Well maintained and nicely updated vintage house easy walk to beach. Quiet indoors even though facing busy Ashley. Easy parking access from Cooper and mature trees shade the house most of the day. Small fenced yard for little kids - but don’t trust a curious 3 year old anyway. Never heard or saw a neighbor.

This property was outstanding. Perfect location on Folly Beach. Walking distance to downtown Folly and a block away from beach access. Management was so prompt with communication and went above expectations. If I could give 10 stars I would. We will be back!

Joe’s Folly has all the charm of a vintage beach cottage with all the modern updates you’ll need. Location is perfect for walking everywhere and communication was responsive and friendly! We highly recommend!

We were a group of 8, two families of 4, including a pair of 22 year olds and a pair of 19 year olds. Joes Folly was perfect! The house is furnished beautifully. We spent a lot of time on the porch. We appreciated the proximity to the beach, town and Bert’s. The second fridge came in handy. This property is #1 on our list for next year!

Great location. Short walk to the beach, Bert’s, and surrounding shops. Kitchen has everything you need. A fenced in front yard is perfect area for kids to play.

This was our second year staying at Joe’s Folly. We had a wonderful week. We had 5 adults and 2 children. The kitchen contains everything you need to cook in for the week. The house has 3 full bathrooms plus hot/cold water in the outdoor shower. There are also laundry facilities on the property. When we had a question the property manager was quick to respond. Everything was in good working condition. We had a wonderful week.

We were so happy with everything about this property. It was only a quick walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We LOVED the convenience to Berts too! We would most definitely stay here again :)

Lovely little beach home with a ton of character and easy access to beach and Folly "downtown" bars and restaurants. Nice for older folks with mobility issues since there are no interior stairs.

The house was exactly what was shown online, super cute home! The location was perfect, within walking distance to the beach, restaurants, stores, etc. Our family appreciated having three bathrooms and ceiling fans in every room. We would love to stay here again!

The house was spacious, clean, cool and conveniently located. It was well stocked with new appliances and very comfortable. The neighborhood was beach oriented, the city of Charleston overwhelmingly historical. Both best of America

The property had plenty of space for our family - 5 adults and 2 small children. Lots of off street parking. Comfortable beds. 3 full bathrooms. 2 refrigerators and on site laundry. We all enjoyed our vacation.

Property was very clean and everything was just as described. The beds were comfortable and it was great to have beach chairs, umbrella, cart, and beach towels provided!!!! Will be renting this property again!!!

Our family (two adults, two teens) had a wonderful week in Folly Beach at this beautiful home. Kind and accessible hosts clarified everything in advance and were quickly responsive to minor questions during our stay. Property is super clean and very well maintained. Joe's Folly is spacious and perfect for being "together" and still having some alone time. Climate control incredibly good with separate, quiet units and ceiling fans in every space (including the front porch). Kitchen had every utensil and pot you could need, although thankfully I did not have to cook, even once! Walk to literally everything, in 5-10 minutes. Never used the car except to go into Charleston, only 20 mins away. Thoughtful touches everywhere to make your stay pleasant - loads of hooks for towels and clothing, plenty of hangers, lots of towels, ample storage. They provide beach chairs and boogie boards and a cart to haul everything so that you don't need to pack your own. Outdoor shower fabulous after the beach. Master bed and linens REALLY comfortable. This was our first trip to Folly Beach, and we hope it will not be our last. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Joe's Folly.

My friends and I stayed at this beautiful house for a girls weekend and it was perfect. Such a cute house in the PERFECT spot. Convenient walk to the beach and the strip! Will return here when coming back to Folly!

This will be my go to spot with the in-laws. My only suggestion would be a water softener for the house...

We had a wonderful stay at this adorable house for spring break. Very close to beach and Folly’s downtown area. Perfect house for families with kids because there are 4 twin beds. We loved that everything was on one floor with only 3 steps to the house since our youngest son has muscular dystrophy and cannot climb steps easily. It is not fully wheelchair accessible but works well for people with limited mobility. The house had plenty of room for our family of 5 and we could have even brought my parents along. House was well stocked with kitchen essentials, beach chairs, toys, and beach towels and even a rolling cart to get everything to the beach. We appreciated the unique features of the house like the original hardwood floors, wooden beams, fireplace, and outdoor shower. We loved our stay here!

This place was prefect for our family of 3. The distance to town and the beach were absolutely perfect, we walked everywhere. The house itself is quaint and has character. Everything was clean and ideal

Girls weekend!

We had a great time at this property. We had 4 kids and 4 adults and we all slept comfortably. You can walk to everything, which was a huge plus for us. Would definitely recommend!

This super cute house is located 1 block from beach and 3 from restaurants. Plenty of space to spread out, but still feel like you are with your family. I hope we are able to return next summer!

The location close to the beach is perfect, maybe a block to the public beach access. We used our cart every day to set up our chairs and umbrellas. I had to negotiate the stairs to get over the dunes, but it wasn't too tough. Bert's Market is a block away. The house is more spacious than the photos show, especially in the common areas. One of the bedrooms, the queen is actually like it's own little suite with its own entrance into the common outdoor area in the courtyard in front of the house. We went during the COVID pandemic and this house is perfect for those wanting to go to the beach and just sequester away from others. We walked to the beach, easily able to socially distance. We ate all our meals at the house, which is set up for it. And we really had no occasion to come in close contact with anyone else. It was much needed after being in almost total isolation since March. I highly recommend this property. My wife and I loved it and would definitely going back. Our girls (19,17 and 13) and a couple of their friends loved it too.

My short stay at Joe’s Folly beach house was wonderful! The house is designed for lots of family interaction with a well stalked kitchen centered and overlooking living and dining areas. Bedrooms are located at both ends of the house giving lots of privacy for two couples with little children or maybe two couples. I also enjoyed siting outside in the cozy seating area on the porchIt. Location is perfect to all activities.. it is one street walk from the beach, a few streets a down from the center of town and all the action and a short walk to the local store for any groceries you may have forgotten. Communication with the house manger was very easy by email and text. Make sure to read Joe’s story of his dream house on the beach. All around, our experience was wonderful!!!

Cute cottage in a great location! Beds were very comfortable! Easy walking distance to beach and all our favorite spots in town. Fireplace is not functional, but not a big deal to us.

This was the PERFECT spot to stay for our trip to Folly. Very convenient and walkable to everything Folly has to offer as well as the beach. We had one small hiccup with the AC but the owners were easy to contact, they were also very nice and accommodating. It was very clean, not to mention adorable! I would recommend this house to anyone and definitely stay here again!

Our family loved Joe’s Folly! This is an older beach house with so much character. Bedrooms are located on both ends of the house, with an open gathering area in the middle. If more than one family is staying, there’s privacy to be had. Renting through VRBO was smooth. The house was very clean when we arrived, with a nicely stocked kitchen (plates, utensils, gadgets, skillets, etc) Nice gas stove. Each room had a mini split air conditioner which allowed for comfortable temps. Good quality, stain free bath towels. BEDS WERE AMAZINGLY COMFY! Extra blankets and beach towels stored in armoires. Extra beach gear on the porch. I washed our towels twice in the washer/dryer located in the building in back. There was a hose area, as well as a rod to hang wet items in the back also. Games/cards/ books stored on hand, as well as magazines and tourist info. I cannot say enough about the great location of this house. Quiet neighborhood. Short easy walk to the beach. Two blocks from the restaurants and shops. Bert’s market is a block away...go there! Hand dipped ice cream, along with anything else you forgot at Walmart. We rented bikes and rode to the end of the island to see Morris Island Lighthouse...do that if you can! We ate at the Crab Shack (loved!), LoLo’s (really good!), ordered pizza from Woodys(yum!), and went to Charleston to try Hymans (go there!). I would rent this again in a heartbeat. A lot of bang for your buck.
