Hospitality, kindness of the owners, how clean it was. Dinner and breakfast are amazing! If you want to try some delicious and unique vegetarian food, make sure you try their dinner. There is also a nice common room where you can hang out after a day out.

The hotel was very clean, location perfect (in the middle of the woods, remote from the touristic area and very quiet), and the owners (a family) were so nice and gentle! They even took care of my child while I was busy (played together). Breakfast also was excellent (vegan in top of this)! Highly recommending

This is a quiet and elegant hotel, It has a unique Japanese style, and the boss is kind and friendly. If time permits, a good soak in the bath can make the tiredness of the day disappear. Quite close to the lake, you can quickly see the beautiful and dreamy Mount Fuji. Looking forward to visiting again~

They were lovely hosts. They helped with transportation from the bus stop and to the lakeside. Prepared nice vegetarian food. I enjoyed my time very much, and especially the visit up to the panoramic viewpoint before they dropped me at the station to return to tokyo.

Be aware that this is a very basic/simple hotel. The hosts are outstanding as is the atmosphere. We had some of the best food of our Japan vacation here.

I had a very lovely stay at Vegetarian House Jamoo. It was a little difficult to find, but when I called them they came to help me. The room was small but pleasant. The owners are very kind and helpful, made me feel at home immidiately. The dinner and breakfast they make is absolutely delicious. Also the environment is great with a beautiful lake.

Everything was nice. Pity there was so much rain that Mt Fuji was hidden in clouds.

Very well welcomed, we felt to be treated as friends by a kindly family ! Property is spacious, clean and calm. Vegetarian meals are wonderful.

Beautiful property with excellent hospitality. The owners made every effort to accommodate us and they spoke good English. The food was exceptional (it's difficult to find veggie/vegan food in Japan!) and the room was exactly what we wanted. They even gave us a lift down to our bus stop when we left. The facilities were great - a large private Japanese style bathroom and a comfortable living area with free drinks. The property is set back from the lake so if you don't have a car/have difficulty walking then that might be something to consider. We didn't drive and very much enjoyed the 15-minute walk from the lake (It's only a 20-minute walk from the hotel to the perfect spot to photograph Mt. Fuji at sunrise!). We also took a taxi one evening when it was raining. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!
