We stayed at the Aerie Sunrise house over the long weekend. The place is great, tons of space and light, and lots of character. 2 cozy bedrooms with comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and a spacious dining area. The gem of the house is a sunroom that is tastefully decorated and has a big round table by the glass wall. This is where we enjoyed the gorgeous views while having breakfast or dinner. Susan communicated with us all the way,and her guidance and instructions made for easy navigation to and from the house. It is a short walking distance to the village and there is enough space to park vehicles.

A great stay. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the quiet and having a fire in the evening. Would recommend.

We loved our stay at the Aerie Sunrise cottage, the sunroom was so cozy with the woodstove. The cottage is within walking distance to Grange so easy to get to restaurants and shops

We enjoyed our stay the Aerie Sunset House and our time on Salt Spring Island! The location was perfect, close to Ganges and central to all island locations for hiking, sight-seeing and meals out. Susan is an excellent host, very responsive and provided a wealth of information about the island. Nearby Beddis Beach was wonderful for sunrise and hiking in Ruckle Park along the coast was spectacular.

Aerie House was everything we hoped for and more. The host , Susan, does an excellent job of communicating, and there were many little thoughtful touches to welcome us. The location is perfect - peaceful, close to Ganges, and we were thrilled to have a local deer family of mother and two fawns as regular visitors to the yard, in addition to a multitude of birds. We also enjoyed exploring Salt Spring Island, and the bounty of the Farmers Market and all of the little farm stands that we encountered along the way. Great spot for a holiday, and we would definitely return!

This was my third stay at Aerie Sunrise and I look forward to returning! There are so many wonderful things to mention: the incredible artwork and distinctive furniture, the spacious and sunny living room areas, the patio from which to savor the natural beauty, and the generosity and kindness of the host, Susan. The location is convenient for doing things on the island, but one could just as easily stay in all day at Aerie and have a wonderful time as the atmosphere is calm, cozy, warm, and inspiring and supplied with everything you might need. Aerie Sunrise is a truly special and charming place to relax and feel restored - and to connect to nature and art. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to stay here. :-))

What a wonderful property and host. Every single detail was perfect. The house is a short walk down a beautiful trail to the town but far enough away to be quiet and serene to enjoy the wonderful view and avoid the crowds of a busy weekend. The space was perfect for two couples. From the welcome wine to the advance check-in instructions, to the well equipped kitchen, everything was spot on. We will be back.

Three longtime friends met in Canada for a week of fun and friendship at Salt Spring Island. The house was very clean and comfortable for the three of us. We saw just about everything on the island. Everything was close or an easy drive away. Fun shopping, great restaurants, lots of artist studios to visit. We really had a wonderful time and were very comfortable! Thanks Susan! We’d like to come back some time. Lovely home with beautiful view.

Beautiful and quiet residence, nicely appointed and cosy. Susan welcomed us and was very accommodating with all of our requests and made us feel at home. The location is extremely handy, 5 minute drive to Ganges and shopping. Highly recommended

I had a lovely winter stay (complete with snowstorm!) in the Aerie Sunrise House. It's a very quiet neighbourhood. Beautiful views from the living room out to the ocean, a nearby path (Ganges Trail) that takes you into downtown Ganges in minutes or to the wooded Mouat Park. The house is spacious and nicely appointed with vintage items and furniture and a great fireplace that made a winter stay very cozy. It's also ideally located for shopping the Salt Spring Saturday market, eating out (Moby's Pub was good), or browsing the shops downtown. The kitchen is well-supplied, the bedroom and living room very comfortable. I even played the piano! Susan was a very helpful and attentive host and her kind gift of wine and chocolates was very appreciated. Whether you want to relax or to explore all that Salt Spring Island has to offer, this house is ideal.

We had a relaxing stay at Susan’s property just outside of Ganges. The view from the balcony is spectacular. It is a lovely property and having a good sized kitchen meant we could buy local produce and cook up a few meals. There is a nice walk, just up the road from the property, that takes you down forested paths into Ganges. We had a few rainy days, so stayed in and took advantage of the board games.

The property was as advertised. Very comfortable and close to Ganges, the largest town on the island.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay...sitting on the deck looking at the harbor, watching the float planes take off, the deer browsing through the yard and the quail, all made for a restful, lovely stay. Susan went over and above to ensure that I had everything I needed and/or wanted. Thank you so much, Susan, for all the extras you did.

Susan's place is really clean and very well equipped kitchen. My family cook several meals while we stayed there. I particularly like the hummingbirds' constant visits outside of the kitchen window. The communication is really good. Susan always answered my question very fast and prepared the place as my request. Overall, my family had a good time at Susan's place. Thanks.

This was a very nice place with a great owner. The place was very well outfitted and was very organized. The neighborhood was very quiet and there was a nice view of the Ganges harbor. One morning, there was even four deer roaming through the back yard. All in all, I would recommend this house as a great place for a stay on Salt Spring Island.

We stayed at Susan's property for 5 nights. As this was our first time to Salt Spring Island we didn't know what to expect. Susan's place is an easy walk to Ganges, which is the main hub for activity on the island, but was enough removed so as not to be in the middle of busyness. From this location it is no more than 30 minutes (driving) to any activity on the island. The property itself was spacious and comfortable allowing us to really rest when we were at "home." We thoroughly enjoyed our time on Salt Spring!

Loved everything about our stay at Aerie House. The view from the deck is beautiful and the sun room is so warm and cheery. The location is perfect for getting around to see everything. I will definitely be recommending Aerie House to friends and would like to return myself next year.

Aerie Sunrise is a great place to stay. The house is full of artwork which gives it a homey touch. The kitchen is fully functional as is the outdoor grill. We cooked several meals at the house and enjoyed doing so. It is a large house complete with living room, dining room, den and deck. The view from the deck is spectacular and we ended up spending much of our time there. The deck faces east, so sunrise and coffee went together. Susan, the host, went out of her way to make sure that our visit was memorable. To start she left some coffee and a bottle of wine to welcome us. She was a wealth of knowledge about Ganges and the Island in general. If I was in the area I would stay there again. I’m definitely a satisfied customer.

Our family had a fabulously quiet stay at this lovely home. It was perfect to be so close to Ganges, but also a quiet refuge to return to at night.

My husband, daughter and I were delighted with our recent visit to the beautiful Sunrise Aerie Vacation rental! The views from the balcony overlooking the harbour were spectacular, morning and evening! The house was beautifully decorated with both antique and modern furnishings. Comfort and convenience for her guests were Susan’s goals. Every room achieved these, from the warmth and coziness of the sunroom, bedrooms, and living room with extra pillows and soft throws, to the wonderfully appointed kitchen, designed to suit every cooking style and need. Upon our arrival, our family members immediately gravitated to the well-stocked bookshelves, and soon found the perfect vacation read for each of us! The Aerie is so conveniently located for Island visitors. We walked down a nearby woodland trail into Ganges and enjoyed a morning at the fabulous Saltspring Island Saturday market, where we chatted with the artisans — and bought unique gifts for ourselves! We also spent another day hiking through Ruckle Park, and enjoying nearby Fulford Harbour. We thank Susan so much for her kind and thoughtful attention to every detail of our stay — from the bottle of wine that greeted our arrival to the fragrant bouquet of lilacs she gave us as we departed. It was lovely to meet her during our stay and be able to tell her in person just how much we loved our time at The Aerie. We will definitely be back!!

This VRBO is lovely and the views from the windows and deck are spacious. The island is welcoming and lush. We enjoyed vineyards, goat cheese, hard cider and a distillery. Hikes and walks are abundant. Totally recommend this place!

We had a wonderful time. The hostes was very friendly and accpmaditing. It is a spacious house but we spend it mostly in the cozy and charming sun room around the fireplace. It was difficult to leave. We will definitely come back. Thank you Sue..

We enjoyed our stay. The house was very spacious and comfortable. It has a very well equipped kitchen. It was nice to be close to the town of Ganges. Our host dropped by a fresh bouquet of flowers. She was gracious and most helpful.
