The Bella Vista Ranch was our first stop on our round trip tour through Costa Rica.
We were warmly welcomed by Mark and Anabelle and were accommodated in a small pretty bungalow with a view of nature and the smoking volcano. Everything was very clean and without uninvited visitors. : ) On request, Mark organized a great rafting tour with Ticos River Adventure on the Pacuare River for us. Highly recommended if you like pure nature and adventure. The food was also very tasty and typical of the country. A place to feel good. Pura Vida! Thanks to Mark and Anabelle.

Mark and Anabelle are amazing hosts, they made us feel like family, and we did enjoy not only the beautiful place they have, but their company as well. The rancho is a hidden gem, a piece of heaven on earth, and they both are authentic people who love what they do. Thanks very much for an unforgettable experience! Big hug to both!

Fantastic hosts so friendly, the views were incredible and the dinner which was additional was delicious. Breakfast was very good. Such lovely people and company. They made it easy to park below in their car park and they brought our cases and us up by 4x4.

We really enjoyed our stay with Mark and Annabelle who were so friendly and welcoming. The view from the ranch is absolutely sensational, and there are plenty of feathered visitors to watch while you enjoy your delicious breakfasts and homecooked dinners. Our cabin was comfy and we slept well.
We struggled to find vegetarian options for dinner in the local town of Turrialba, however Mark and Annabelle cooked us some fantastic meals so you needn't worry about eating well!

Mark and Annabelle are the excellent Host. They had a good knowledge of the area and also the country. being vegetarian and my husband being allergic to Garlic, they went out of their way to look after us. many thanks.

All Costa Rican are nice, but Mark & Annabelle will be the sweetest you'll meet! They are very helpful and cooked a lovely meal for us. Combine that with the beautiful view and you have a perfect stay.
Too bad we only stayed for one night!

Amazing and friendly hosts.
The location is great, set in a hill towards the volcano.
The cabins are simple, but designed for comfort and a very special view when waking up.
Dinner and breakfast were typical for Costa Rica and get a 10/10

Mark and Annabelle were such lovely and nice hosts. They cooked very tasty dinner and breakfast for us and we’re great company. The room and view were amazing and everything was nice and clean.

Marc and Annabella were amazing. we were the only people around and they offered an upgrade. they prepared excellent food in the evening and the morning. the house was excellent, with brilliant views (due to the bad weather the first day, we did not have a clue). a fantastic experience!

We had the best stay in Costa Rica staying with Mark & Annabelle. They were the best hosts, arranging for us to go on a rafting tour and on a chocolate tour at a nearby chocolate farm. The breakfast was delicious (best bread we've had in Costa Rica) and they also offer other meals for a small price, which was delicious. The service is sublime, including the possibility to get laundry done. The dogs are friendly, the views are fantastic and the birds are plentiful.
Bella Vista Ranch is an amazing place to spend time while in Costa Rica.

- The views are breathtaking
- Very comfortable bungalow, very cosy, spacious and clean.
- The pool to cool off while enjoying an incredible view of the whole valley.
- The little attentions like freshly cut flowers in a vase when we arrived.

The hosts, Mark and Annabelle, were fantastic. They were very kind and served a delicious dinner when we arrived. The property has an amazing view of the valley/volcanos and is quiet at night.

Fantastic stay with Mark, Annabelle and Maria, thank you for making us feel like home! It felt like we were visiting family. The accommodation is beautiful, located on their own mountain with an incredible view. We hope to be back soon!

The view of the volcano was wonderful, the meals were authentic, but most importantly, the staff (aka owners) were the most hospitable people a guest could hope for. They assisted in arranging transportation and our recreational activities, neither of which disappointed. The location is very secluded, intimate, and relaxed. Exactly what we were hoping for!
There is little to complain about, but we are easy people. I could see people being upset about no in-room wi-fi, but that is part of the appeal. You can truly disconnect. Note: There is wi-fi available at the lodge.

Mark and Anabelle are great hosts and helped me organize awesome activities and arranged transfer for me as I was travelling without a car :) they cooked good food and on request it was totally possible to also make it vegan which is great!

The location is quite remote (which is amazing!) but which also makes it difficult to get to some locations if you don't come with an own car.

Mark and Annbella were fabulous hosts. The setting is gorgeous with an incredible vista from the lodge and the cabins. Wifi is available at the lodge which helped with making ongoing plans. Mark kindly suggested a navigation APP that worked better offline to get from place to place. Gorgeous flowers and plenty of bird sightings! Toucans galore!

Not a problem for us, but anyone without four wheel drive would find the driveway climb problematic.

The kindest, thoughtful, most welcoming owners made our stay most enjoyable. The volcano view is gorgeous, the continental breakfast and homemade corn tortillas to accommodate a gluten free diet was delicious. Dinner was the absolute best!
Whatever we needed, they were more than happy to assist us. Our favorite place to stay while in Cost Rica!

A short stay cannot be better than what we experienced at Bella Vista Ranch. A wonderful view, very good comfort and amazing people. Cannot fo more than recommend it. And do not hesitate to go for a lemonade !
