Ideal for our daughter’s graduation weekend from URI. Conveniently located to many places.

Everything was wonderful. The weather could have cooperated a bit more! Remember it gets very windy by the water! Hoodies were a requirement, but that didn’t deter our enjoyment!

Beautiful clean cottage right on the beach which was the best part. The whole process was easy and Melanie is open and informative with the checkin and our process. A truly wonderful trip!

The property was small, but well kept and tidy. We met the owner in passing and he was super kind and welcoming. He communicated that the fire pit had broken prior to our arrival and he replaced it promptly. And the beach is literally steps away!!
The only downside is that my husband is 6’ 4” and bumped his head several times on the light and door frames. We were there less than 48 hours so it was doable, but he wouldn’t have lasted a week. I’m much shorter and had no issues.
Outside of the property… our guest rep sent a very inappropriate text that she explained away, but made me feel less than comfortable reaching out again. It was a small thing but soured the experience a bit.

Much needed last minute relax time, two nights in a cozy cottage steps from the beach. The cottage was a breath of fresh air. A light, airy, clean and had everything needed to enjoy a stay. Full kitchen and private outdoor grilling and dining area. The beach was very quiet and all to ourselves. We didn’t want to leave and cannot wait to return.

Stayed at this property for a getaway weekend and could not have had a better time! The cottage was clean and had everything we needed. Direct access to the beach and the surrounding area is beautiful with so many activities. I would definitely want to stay here again.

Wonderful stay at a great property. Location could not be better — walked to beaches, restaurants, coffee shop, surf shop. The house is very cute and has everything you need. Waking up to the sound of the ocean — what could be better? Property manager was very helpful and responsive to questions. 2nd time staying here; looking forward to coming back for a 3rd visit!

This was a lovely long weekend getaway to recharge and enjoy a birthday weekend at the beach. Property is adorable. It was clean, check in easy and location perfect. We met the owners and their dogs at the beach!

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our ladies weekend! The location is unbelievable. We enjoyed both coffee in the morning and a sunset cocktail on the beach. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We definitely look forward to coming back!

My wife and I were looking for a relaxing getaway after our daughter's wedding...this place was exactly what we were looing for! It was clean, comfortable and an easy walk to the beach.

We had great communication with the property manager with succinct check in details and responsiveness with a few initial concerns. the beach was a beautiful spot and we were close to Narragansett and its attractions. Unfortunately, we did leave this rental early due to our experience with the property itself. We found the couch to be tired and dirty. Ripped weather stripping on door allow bugs to come in. Dirty finger prints on high touch areas of doors. One A/C window unit for the cottage with black moldy material in the vents. Other concerns were minor but numerous. Lots of great potential for this location but fell short for us.

Summer getaway before college
Nice little cottage steps to private beach.
Well maintained cottage, easy to communicate with owners who were very helpful. Lots of towels, blankets and amply supplied kitchen. Manatuck is a great little town and there are restaurants, shops a coffee place and an ice cream shop all within walking distance from the cottage.
We had a very nice week with our daughters making memories.

Great location
Obviously a beautiful location in Matunuck. The house was smaller than anticipated but served us well. My only criticism is that the kitchen really isn't conducive to cooking - super small, no oven, and not very well-stocked. Everything else was great!

Perfect Getaway!
Staying at the Sandcastle was the perfect romantic getaway. Nothing but relaxation in a secluded area on the water; EXACTLY what we were hoping for. Can’t wait for our next trip back!

Fabulous!
Sand Castle was a wonderful little beach retreat. Everything was just perfect! The hosts are gracious, friendly and accommodating. Helped us navigate our stay with a tropical storm interruption! Highly recommend this lovely little cottage.

Sweet "Sand Castle"
Our second summer week at this amazing special cottage. This will be an annual visit for sure. Loved everything about the location and the owners are super nice and generous. Very comfortable. A small cottage with a big heart.

Quaint ocean cottage
This is my second time staying at the Sandcastle. The location just steps from the beach is wonderful, and the cottage is cute and provides everything you need for a lovely escape. The owners are very welcoming and the property manager is attentive to any need that may arise.

A cottage to relive memories
The property is beautifully located, cozy for four adults, equipped to fill all your needs. The property manager was very responsive when I called to tell her a recent wind storm wreak havoc on the yard furniture. Only thing disappointing was the beach of my youth was pretty much gone. But hey, what should I expect for 50 years of change.

Peaceful cottage
I visited Matunuck because I was recovering from a serious illness and surgery and needed some peace and quiet. I found it at this little cottage. Parking is a nightmare because the cottage is very near a huge bar with people going by night and day. But a privacy fence protects you from the crowds. Fortunately, the large house between the cottage and the ocean was empty or it would have been a different experience. My only requests would be some instructions for the TV (never did figure it out) and some coffee for at least the first day. I arrived far too tired to shop and a few essentials would have been nice.

Awesome
It was our first time using VRBO or a vacation rental like this. The process was easy. Melanie was amazing and answered all my texts immediately. The place was clean and every time we needed something and thought we would have to go to the store to buy it, we found what we needed already there. Nothing bad to say about any of it. Prayerfully, we will be back.
