I have stayed in the Barnsbury House for two nights and I really enjoyed my stay here - like my warm home. The staff here are very friendly and helpful, giving me a lot of traveling tips. I enjoyed the talk with them. The breakfast is also very delicious. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Nuwara Eriya :)

Nice place for an overnight stop. A little out of town but good view accross the lake towards the mountains. Good breakfast.

The location was excellent. The scenery was very beautiful. The breakfast was also good. Beds were also comfy

Amenities like soap, shampoos were not available. Besides the room felt a bit damp and cold. The bathroom was a bit congested.

The staff was really nice and helpful, they picked us from the train station and were really considerate.

The location is ok but really not in the center and the house is ok but a bit old, it's not amazing comfort. I guess you could say it's ok for the price.

Booked 2 Deluxe double rooms. they are not in the expected condition. one room with 2 different size beds. not even a chair in the room. NO TV. no proper parking area. The manager knows nothing. he called and asked someone for every detail. Disappointed. not recommended for staying.

The service was excellent and the staff is incredibly friendly. We went for our honeymoon trip and they put some flowers, chocolates and strawberries as a gift. 100% recomended

The place is great but the staff is amazing-very kind and helpful! They made the best out of our short stay in Nuwara Eliya! Highly recommend The Barnsbury House! Make sure to add them to your Sri Lanka list!

The staff were very well trained and professional. They went above and beyond. The hotel was clean and tidy. The location was really good as well. The wifi might need an upgrade.

The hosts were helpful and assisted us with ordering some pizza. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. The common area had a beautiful view of the lake and it was only a short walk away.

The rooms were not soundproof and we had some pigeons outside that woke us up at 6 am. The wifi was slow and the water pressure and temperature was inconsistent.

The staff was great, very attentive. Rinosh showed me beautiful places on his tuk tuk and was super patient and friendly. Highly recommended!

Just notice you need to inform them about your arrival time especially if you come in the morning

The bed was comfortable . Rooms are very clean. The location is easy to access and very close to the Gregary Lake.Cable TV works with many channels. The cleanliness of the property is exceptional ! The view of the common balcony is awesome.

The hot water shower and Tap in the sink need some improvement. Takes so much time for hot water to come. Breakfast was not as much as we expected before reservation . We read in reviews the breakfast contains with a good variety .But ours didn't contain so. I got a discount from booking.com as I am in "Genius level two". But I doubt that when we get Genius level discounts , we get diminished service from hotels 🤔🤔🤔. Which is completely opposite of what we expect by reaching those Genius levels. We get Genius levels because we travel alot. So it's booking.com's responsibility to make sure the loyal customers are always satisfied with the services with discounts. We actually got a 20% discount and the amount was just 30 USD.which is very cheap. It is acceptable the hotel cannot afford to give much with 30 USD. So I am not overly concerned with this. BUT the point is this. We get to Genius levels because we travel and book through Bookin.com always. A discount is appreciated but same time it's booking.com 's responsibility the facilities are not reduced on the basis of "Loyal customer's" discounts. Next time I won't be tempted by the discounts .
