We loved our stay! Perfect size for us and our two dogs (the all laminate floors were easy to keep clean). House was immaculate and well stocked. We used the BBQ and the back patio every day (appreciated the "dog station" with potty bags, balls and other toys). Nice quiet street with couples and families walking their dogs to the trail at the top of the street. Did not hear/see the neighbor on the other side of the unit. Mornings were cool, and it warmed up in the afternoon, however we were able to cool the place nicely with the ceiling fans. One improvement: a true metal screen door that closes shut - the current wood door and soft screen hooks from inside and did not always stay closed. Looking forward to booking again!

Thus home was perfect for my family of 4. Lots of ammenities including beach gear. The kitchen had new appliances and everything was clean and tidy. I would highly recommend tgis location!

This was a great property. The back patio space was lovely! Everything was very clean, and the owner was very easy to communicate with throughout the process. The house is located less than a mile from the San Deigo Botanical Gardens which was amazing!

The home looks newly remodeled and it is clean and beautiful! There are orange trees in the backyard that smell heavenly too. It is also close to a walking path for my dog. A++

The beds are comfy and the kitchen is well appointed. Too bad the bathroom has no shampoo, body wash, etc. Also the loud bathroom fan is linked to the light which makes a lot of noise in the house when it runs. The house had many cobwebs, dust, spiders, and some popcorn left on the kitchen floor so attention to cleaning wasn’t made for our stay.

This cozy cottage was perfect for our stay in Encinitas. It is conveniently located to all the best shopping and restaurants and blocks away from a walking trail to take your furry family members. Our two dogs loved their daily walks.

Property was clean and cozy. Beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of clean bathroom and beach towels. We much enjoyed our stay. Couple of items need to be addressed: Although the inventory stated 4 beach chairs, there were only 3 and one was broken beyond repair. Kitchen frying pans need to be replaced. The burners on the BBQ are completely rusted over. This BBQ needs to be replaced.

We arrived to find the cleaning lady having just started cleaning, after we had arranged the arrival time with the owner well in advance. Apparently she had never bothered to communicate this to the cleaning lady, so we had to conduct a 4-way powwow with the cleaning lady, owner, and her daughter, then wait around for 3 hours after a cross country trip while the unit was cleaned. Cleanliness was okay but the corners and behind furnishings were quite dingy. We chalked it up to the cleaning lady being rushed by our unexpected arrival. The beach gear was great (but some of it is in need of replacement). One of the smoke/carbon monoxide detectors was missing and we had to replace the batteries in another one for it to function properly. In addition, the situation in the converted garage is not really explained well in the listing. Because the water heater is also in the garage, you have to keep the back door open at all times to vent potential carbon monoxide buildup. This seems like a otential safety hazard and should be disclosed in the listing. Kitchenware could use improvement. There was only one sautee pan and it was missing a handle. The owner hit us with an extra cleaning charge after we left with a note "extra cleaning time and dog feces in the backyard". The extra cleaning time was understandable as we were there for 4 weeks, but we didn't end up bringing our dogs so if there was dog feces in the backyard, it wasn't from us. In addition, the cleaning lady sent us a nasty-toned text message after we departed complaining about the extra time it took to clean. This is in spite of the fact that we did everything required in the checkout manual and then some. Plus, we left some extra money for her in recognition of the extra time it would take to clean the unit after our long stay. Owner didn't even try to discuss it with us or get our side of the situation before hitting us with the extra charge, which just capped off the trend of poor communication. All in all, an okay place, but owner needs to tighten up the operation to bring it up a notch.

Well equipped with beach stuff and children/baby stuff. We had a little problem checking in but we take some responsibility for that because we didn’t try and get the code until we got in town. Thank you for making or stay in San Diego enjoyable!

This house has all the amenities you would need for an entire family and is super dog friendly which made it feel like A perfect home away from home for a few days. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances and cookware for you to be able to make any meals on the property. The outside shed has a washer dryer and all the beach equipment you would need. Our family and dog took full advantage of the outdoor shower to rinse off after beach days. The house is located close by to trails that are convenient for a family with dogs to spend some time on the trail. We loved this location so much we have booked our next stay here again! Look forward to coming back

The family friendly amenities were great! Toys and books and balls, plus a pack n play and a high chair all made life super easy. Plus laundry and beach toys! This definitely cut down on packing. Make sure you receive the check in instructions before arriving. I did not. But the property manager was quick to respond. And bring your own coffee!

The property was very clean and pleasant to stay in. Location wise, it was perfect for both trips to the Zoo/Safari park as well as to stay local and head down to the beach.
