This condo was perfect for our family of 4! Clean and well equipped. We loved watching the surfers and falling to sleep to the sound of the waves.

The location and access to the beach was great for my surfing son. The ocean view and sunsets are amazing. Easy parking and great place to stay.

The condo is on the beach but furniture is dated, condo was not clean when we got there and when we left uncleaned we were billed again. Beach very dangerous so you will have to go somewhere els if you want to swim

View was great, balcony was awesome, location is perfect. But the condo was DIRTY, incredibly dirty. It was gross. Dead bugs and a ton of dirt inside the lamps where you have to reach in to turn them on. Didn't want to step on the floor in bare feet, it was so dirty. But the carpet in the bedroom was no better, it needed to be replaced years ago. Knives all dull, toaster only half worked, no hot water at master bath sink, every surface not dirty was covered with tchotchkes EVERYWHERE. We had to collect all the plastic plants (non ever dusted) in one place, just so we'd have somewhere to place our stuff on surfaces. No vacuum, just an electric broom (which answers a lot). Down bed pillows were bricks, just awful and gross. Opened drawers and cabinets and just junk (or litter) would be in it. Light switches that didn't power on anything, overhead fans (kitchen, balcony) and lights (bar lights) that didn't work. One balcony screen door locked, but the other didn't (wasn't even keyed for a lock). Owners seem nice via email and text, but wow... I would never, ever stay there again and would be embarrassed for anyone else to stay there. It was just pitiful. I managed apts for decades. I would have been fired for leaving a unit-for-rent in that poor of a condition. It needs not just a deep, deep clean but better performance of people regularly cleaning it. This Vrbo is why people are turning to using hotels again.

My favorite thing about Bali Kai is that the stuff I go to Hawaii for is available in the back yard!

Overall a great trip. A perfect location with a wonderful view; literally right on the water! The pool was nice and parking was easy and abundant. The second bedroom faces the street and the noise can be very loud. The carpets were old and the age definitely showed. While the master bedroom bed was comfortable, I think perhaps the cleaners could have done a slightly better job.

What an amazing location, we were regularly entertained by the local surfers whilst sitting out on the balcony. The trip of a lifetime made all the better with a beautiful apartment.

Very nice property in a perfect location. Would be good to refurbish a little bit within next year's, but all in all there is everything you need available, also beach equipment.

It was our first trip to Hawaii…and to Kona. What a fabulous place! There’s so much to see and do but all we really wanted to do was to sit on the lanai and enjoy the waves…especially at night! So relaxed and meditative. Everything we could have possibly needed in our day to day living was provided in the condo. I’d stay there over and over and over again.

Great stay! The balcony view of the ocean, rocks, and surfers right below is spectacular! I could have stayed out there all day and all night just taking in the scenery and sounds of the waves. The free trolley stop is right outside the building and we highly recommend using it, but be prepared for it to be running late pretty much all the time. Everything was wonderful except ants in the kitchen and the place could use some updates, but the view and location is worth it! No other complaints.

Perfect location centralized between the beaches and the nightlife on Ali’i street.

The view was unmatched. Falling asleep to the crashing waves and waking up to watch the surfers while drinking coffee on the lanai couldn’t be beat.

The condo is has a beautiful view and a comfortable outdoor space. The tide pools are so fun to explore. Watching the surfers was entertaining. And the sea turtles were always near by. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We loved our stay at Kona Bali Kai. Kathy’s place was very well furnished and included all of the items needed to spend a day at the beach. The view from the lanai was unbeatable.

This is a great place to stay if you enjoy being as close as you can get to the waves and surfers. They don't bother you. You just get an amazing view from your lanai or grass below. The condo has most everything you will need to cook and rest comfortably. Master bed is kingsize and in good shape. The owners and manager were cooperative. We were there a month so got our Hawaii fix for years to come.

The ocean views were spectacular and the sunsets were awesome. The unit was dirty when we arrived. The floors, linens kitchen drawers and counter tops needed to be cleaned before we could unpack. Housekeeping needs attention.

We had a fabulous family reunion stay with our adult kids! Beautiful property, close to local beaches, restaurants and Kona town. The oceanfront view from the lani was like no other we have ever experienced! The kitchen was well stocked and suited our needs as we cooked from home a lot. We thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing week and hope to return soon!!

Everything was great with the rental! The location was phenomenal. Watching the surfers from the lanai at sunrise and sunset was great fun.

This was a great condo on the big island of Hawaii. Great view from both bedroom and living room. We could leave the sliding glass doors open and the screen shut and listen to the waves right outside our lanai. It was heavenly. If we make it back to Hawaii from the East Coast, we would definitely stay here again.

It was our family of 5, 3 young adult children, my spouse and myself. It was the perfect spot as our homebase for our day trips. We loved being able to watch surfers, relax on our beach area when we wanted to not go around town. It was a great location for day trips around the island, and relaxing to hear the surf at night. Would definitely come back.

What an amazing place to stay. The location was exactly far enough from the tourist areas to be quiet but close enough when you want good food and shopping. Great host and fun to work with. We will be staying here again soon!

The ocean is just below the balcony. Loved watching the surfers and sleeping soundly to the sound of the waves. Perfect location. Not far to down town but far enough for quiet. We were four adults. Condo is really nice and as described. Perfect for us. Owner was easy to work with and responded quickly. We hope to come back again!

Amazing views from the private lanai. Sunsets every night were stunning. The condo was so well appointed,, well stocked, and all the extras to make the vacation wonderful. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed this location and condo! Amazing view of the ocean and sunsets. We were lll fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the ocean. The place was clean and comfortable. Perfect for our family of 4. It had everything we needed and then some. Location was perfect for all our trips. Kathy & Bruce included a welcome book. In the welcome book are plenty of recommendations from food to excursions, etc. would def recommend

We were very happy with this property. You can't beat the location. You are close to town, wake up every morning to watch the surfers right off the liani and end each evening doing the same. Although the place is a little old, all of it charm wins you over quickly. We enjoyed listening to the waves right outside the sliders. Almost anything you would need is provided from a well stocked kitchen, to beach supplies and fans. The owners of the property were kind and very quick to respond to our questions. An extensive binder was provided at the property to help us make decisions on where and what to do from restaurant choices to beaches go excursion. We would not hesitate to rent this property again!

We had such a wonderful stay! Thank you! The lanai, the location, the amenities, the overall process was perfect! During our week long stay - we were able to drive all around the island and each location was just a little over an hour away from the place! Best part was the view from the lanai - which was soo relaxing. Would love to def stay here again when we come to the big island again! Mahalo !
