Check in in was so simple and quick and it was no time before we were in and getting settled. The house was comfortable and was soon warm. We enjoyed the closeness to Portland and most importantly the beach right outside our windows. It was wintery weather but this didn't matter. We had a lovely holiday enjoying our time in this comfortable house.

What a fabulous huge house and right opposite the awesome beach. We had a terrific 2 days. Extremely comfortable beds, good shower, it was just great. Sad we missed the echidna in the back garden, Neville sent me a photo after we left. We would definitely love to stay to there again.

Great situation next to beautiful beach and Great Western walking track. House spacious, well equipped and warm. Decor dated but everything works- although the shower needs some attention. Good heating with additional wood fire heater- small amount of wood provided. All in all very comfortable, with the location being the main draw card.

Wonderful winter getaway
Thank you to Neville and Julie for letting us stay at their wonderful holiday house. The location could not be beaten and the house was clean, cozy and spacious. My family and I had a marvellous time exploring Cape Bridgewater and its surroundings over the week with the kids even befriending an inquisitive juvenille seal. We definitely hope to return in the future.

Lovely property opposite the beach
We enjoyed our stay here. It could have received 5 star if the bedrooms had heating - we were quite cold at night. Also no internet.

Stunning beachside location
We really enjoyed our stay at Cape Bridgewater, the location and views from the house are stunning right opposite the beach and close to the start of the walk to the seal colony which is a beautiful walk with great views along the way. Our stay was very comfortable, and restful, loved the large lounge room with fireplace The house was very well stocked and had everything we needed and more. It's a 15min drive from Portland which suited us perfectly and was not too far to go into town the look around. The check-in process was easy and Neville provided us with all the information we needed. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Simply outstanding
We loved the beachfront location - it was outstanding to look out at the Cape while sitting in front of the fire after a morning winter swim. The house was clean, simple, well-stocked, and thoughtfully put together. We hung out with seals, saw whales and shore birds, and rambled along the beach for hours with the kids. We will come again.

Neville’s place was as good as I remembered but unfortunately I had a slip on some water spilled in the kitchen and fractured my kneecap. This curtailed my enjoyment as an operation was necessary and most of my five days were spent in a splint on painkillers. Regardless of this the family enjoyed what they could and we are determined to return and make a better fist of it a bit later this summer. This property can’t be bettered as far as we are concerned. Close to the beach and very comfortable.

Well appointed well presented house in a beautiful area
The Stayz site was not easy to navigate in some aspects.
The house was warm, very clean and generously appointed. The proximity to the beach , walks and kiosk was perfect.
