Central location, traditional Norwegian breakfast

Sijainti Bergenissä loistava. Matkaa lähimmälle light rail -pysäkille oli vain noin 10 min kävellen. Kaunis alue, jossa palvelut lähellä. Näkymät huoneen ikkunoista upeat. Henkilökunta ystävällinen. Hyvä sänky ja myös vuodesohva mukava nukkumiseen.
Aamupalalla oli kahta erilaista leipää. Vaihtoehtoja olisi voinut 4 vrkn yöpymisen aikana olla enemmän. Juomavalikoima vesi, appelsiinimehu ja kevytmaito. Enemmän vaihtoehtoja lasten makuun olisimme kaivanneet. Omenamehu oli loppu koko aikana. Hotelliarviossa luki, että tarjolla on iltaisin vohveleita. Niitä ei ainakaan meidän vierailumme aikana ollut tarjolla.
Loma sattui juuri sellaiseen ajankohtaan, kun Bergenissä oli 22-23 astetta. Kattohuoneisto lämpeni päivän aikana, minkä vuoksi oli öisin pidettävä ikkunoita auki. Silloin kuitenkin kaduilta kuului melua. Viimeisenä yönä oli jo viilempää, joten ikkunat voitiin pitää suljettuina ja nukuimme hyvin.
Huonekoko oli ihan ok 2 aikuiselle ja 2 lapselle, koska olimme paljon myös ulkona. Sadesäällä kuivaustilaa vaatteille olisi hyvä olla enemmän. Myös koukkuja pyyhkeille olisi hyvä olla enemmän.

The friendly, professional staff were helpful with giving me information I needed. Easy to walk to the city centre and around the area with inclines.
Breakfast had a great variety.

The room was spacious and quiet. Complimentary waffles were a nice touch.
You need to dry the floor with a squeegee after shower. There are blackout rolo blinds but sunlight is not completely blocked on the sides.

Very comfortable and updated, very helpful and friendly staff . We had to leave before their breakfast time but they made us a takeaway one . Waffles in the afternoon was a nice touch too.
Didn't realize it was at the top of a very steep hill , great for a view not so good when you have a lot of luggage.

Coffee and waffles upon arrival was a nice surprise. Very comfortable bed. Great breakfast- fresh orangejuice! Great location.
Shower did not work properly, no waterpressure at all !!!->big dissapointment (could not wash my hair in the morning/bad hair day on may 17th in Norway😟) Very tiny and dark bathroom.

A lovely hotel in a fantastic location, right in the thick of charming historic streets and houses. Excellent breakfast spread with fantastic bread and herring; a really spacious room with good bathroom facilities and amenities. Staff were excellent, really friendly and professional and being offered waffles as part of our stay was a welcome perk.
I didn't realise until after booking that the hotel is part of a Norway-wide social scheme offering an entry to work and training opportunities; I was so pleased to know I was contributing towards what seems to be a really valuable opportunity for people who are, or have been, in need of a new start, not just a generic corporate chain.
Towels were a little frayed at the edges and the bedside cabinets a little worn - but these are minor cosmetic quibbles as the hotel was immaculately clean.

breakfast buffet was amazing! great selection and homemade bread, warm from the oven. also waffles in the evening. good location- 12 minute walk to the Hurtigruten terminal and 15 minutes to the funicular. friendly staff.
room was small but we knew the price reflected this. light switch for the bathroom in a weird spot, have to step up into the bathroom. lugging suitcases up the lovely staircase is a little difficult. they offer to help.

The location was great, it was clean and there were a lot of options at breakfast. It's good value for Norway, I don't think you'll find a better hotel in Bergen for the price. It's a basic hotel but it has everything you need for a couple of nights.

the location is unbelievable authentically quaint, quiet but easy to walk to the city centre and so close to the Hurtigruten port! I adore the heated bathroom floor- shower is great.
Breakfast did not disappoint, Scandi buffet with fish and prawns and more. The evening waffles are the real deal- freshly cooked, fluffy and delish.
I really can’t find fault- it suited me and my needs perfectly!

Breakfast was really great - especially enjoyed the different kinds of fish! Location good walking distance to the center. Free waffles in the late afternoon. Very friendly personnel that went out of their way to accommodate us - for instance making us a cup of tea (for free) in the early afternoon even though we already checked out in the morning. Beds are good and room is a decent size. Bathroom also good, clean and good size too.
Only thing I would say is that there is no lift, so can be tricky if you have heavy luggage and a room upstairs.
