Loved our stay, rented property three times this summer. Had a great time every time. The beach and lake where beautiful. My family had a great summer spending time on Lake Michigan. I would definitely rent this property again. See you next year.

Nice and clean property!! It had everything we need for my husband and i, and my two adult kids. We loved the location and although there was a factory next door, we were not bothered by it. The best part was having the beach so close. We enjoyed the private beach, and the walk was not bad at all! We washed dishes manually , on our last day we couldn't find dishwasher soap so we only loaded the dish washer as we run out of time. The laundry room was very convenient. The property is so close to my mother in law , so this will be our spot for future visits!! Highly recommend it!

We had a great long weekend with our adult children! Location to St. Joe's was great and we enjoyed our beach day.

Cute little house, We enjoy our stay there it was small but you have everything and space for everybody , it was clean and the owner was really responsible . thank you again we we have a lot of fun this Labor Day weekend.

Everything was perfect except the “private beach” they advertise. Yes there is access, but it is not an easy walk down to this beach…then you have to be able to get from the path/steps to the actual beach. We did not attempt to go any closer than the path. There is also a small factory next to the house, but they are fairly quiet and close around 4pm daily.

We had a great 5 night stay. We have a 7 year old, 4 year old and 1 year old, and we all slept comfortably. There was plenty of room for us to set up a pack n play for the baby either in our bedroom or the living room. It was super clean, well stocked with essential household items (appreciated), and was super easy booking/check in/check out-wise. We frequented the beach within walking distance (it was a haul up steps coming back as mentioned), many many local beaches within 5-10 minutes, playgrounds, family friendly dining nearby, and even were able to have the kids play safely in the little yard. The washer and dryer were also appreciated! I’ll note it also had a tub for baby bathing. Overall— it made for the perfect little family stay.

We loved the screened in porch. The proximity to the beach was very nice. The beds could be more comfortable. There is a business next door that starts early. Phone calls can wake you.

We loved the property. We were apprehensive about biz next door but it wasn't loud. More plantings to screen the factory would help. Location was convenient to getting to St. Joe and beaches like Jean Klock Park. We used the private beach for quick dips.

Reading some of the reviews prior to going, we were worried about the noise from the business next door, and the dog across the street, however neither were a bother.

Would recommend this cute vacation home! In the perfect location to visit at Joe’s and South Haven. We loved both places! We didn’t walk to the private beach but we drove about 2 minutes down the road to Hagar Park and it was a very nice beach with less people and you can take your dogs. Very clean home! We definitely missed our king size bed at home though. Kids slept great. We hooked with the DVD player and watched movies at nap and bed time that we brought from home. Great stay!

We had a wonderful time in this quaint immaculate cottage. The backyard was nestled in the woods and felt very private. The screened in front porch was a bonus. The king bed was very comfortable, but the twin was a little hard. The only minus side was the beach access. All in all a perfect place. Would give it 5 Stars !!

It was a charming 2 bedroom home with a basement, central heat & air, new windows and recently painted. Decent locks as well. The mattresses on the twin beds should be upgraded as soon as able. Overall great!

Great vacation house! Everything was clean and well stocked. Walking distance to a small, private beach. Loved the screened in porch. Spent lots of early morning hours out there! Close drive to some great wineries, Silver Beach, and some small local attractions. We didn’t have any issues with the small factory next door. Will rent again if we are back in the area!!

Great location with central access to St. Joes, South Haven and many beaches. Nice cozy newly remodeled home with all the necessities. Perfect house for Mom, Dad and 2 kids. Beautiful tree lined street for walking, we had a relaxing time here, 5 stars

John's house is top notch!! Everything was nice and the neighborhood was quiet. It was close to everything too. We even had the chance to meet John. It was a great experience.

This cottage was spotless, well-appointed, and cozy. Really, in any other location, it would be perfect. Unfortunately, located just off a busy, high-speed road, traffic barrels down the street in front of the house making it dangerous to walk with kids and anything but relaxing. The manufacturing facility next door starts work early and is very noisy (loudest phone on the planet). The insanely loud phone woke us up every morning EARLY. Not ideal on vacation. The beach is lovely and pretty secluded. The downside is the walk to/from the beach is treacherous. Anyone with even minor mobility issues would have a tough time on the path. Again, the house is great and the owners went out of their way to make it wonderful. They even left us s’mores ingredients! So cute! It’s just too bad the house isn’t in a different location.

Overall we enjoyed our time in this cabin. Close to St. Joseph and the beach access was nice to have. That was actually our favorite part of the entire trip. John was fantastic to deal with. When we arrived we found that we were short one set of bath towels and he sent someone over right away to drop off what we needed. Also, and maybe more impressive than that, one of our party left behind a pair of running shoes. I emailed John and informed him of the situation and he immediately located and shipped the shoes back to me. Very good job with customer service. We only had two minor complaints. First, there is a small fabrication shop or some other light industrial facility right next door. It wasn't too bad, but it was a bit noisy when we were trying to enjoy our morning coffee on the beautiful screened in porch. It wasn't an issue in the evenings. Also, while we loved having access to the lake and beach, the stairs were a bit challenging (I think I counted 84 of them!). If not for these two relatively minor things it would easily be a 5 star rental. Thanks John!

Walking in it's clear this place has had a major overhaul recently. Like many rentals it has adequate, if somewhat sparse furnishings. The master bed matress was fine, the twins were not great, but our kids didn't complain. The walk to the beach was a bit treacherous, but it is very pretty and not crowded. Location was very convenient without being on the main drag directly.
