The house was amazing. Everything about it was amazing including the history of the house, the renovations on the house, the views from the property, the welcoming of the owners, and the activities in the area. We will definitely stay there again if we get a chance.

We had a lovely relaxing time. The peacefulness and even with the cold weather the property had a warm charm about it, then add the fire places, definitely worth the stay. The hosts are lovely to deal with. My friends and I needed this break away and we thank you.

When we arrived at the house we were surprised by how incredibly beautiful it is. Stone and polished wood give it a serene interior that is matched outside by it's beautiful views out over the lake. We slept so soundly even though it was blowing a gale due to the wonderful old stone walls.

Immediately felt like we were 'home' as soon as we arrived. A beautiful space to spend a rainy weekend enjoying good food, nature and time away with friends :)

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Lakes House. The house was spacious, well equipped and homely. There was so much to do: caves, hills, lakes, exploring, beach, walks and stars. We hope to come back again one day.

Our family stayed 2 nights but I wish we had longer! Such a beautiful property in a magical location. So peaceful and full of native wildlife and raw nature. We’ll definitely be back!

We loved our stay at the Lakes House - three generations of family ranging from 7yo to 74yo enjoyed the views, the board games, the morning visits from the roos (complete with joey in pouch), and the afternoon strolls up to find the donkey or visit the nearby caves. Everything we thought we would need was provided to make the stay super comfortable and effortless, and it was a breath of fresh air to have no mobile signal and no wifi! I’ve been visiting Cape Bridgewater for years now, but had never stayed at the Lakes before - we’ll definitely be back in the future! Thanks so much to Lisa, Viona and Hayne for making it such a welcoming and relaxing place to unwind.

Sublime. Just sublime.

The striking thing about this property is the views of the lakes. The location and proximity to great walks and coastline is fantastic. If you're a birdwatcher, photographer &/or walker, this is the place for you. We spent alot of time watching the water and sky change with the hours. An extraoridnary sight. Great that there's a washer and dryer. This was a bonus. Not sure how it would be in winter if you weren't a fan of lighting a fire.

The Lakehouse is a beautiful, historic house in an idyllic and very peaceful setting. It has a well equipped and spacious kitchen and large comfortable sunroom with stunning views over Bridgewater Lake. The house is very clean, comfortable and unfussy. A great sanctuary to escape the overstimulated modern lifestyle most of us lead!

Stunning . In all ways . Beautifully appointed, wonderful fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, lovely spaces to relax in - and then, the views . Wow. Incredible . Can’t wait to return. Complete rejuvenation. We loved it so much .

Our family had a lovely weekend, relaxing, walking and boating.

Thoughtfully renovated settlers house suitable for couple(s) or family. House is set on ex farm land with resident kangaroos and animals and without a neighbour in site. The house and property overlooks Bridgewater lakes and the caves just over the road. Swimming spot down at the lake for freshwater swimming. Overall very peaceful and a place to get away for everything. Thanks Viona and Hayne.

We loved the house and its history. Playing board games in the addition with the floor to ceiling windows while the sun was setting over the lake and kangaroos were grazing right in front of the house was cozy and peaceful. So many amazing walks and landscapes are just a stone throw away and we were particularly impressed with the blowholes which we visited on a windy day. The owners stopped by for a quick chat, which was nice and told us more about the house and the area. Highly recommend staying there for a very relaxing break from the city.

Very much enjoyed our second stay at the lakes house. Lovely hosts, gorgeous house and a beautiful peaceful spot.

The property is located in a very secluded area with an amazing outlook. You do not need to go anywhere if you do not want to. If you do want to venture out, lots of walks around. The property has all the essential ammenities and is very comfortable.

We loved the tranquility and tech detox. Felt like we were in another world all together.
