This was a nice place while visiting the Kona side of the Big Island. The kitchen is well stocked if you want to cook in. New grills were being installed on the property while we were there. The best part is the balcony, the waves are right there. We ate breakfast every morning watching the surfers and every evening watching the sunset. The pool area looked nice even though we didn't use it. There is AC which is a must. Communication was very good. This isn't a fancy resort type of place but if you want a nice quiet place to stay this is it.

Our family of 4 had a lovely stay! And Mike was so easy to communicate with. This condo has just about anything you could need, from beach chairs to laundry detergent, and it was so fun waking up and watching the surfers from the lanai. Hope to be back in the future.

Loved the unit. It was clean and had everything you needed on your trip. Loved the games and puzzles for the kids to do at night. Lots of beach gear for those trips out boogie boarding, snorkeling, or just relaxing on the beach. Would certainly stay here again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Really love the beach here at this condo. The water is kind of tough which makes for good surfing which we loved to watch.

We just returned from enjoying 5 days at this beautiful condo. We were looking for comfortable accommodations that would feel like a home away from home. We did not want a sprawling resort where it would take 10 minutes to get to our room, offer no parking and fake views. We traveled to Kailua for the Ocean and Authentic nature. This condo did not disappoint. We enjoyed watching the surfers and whales from the balcony and loved falling asleep at night with the breeze and sounds of the ocean. Mike thought of everything to make his guests comfortable. There is a great selection of beach supplies so you don't need to bring anything and everything is in great condition. Most condos are almost empty but this one has what you might need so you aren't forced to make a trip to Walmart every day for little necessities, (shampoo, bandaids, sunscreen, coffee, spices, etc.). The building itself is a little old but the condo unit itself is wonderful. After staying here, no other condo could compare. We couldn't have been happier and will definitely book again the next time we travel to Kailua.

Although we were six women and completely filled the space, we were very comfortable. Beds were fine, kitchen well stocked. The oceanfront lanai was amazing. Mike is a conscientious owner, responding immediately to any questions or concerns we had.

Comfortable, well-appointed, comfortable, close to Kona and great beaches. Helpful information from hosts, functional kitchen with all the necessary supplies, enjoyed the constant sound of the ocean and lanai. Very responsive owner.

Spacious two bedroom condo with huge lanai. Well equipped and stocked. Plenty of power strip with USB charger which was very convenient. Ceiling fan switch of the 2nd bedroom near the entrance was broken or we could not find anywhere so we could not turn it off when checking out. Overall great stay. Mahalo!

What can I say, everything was amazing. Clean, well stocked, and of course the view. We have stayed at this property before, in a different unit. Unit 405 has set a new standard for us!!! We hope to be back again.

Lovely condo with amazing views off the lanai… the best place ever for morning coffee!! Everything went smoothly as Mike is a fantastic host. We look forward to staying there again!

After a bit of a rocky start with check in that Mike took care of, our brief time here was really nice. It's all about the waves crashing right below the unit, that's the draw. Unit is nice, bed really comfortable. No A/C and I admit I somehow missed that when I booked so a bit of a shock but in reality you don't need it here. The off shore breeze going through the huge screened lanai keeps things cool. It's really just when getting out of the shower I missed the A/C. I believe many of the condos in this area are without. I would totally stay here again! Fun watching the surfers right there at the unit. Super close to many restaurants and points of interest.

What a wonderful place to stay at. This isn’t like any other rental it feels like you are renting Mike’s personal residence with great decor, island recommendations and tips, along with some books about the island. The condo is well appointed, has comfortable beds along with a variety of items that you likely wouldn’t want to go buy for a short trip. Mike appropriately mentions there is no AC, which at first is a shock when you walk into the condo but after opening the sliding lanai doors, turning on fans, and opening the windows the breeze begins to help. Also love that the condo has a front screen door to allow extra airflow. The condo has a variety of beach toys which were great to use at the beach just down the street. Never used the kitchen but it had most anything you could need. Would definitely stay here again and enjoy the waves and sunsets from the lanai. Only issue we had during our trip was the elevator broke down one afternoon and was still getting serviced the following day, this is out of the host’s control. Would love to stay here again.

A stones throw from the ocean, awesome views of sunsets, surfers, turtles... you couldnt ask for more. The owners put careful thought into providing everything you would need, including things you didnt know you needed. Mike responded very quickly to any question we had. Having stayed at resorts for decades in HI, this condo was everything we were looking for and more. The kitchen and grills allowed us the option of making our own gourmet meals and happy hours, and if you add free parking, it blows away resort vacations. We will definitely be back!

This is an excellent rental choice. The unit is as good as advertised, and the view is even better. The check in process and communication was very efficient. A few others have mentioned this fact but it bears repeating that, like most condos in Hawaii, this unit does not have AC. While opening the sliding doors helps (and listening to the waves hit the shore), I did have some trouble sleeping at night because I was used to a cooler room temperature at home. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and highly recommend this rental home.

This condo is the best place I’ve stayed at in Hawaii! Very clean, comfortable beds, and well stocked with all the necessities. They went the extra mile to make the guests comfortable. The closeness of the property to the water can’t be beat and is exactly what I looked for when staying in Hawaii. We slept listening to the sound of waves and woke up watching the surfers and fishes on water. We also saw turtles feeding off the rocks on our first day! Overall this place is perfect! Plentiful parking space is a bonus! Will stay here again and recommend to friends!

My family and I enjoyed our 9 night stay. It was clean, comfortable and the view cant be beat! Mike (the host) called us shortly after arrival to check to make sure we had gotten checked in ok. Would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend!

This property is a true gem - well maintained and thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury. The entire home is well-equipped. It is obvious that the owners had put a lot of care into making sure guests felt right at home. Location is incredible.

Stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of our two week Hawaiian vacation. Could not get over the view of the sunsets and the sound of the ocean! Perfection!!! Would stay there again.

Loved this place. Right on the ocean, enjoyed dinner on the lanai every night to watch the sunset. Slept to the sound of the ocean waves, watched surfers. While no A/C was a little challenging for some of the hot days/evenings, the fans helped us sleep and it cooled off comfortably overnight. Instructions of the use of the facility was very clear and understandable. All the comforts and ease of home. I would highly recommend if staying in Kona.

You can’t beat the unobstructed ocean view! The property was very well stocked with beach and snorkeling gear, so nice to not have to worry about that! The house stayed cool with the doors open to catch the breeze. We really enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful location, beautiful inside, lanai was wonderful for watching the waves and seeing the sun set. Host was amazing. Would stay again.

This is a nice little spot with its own small beach and grassy area, not far from shopping and restaurants. This is NOT close to the resort area, though. It’s a completely different vibe, so be sure this is what you’re after. The apartment is fully stocked and cools off nicely (it’ll be hot when you walk in- just turn on fans, open the balcony door, and give it a minute). Heads up though- the door knob/lock is still broken (mentioned in a review from a few weeks ago) and it is an absolute beast to finagle. And the kids’ room is less than ideal. But for the money, you’re getting a great place.

The property was exactly as posted. The owner was easy to work with throughout the process. Covered parking included in the rental fee. Would love to stay there again!

Fantastic location, great condo, excellent communication. We’d definitely stay here again! Only recommendation would be to fix or replace the entry door handle, opening the door with the key was a challenge. Otherwise, just terrific!

Mike and his wife are great hosts. They were attentive and helpful with all our questions. You cannot be closer to the ocean unless you slept on a boat. The view is fantastic and the location is one of a well known surf area so you get to watch some great surfers. The condo is spotless and kitchen is very well stocked. We will stat here next time we are in Kona.....Excellent stay!!

We have stayed on this property before in other condos, but this one was the best! The kitchen had everything we needed, the bed was super comfortable along with the furniture and you can’t beat the view! Would definitely come back!
