Location between the train station and the seafront.

The toilet was separate the actual room, which meant leaving the room going down some step to use the toilet. But the sink was back in the room which meant you weren't able to clean your hands immediately after using the toilet. Meaning a risk of spreading germs.

The room itself was a comfortable size. I had a room that had a toilet outside the room which was close by. It was easy to check in and check out. It was easy to control the temperature of the room (winter) and turn the radiator up and down as needed which was good. I had no issues with the staff etc while there and they were helpful when needed. The room was very clean as was the toilet room.

The bed was very uncomfortable, as were the pillows. All 4 pillows were hard and flat and the mattress was hard too. This is down to personal preference I guess. The toilet was in a separate room which was absolutely fine as that’s the room we chose, but there was no radiator in there, and the toilet was at an angle which was not pleasant at all, and was freezing cold. I also used the hairdryer which cut out on me, and then borrowed my friends who was staying next door, which also cut out on me. I did not have time as it was 9:55am to get a third hairdryer as it was time to check out.

the location in Hastings was very good for me, the room was very good for me. The people were very friendly and helpful

the only thing i didn't like about staying at the Townhouse has nothing to do with the facility, it is the fact that a mall was built across the street from it, and the truck and service entrance is directly in line with the rooms, lots of noise and trucks and equipment at 530am

Great food and band in the pub below and very good value.

Shame they don't do breakfast onsite but plenty of local options.

We knew before we arrived that being an old building our room had no double glazing. Being early risers this was no problem but you can hear everything that passes on the street

Huge room with bath, convenient to everything you'd want to do in town by foot. Excellent use of space with TV and seating area to relax in.

Some road noise due to location, though this is not too bad given the room was very high up.

The room was spacious and clean, small TV but had all the channels. Bed was slanted I think down to the slanted floor so we had to sleep with our heads the wrong end and the mattress was very soft you could hear the springs so I did not sleep well at all however it did the trick. The location although not in the old town as we would have liked was very close by. The restaurant downstairs did a small but a good menu selection and I have to say I wish we had booked for the steak night and the sunday roast as it looked delicious !

The mattress was too soft and the noise of cars racing down the road late at night, early morning but cant change the idiots!

A lovely large spacious light and airy room in a gorgeous old building. Full of charm, character and original features. Building and room very clean (and smelt lovely). We wanted for nothing. Very convenient central location. Beats the chain hotel I used to stay in whilst in Hastings hands down, and much better value for money. Didn't really miss breakfast on-site as so many options so close by. We will be back!!

I liked everything. My only request would be either plumper (or additional) pillows, and perhaps some form of additional side/ambient lighting as the bedside ones were not quite enough and the main ceiling one a bit bright for evenings.

The room was big, clean & everything we needed. Staff are very friendly & helpful. Unfortunately we didn’t eat there but the food looked amazing.

Why the location is excellent being an older building in town without double glazing the road outside can get quite busy and noisy an issue if maybe your a light sleeper.

The friendliness and professionalism of the staff, the couple of things we asked for were sorted immediately.

Sticky power button on shower made it hard to turn off. The long walk to the car park, if only the hotel could use the large , empty car park behind the building. After being spoilt by the size of room 1 last time, room 11 was a bit small but had everything you needed.

Town centre Location. Bar below with fantastic friendly staff Food in bar was exceptional Room was light and airy Instructions and directions were clear Booking in and out was fast and easy

I was on the top floor and have slight mobility issues, but my fault as I didn't state it on the booking. The stairs were steep and the lighting on the top stairs was very poor, almost pitch black. There might have been an overhead light switch, but I couldn't find it in the dark. Room was exceptionally clean, apart from the tea cups, which hadn't been washed. Had to use my own cup.

Good location and the staff very friendly. We parked our car in the Multi-store opposite the hotel at the low cost of £12 for 24 hrs. Had our evening meal at the hotel which was wonderful. The only think with our room was , we felt the bathroom needed redecorating .

Nothing apart from I do think they should lay on breakfast.

Room smelt of cigarette smoke. The head of the bed was markedly lower that the foot meaning I had to sleep the wrong way round ! Bed itself very uncomfortable with a thin mattress . As mentioned the room was on a main road with heavy traffic most of the night .

Very comfortable bed. Very happy that there was an electronic fan. Loved the live band Friday night.

For £80 the room was small had to crawl to the end of the bed to get out. Pllus £13 parking and then find your own breakfast makes it an expensive stay. Also the choice of fish or a chicken burger on your alacarte menu with q0% off is not really appealing! Not a good end to a honeymoon. And Hastings well! Our advice stay in Arundul.

Staff are very friendly and the place is clean and cozy. We got a free upgrade to the room as well. Miska was very helpful throughout the booking and stay. The cookhouse cafe which they recommend for breakfast was indeed a great place to eat as well. Pissaro's, the pub below/beside Town House, also serves up great food for dinner and staff is very friendly.
