in clean home is an older home. States washer dryer for use but dryer you have to pay to use. No extra towels. When contacted the owner responded quickly. Stated would have dryer turned to free but unsure if it was. Water in bath was cold when informed offered to send out Plummer immediately. The place is dated but was what I needed. The owner was very nice. Would be great to have extra towels for the long stay

Great Stay
This place was great for our group. The location was close to downtown and the covered parking was spacious enough for 6 motorcycles with enough room left to party in the evenings. The owners were very responsive, checking in several times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property.

Perfect Location and Value
Throughout our stay, I was amazed and what we'd paid for such a spacious and accommodating location. We rented the entire house, and the living room was perfect for family gatherings. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms are old and as expected for the age of the house. Would definitely stay there again.

Not happy at all
Good morning I am contacting you regarding our stay or lack there of...we left last night because 1.it was hot 2. Bunk #4 was rented out to someone 3.The guy starts drinking beer out of the refrigerator 4. We were blocked in by another guest thankfully we were able to get out...I should have been informed that a bunk could have been rented out to someone else who’s is not in my party we were a party of 8 (which according to advertisement the house sleeps 7 ) ..I think this is very bad advertising I did not feel comfortable having my family sleep in the same room with a stranger.
I am still waiting on a response from the owner when I sent a messenge saying I was leaving last night and sent another message this morning and have yet to have a response

Owner is nice.
They control the AC from a phone app. We would set it for 70, and it would get a adjusted to a higher temp, assuming from their phone app. The shower set up is not designed for handicap, tall people, big or the elderly. The claw foot tub needs a slip mat, and nothing to grab if you slip. Water pressure drops in shower when some flushes toilets. Toilets, need some space in the front room toilet. If you have broad shoulders, not going to fit comfortably, narrow space to sit. The set up is a Hostel, if you don't rent the whole house, you will be sharing the living quarters. Bedrooms are secure. Bedrooms, livingroom kitchen, and dining room we great. We rented the whole house. For the price, was a great stay.

Comfortable house! Great landlord!!
We loved our stay at the Cajun Hostel! We rented the whole house for our family for Christmas. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and there are condiments in the pantry. The owner is very laid back and accommodating. We really enjoyed sitting out under the covered patio, as the weather was especially nice. We will be back.

we had a wonderful stay, nine of us. the house was clean, comfortable, and centrally located. the owner was flexible and readily available to answer questions, and even went above and beyond by providing wine by the bedsides! we'd easily stay here again.

Home in poor condition, one bathroom could not be used due to mold, furniture had holes/very old, kitchen was not clean, old food in refrigerator. Was advertised as a home on website, we found out it is a hostel not for family with children,
