Listed as a 2 bathroom but was a 1 bathroom with an outdoor shower. Also the outdoors needed to be cleaned up - it was over grown and weedy. The inside of the place and the neighborhood was nice.

Pleasant home. Great amenities. Would stay there again.

Everything went very well and the location is perfect!

This was a perfect spot for 2 couples visiting the island. We came to play golf at Farm neck. The house was convenient to Oak bluffs and the Golf course.

The property had everything we needed and was very clean. Jan was very responsive and great to deal with. We discovered some great hiking trails close by too. We hope to retrun.

The house was a great landing spot for a weekend when we didn't plan on spending too much time in our rental. The location is super central and convenient to everything and the host was super responsive during our entire stay. Our primary complaint is that the bathroom of the unit was run down and in need of necessary updates and replacements, as was some of the furniture throughout. The unit also lacked towels and pillows.

This apartment is gorgeous. The open plan, living, dining room, and kitchen are lined with sun-drenched windows. The place is incredibly comfortable. The kitchen and bathroom are fully outfitted with great attention to detail - you will need nothing. There are two bedrooms, with one queen sized bed in each. The mattresses are firm (I loved it but if you don't like firm be aware of it!). The sofa is big enough to accommodate a sleeper also if needed. The heating system worked well, took us a few minutes to figure it out. It is a little confusing that there is a gorgeous wood stove in the living room but you cannot use it - we didn't need it for heat though. We were there in November, so we did not use the deck or outside. It looked nice though with a grill available for your use. The location is just off the town border with Vineyard Haven/Tisbury, in an unpaved development so it is not really, walkable for getting into town etc. having a car available is needed if you plan on touring a lot. There is a driveway for you to park in. This is not a rental for having parties etc. - it is a quiet neighborhood with your landlord living below you - so set your expectations. It exceeded ours and we hope to return again soon.

Nice central location on quiet street surrounded by similar homes 5 min from Vineyard Haven ferry. Very comfy beds and everything you need to enjoy your stay.

We decided late in the high season to book a trip in state. We found Jan's place to be the perfect retreat for our getaway. We brought a family of 5 for our first Martha's Vineyard vacation, and had the best time. The rental was well equipped and clean. Jan was very accomodating. We had everything we needed, and it was an excellent location in our opinion. It was a short drive to Edgartown and a stone's throw from Vineyard Haven center. Thank you, Jan!

Long weekend for two of us celebration our wedding anniversary. Property was well appointed and incredibly well maintained. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had lovely vacation. Jan home is comfortable and clean. We would definitely recommend this location.

The house is as pictured in the photos, the bedrooms were nice and the kitchen and washer/dryer were great amenities to have for our stay. There is a separate driveway in case you rent a car or get picked up. Jan was pleasant; he did contact me thinking he heard shoes on the floors (he is downstairs) although no shoes were worn inside, per the instruction/rules paperwork he provided. Some of the windows do not have handles on them; open windows with the air on is a concern listed on the instructions sheet. The rooms do not have over head lights but the outside shower is nice. Overall, we enjoyed ourselves and the outside deck is lovely and secluded. We came for the film festival.

Loved this location. Close to Oak Bluffs and tourist spots but such a peaceful and quiet area. Nicely appointed and very comfy.

I had mixed feelings about this property. The owner was very easy to work with and helpful. The inside of the home was very clean and adequately furnished. However, if you are looking for a charming Martha's Vineyard home, this is probably not the home for you. It is very ordinary as far as the home and furnishings are concerned, and is in a neighborhood with other homes close by. While it is an easy drive to Edgartown and other towns, it is a suburban neighborhood. I was very disappointed with the upkeep of the deck and yard. It was not a place we wanted to hang out at, except to sleep.

House is beautiful, comfortable, in a great wooded setting. Very convenient, central location on the island. Jan is a great host, very accommodating, friendly, and helpful.

We really enjoyed our stay. Jan the owner was so nice and welcoming. The home had everything we needed, was very clean and has an open floor.plan. We also enjoyed having the deck to sit on in the evenings. Perfect location wonderful home. Highly recommend it!

We loved the property. It was spotlessly clean. It’s better equipped than most rentals with all dishes, pots and pans and appliances you’d ever need. Jan, the host, is warm, welcoming and accommodating. Even though it has an Oaks Bluff address it’s only 1 1/2 Miles from Vineyard Haven on the bike path. Highly recommend!

My family and I spent the long weekend on the vineyard so we could attend a friend's wedding. We stayed in this lovely bungalow home which was extremely close to Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown. This home provided us with everything we required to enjoy our stay - quiet & private, spacious interior, and 2 bedrooms. Hopefully someday we'll be able to do this again.

It was a true pleasure staying at Jan’s apartment. Perfect for four of us. Very clean!

We love the Vineyard and have stayed at many locations. This house is situated well to get teens and younger ones to their favorite spots, while proving a nice quiet setting to come home to. Great for 4, but six people could use an extra bathroom. The outdoor shower was a great help, and dining both inside and on the huge deck was wonderful!

Has everything you need and it's in a quiet area which is a great after a busy day in the Vineyard . The deck is very relaxing .

I first want to state I love Martha's Vineyard and have been going there all my life. The owner Jan with held alot of information prior to arriving, for example he practices a business out of his home below the spot we rented. Throughout the day numerous "patients" would arrive and Jan basically yelled at me about our kids being to loud on there summer vacation. Which instantly we felt like we had to walk on egg shells every time we were home. Which was not how we wanted to enjoy our very hard earned vacation. Jan also charged me an extra cash fee before walking through the door for our dog. Which is fair but what was unfair is the fact he with held our entire security deposit after we left. Once I got the email stating we wouldn't be receiving the deposit back I called Jan right away in which he has yet to return any phone calls. It was like pulling teeth trying to get a hold of him since he would only respond via email and when he did respond he would not answer my questions. He never gave me any type of legitment receipt for with holding my large security deposit. I truthfully think he is taking advantage of my girlfriend and I for our additional money. That's why I do not recommend renting from Jan. And Jan if you are reading this you still owe me a phone call and a legitimate receipt or my money! I will never let this go, I also am going to continue to pursue my deposit. This is also my first time ever writing a negative review on or about anything. That should speak volumes... Call me Jan.

What a sweet spot. Jan is a great host and I felt renewed after my 6 nights there. He has all the amenities you need and is close to town and the bike path. October is a wonderful time on the Vineyard, I was also lucky to have the most beautiful weather! Thank you Jan!

I booked this spacious ranch on The Vineyard to accommodate my needs for a weekend of wedding events (i.e. close enough to Vineyard Haven, Oak Bluffs and Edgartown), and it was PERFECT. Bright and sunny, well appointed, although we didn't spend a great deal of time in the cottage, it was perfect for our need to relax after daily events. I only wish I had the time to add the owner's (Jan) therapeutic services. Now, THAT's a convenient option to have right on the premises! I would certainly book this cottage again.

We had a lovely time in this house. Fantastic location, sweet house. Jan was available and very attentive to our needs and questions. Jan was very helpful when we HAD TO STAY ONE MORE NIGHT! We would look forward to a return some day

We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location is very good and central to most places of interest. Jan was so nice to meet us upon arrival. The living room is spacious and so comfortable, especially for crawling baby. The kitchen had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this property.
