We got this place with two other families with kids, 6 adults and 5 kids. We enjoyed the beautiful deck and view of the mountains. This place was great!

This was the perfect place for our family reunion. The space is nothing but luxury. We stayed in the summer, and although it was extremely hot (mid to high 30’s in Golden), we stayed comfortable, even though the house is not air conditioned. We made use of the hot tub, pool table, foosball table, sound system and the fancy coffee machine. All of these things worked flawlessly and were in good condition. We ate around the big table and gathered both inside and outside on the big deck. Very private. Highly recommended.

Overall, the house was great! We had 13 of us to celebrate my and my husband’s wedding. It fit everyone nicely and was very spacious. We were able to cook most of our meals which we loved and enjoy our time away in the mountains. We were there in the summer and was a warm 32 degrees and I did not realize the home doesn’t have AC. I understand you usually would not need it so I didn’t notice the listing didn’t say no AC. It was nice the home had many many fans to help though! Lastly, we were relying on the home stereo and unfortunately with the slow WiFi and the app required to use, it didn’t work for us. Either way we would book again if we were in the area!

The property was great. Kitchen was stocked, plenty of space, great overall experience. Manager was very accommodating.
King beds are two twins pushed together - not a huge deal but wasn't as comfortable.

Property is large and rooms as described. The cabin is older than advertised and we did notice some concerns. Stove top did not work properly, but we managed to use the bbq. Some minor fixes with a screwdriver would fix 90% of the issues we found. Besides obvious wear, had a great stay and would recommend to larger groups.

Another great stay with Kicking Horse Vacation Rentals. The Himalaya was perfect for our group of 16. Access to the cross country ski trails and the upper parking lot of the resort was a breeze. The kids really liked being able to sled in the yard outside. House was appointed with everything we needed and was as advertised. Looking forward to staying with Gabriel and the team again soon!

This rental sleeps a lot of people, and the cleanliness, beds and amenities are all great! What is not clear from the pictures is that this house appears to be a conversion from a duplex. As such, there is not really any place for a larger group to hang out together, the upstairs TV/video area is blocked from view from the couch due to the bar height, there is only one small sofa in the basement rec area, etc. The dining table area is great however. Some of the amenities could use some TLC/replacement (Fooseball, Pool Table, kitchen utensils - not a big deal. Overall a nice place to stay, and sleep a lot of people in comfort. .

this property was perfect for our group. ski in ski out. bedroom for all. we do a lot of cooking kitchen was very well appointed with plenty of space. we all loved skiing right to the back door at days end enter the combo, and into the ski room with ski hangers coat hangers,the boot and glove dryer is one like i have never seen 12 pair of boots and gloves. slip into your bathing suit and into the hot tub. haven't even gone upstairs yet. simply awesome. Chewbaka tours will absolutely be back. thanks again Gabriel

Gabriel's place looks great on photos, but it looks even better in person! We were there in Aug 2023 and had a great experience overall.
The place was large enough to host the 18 (10 adults and 8 kids) of us comfortably.
Entertainment options in the home was great and it was awesome that there was a printer too which helped us in taking print outs of the Canada Parks pass!
Communication with the host was seamless! Would definitely recommend this place as a wonderful option to stay!

This is a wonderful property from which to explore Golden, Lake Louise and Banff. Our large family loved the multitude of sleeping and entertainment areas. It provided us the perfect launching pad to engage in amazing outdoor adventures and return to a comfortable home and enjoy our loved ones. We will definitely return!

House was huge! Beds and bathrooms were plentiful. Kitchen layout was perfect! Bar area was accommodating. Downstairs recreation room was excellent perk as well as hot tub, and ski room with boot/glove dryers. Multiple wash/dryers made for no hassle laundry for large group. The house was well equipped with bodywash products, toilet paper, paper towels, basic kitchen supplies including spices, coffee, etc.

Fantastic place!
The home included heated flooring, speakers embedded into the roof, convenient light switch and cabinet labels, comfortable mattresses, coffee makers, a pasta maker, and movies. Everything you could need and more!

The only thing I found not great was garbage disposal. Check out list said you can leave your garbage in the garage but when you go down to the garage there’s a sign that said to keep from extra charges to take garbage to the garbage shack which wasn’t overly clear on exact location.

The house was in a quiet neighborhood and had a nice layout for spending time together, but also having privacy. The big parks (Banff, Glacier) were an easy 45-60 minute ride away.

Family Ski holiday
House was fabulous for our group, ages 1-68. Great location, ample space for our, large family. Adults could socialize downstairs with while children slept upstairs and on the lower level. Family room accommodated our large group, kitchen allowed for multi cooks and food prep. Pool table and foosball table were GREAT for the older children. We hope to return next year.
