Such an incredible location! Feet from a sandy beach, unheard of in down east Maine! Hearing waves break All night was wonderful. The little camp is well kept with everything you need! Peace and quiet!

This little Sweet Pea cottage is a gem along Maine's Bold Coast. The cottage is meticulously maintained with all attention to detail, coziness, and cleanliness. The owners are attentive, available and just kind folks who love the coast. The very best times we had at Sweet Pea were watching the ebb and flow of the tides and the fog, seeing the fog lift to provide wicked sunshine, and searching for sea glass on Sandy Beach. Our time at Sweet Pea was just as the pictures present and even better. We loved exploring the surrounding townships of Jonesport and talking with the people who live and love everything Maine. Thank you and we'd love to be quests again.

We enjoyed our stay, it is a nice place right on the water. Only thing that I was not 100% satisfied with was the checkout time. I think 9am is a little early for a checkout time.

Only feet from a quiet Sandy beach, this cottage is a wonderful peaceful refuge where you can slow down and relax. Dawn and Mark are friendly and responsive hosts who think of everything. This was our second visit and we’ll be back!

This cottage was absolutely adorable, it had everything we needed. The view was perfect sitting in the living room with the ocean at our front door. We will definitely be back again.

Rustic cottage on a sandy beach well away from the tourist attractions. Perfect location to sit back and enjoy the beautiful Maine coast. Hosts are incredibly welcoming and have put much love into this quaint little cottage. Perfect place to relax and getaway from it all.

Sweet Pea Cottage is tastefully, art-inspired decorated on beautiful Sandy River Beach. It is perfect for two people, a quiet getaway. The owners are very accomodating, nice people,wanting guests to be comfortable.

The Sweetest Cottage in Maine
We continue to return to this gem of a property located on a sandy beach with amazing views of the ocean and a few islands. As you cross the short path to the sea you will see wild sweet pea flowers among the sea grass. As you walk along the beach from end to end you will see nature at it’s best and a few friendly faces too!

Glorious ocean view
Location is amazing- 180 degree views of the ocean with spectacular sunrises. Dawn has put in a million little touches- power strips in the bedroom, more than one dish towel, the only place we've stayed where there was actually a sharp knife- all the little things that make life easier. House is right on the beach, which made beach walks so easy. Loved our time here.

Maine beach shanty
We had a lovely time in this amazing spot! We loved exploring Maine (we hiked in Acadia and other spots of the Bold Coast) and then coming back to the little shanty to soak up the beach, which was quiet and gorgeous. It is a very rural area, which we loved, good for those who want to be closer to nature than lots of action and people. The shanty has a few quirks that come with an older place, but the spot it is in more than makes up for them. Hosts were easy to reach and helpful.

Just an Awesome place and location
This was my 3rd stay in the Sweet Pea. Cabin is terrific and location and the view is just outstanding!! Had a wonderful and peaceful week. I will not hesitate to continue to stay here in the years to come.

Simple classic beach cottage. 25' from house to sandy beach in "down East" Maine. Many choices for fresh seafood. Many shore and woods walks nearby. Mark and Dawn are kind and thoughtful people who share this special place, Thanks!

Picture perfect ocean cottage
This cottage is picture perfect well equipped and delightfully decorated located just steps away from a beautiful private sandy beach where you can sit and watch the local lobster boats fish during the day or enjoy a bonfire on the beach at night this is a very special place. Before our 1st day was over we had booked for next year.words cannot express or describe what a special place this is.

A lovely week at Sweat Pea
My wife and I loved our stay at Sweat Pea. A perfect location with views of Roque Island. Crashing waves lulled us to sleep. We were able to Jew eagles majestically soaring the sky and perched on the pine trees on gull island Communication with our Dawn was excellent.

A most gentile and peaceful place
This is my 2nd summer staying in Sweet Pea. For me it is a little gem. Nice cabin right on the ocean called Sandy River Beach. Very clean, comfortable place to unwind. Has the most special sunrises. Gazing at the stars at night is mesmerizing for someone who lives in the big city. Close to a lot to explore in the Down East portion of Maine. Truly a special place. Jim Paulson

Everything was as we expected. It's a beautiful spot and it's a cozy vacation home. You're literally right on the beach! Awesome experience and Mark and Dawn are super friendly people that helped with every question we had. Great stay
