This home is as described to a “t”, and trust me when I say the pictures do not do the views justice. Comfortable beds, beautiful decor, a great sound system, and a chefs kitchen. We escaped for a change of scenery, and man did this house deliver. The teens spent time hovering around the Xbox, and the adults took in the gorgeous views and ocean breezes. Plenty of room to separate, or to be together. Sean was an excellent host, and was available for any questions. Every amenity you could need was supplied. My favorite spot was enjoying my morning coffee, watching the sunrise over the Nubble lighthouse from the toasty (fireplace) open concept main living area. Plenty of great spots to eat and gorgeous beaches to enjoy....and those quintessential Maine coastline views on the Marginal Way. We watched lobsterman check traps right off the rocks in the front yard. Sean has a wonderful location and home, with easy trips to Kittery, Portsmouth, or Ogunquit. Can’t wait to plan our next visit.

We had such a great time at this property!! It was so close to the Nubble Lighthouse and right on the water, exactly as the pictures showed. Actually very entertaining to just watch the sea!! We were a group of friends looking to escape for a days and this house was perfect. It’s got different sections so one can be alone if they want or join the group. We also loved the two living room set up, the guys watched their football in one while us ladies watched movies in the other. Fantastic sound system throughout the house and stocked full with anything you might need. Best home rental experience we’ve ever had!! Definitely going back!!

We stayed at this property as an adult family over Christmas and it lived up to all our expectations, and more. The location is spectacular, on the ocean, with a view of Nubble Lighthouse. The house offers lots of space and all conveniences. Our two dogs stayed with us too and it was perfect for them as well. The property owner could not be more responsive and accommodating. We can't wait to go back!

WOW is the first thing that comes to mind when you set foot inside the main living area of this beautiful home - you're immediately greeted by a impeccably clean, warm, and inviting space and jaw dropping panoramic views of the ocean crashing against the rocks and the Nubble Lighthouse. We had every combination of weather during our stay (rain, wind, snow, fog, and sunshine) and the view stunned regardless. We booked a last minute trip to Maine with our puppy after a particularly stressful time at work, hoping for a retreat that would allow us to relax, cook together, and give us more time outdoors. We got all of that and more. This is the most well-stocked rental I have ever stayed in - you will have every amenity, kitchen gadget, and bit of entertainment (surround sound system, board games, 3D TV, etc.) at your disposal and have the best time even if you don't venture far from the property. Sean clearly cares a great deal about ensuring you have a wonderful stay and was extremely responsive to all of my emails. It felt more like we were staying in an actual home than an after thought rental property. All of us dreaded leaving (especially the pup!) and knew we would have to come back again and bring our families! Do not second guess this - I can't imagine how anyone would regret staying here or not come away feeling like it was well-worth the price!

The location alone of this home alone made it wonderful. The ocean is all around you and there are amazing views in every direction. The house was bright and clean and had everything you could possibly need. Lots of room to spread out and the second floor family room was a great space for the older kids to escape to. Lots of high end kitchen appliances but spent too much time sitting in front of the ocean to try them all. Sean the owner was so helpful and responsive to every little question we had. We are already trying to figure out when we can go back!

The ocean views were spectacular and Sean’s beautiful home exceeded all our expectations. It was spacious and had everything you might need. We brought more than we needed to. If I had a question, Sean was easily reached by text. York has some very nice beaches just a few minutes away. We were there almost every day. My son-law fished (successfully) off the rocky coast while we watched from the deck. I golfed just a few miles down the road at the beautiful Cape Neddick golf coarse. Everyone had a great time.

Beautiful house in a stunning location. Feels like a home and not just a beach rental. Perfect spot for Thanksgiving family reunion capped off by the lighting of Christmas lights on Nubble Lighthouse. Sean is a charming and gracious host even though he is hundreds of miles away!

A beautiful spot for our family to gather this fall. The home has everything needed for a fun filled vacation. We enjoyed our mini vacation very much.

Between the direct view of the ocean with its smells and sounds and the view of Nubble lighthouse you will never want to leave the house. Anything you could ever want is right there for you. The kitchen is very well equipped. There are plenty of outdoor chairs. Sean is very responsive and genuinely wants to make sure his guests have a great experience. We’ve already booked our stay for next year.

We cannot express how wonderful our vacation was with Sean and the property. The views were amazing as was the house. There was not one thing we needed during our week. We look forward to returning!! Thank you!!

If you want a beautiful property with views of the lighthouse and the ocean this is the place. The house has EVERYTHING you will ever need! We were pleasantly surprised when the power went out one night that it also had a complete home generator!! Perfect place for a family vacation. The house is set up that everyone has their own separate space! PERFECT!

We've been staying here for years and it never disappoints. Beautiful views, great house for kids and adults alike. Large yard with plenty of space. Very private. Looking forward to next year already!

Yes, the views of the lighthouse and the ocean are truly stunning. But the owners' attention to details made our week especially enjoyable. I can't imagine using all the high-end kitchen equipment in a month, much less a week (we used the Weber gas grill three nights). We only had five people in the house, so we couldn't make full use of all the comfortable spaces available for talk, fun and relaxation. The "family room" has it's own TV, exercise equipment, refrigerators and coffee maker. We preferred to hang out (often playing cards) in the large living room/dining room/kitchen area that has a panoramic view of the rocky coast from Maine to New Hampshire. Outside, we enjoyed examining the life in the tide pools that form in the rocks right outside the house. I can't fit into this review everything we enjoyed about our visit (e.g. Adorondack chairs in the sun on the lawn, walks to the village, Dunn's ice cream), but when Sean called to welcome us, he asked if there was anything we needed. He meant it, but we couldn't think of a thing.

Cross one off of my bucket list. They thought we were nuts for going to Maine in the winter. AND they were WRONG. Of course the place to spend the vacation is Nubble House with the never ending, sometimes hourly, changing scene. Sean arranged it all. A snow storm with blowing and drifting snow, a howling rain storm with the surf pounding the rocks below. And clear almost balmy days with temperatures in the low 50s. And you get to watch it all from the near 360 degree view and comfort of the sitting room while cozying up to the fire in the gas fireplace. We had friends from Portland. Oregon visiting us, one of whom is a professional photographer. Both were much impressed, even beyond their high expectations. I much enjoyed going to sleep with the lighthouse and it’s comforting blinking red light in the background and waking to some glorious sunrises. This is our second trip to Nubble House, the other being late last spring. We really did not want to leave, either time. We are now making arrangements for nex winter and spring Sean is an excellent host and will try to accommodate any reasonable request. The house, which I consider a 5 story split level, has great views from all of the bedrooms, the kitchen, the sitting room and the dining room. We prefer the top floor bedroom. It’s a few more steps but well worth it. There is a bathroom per floor, so there is no waiting. York Beach and environs are primarily summer vacation spots. But we had no problem finding open, good quality restaurants and no crowds. And there is still lots to do, including the short walk to the lighthouse and feed the gull. A walk along the cliffs on the Marginal Way near Ogunquit is always entertaining as you watch the surfers (in January?). LLBean, Portland, Kittery, and Portsmouth are short drives away. Nubble House is a truly great place to stay.

A wonderful location w stunning views of the bay and Nubble Lighthouse. Gr at location close to entertainment, dining and shopping. We’ve rented for 7 consecutive years and will be there next year also!

My family and I have been staying at this beautiful home for the last five or six summers and never been disappointed. The location is ideal close to beaches, shops and restaurants and of course the Nubble lighthouse plus a lengthy coastline on the property right on the water. The home itself has ample room, a handsome kitchen and all the amenities one might hope to engage in for activities inside and out. The homeowners keep the place up nicely with always an improvement or two each year. A place to look forward to for many years to come.

We had six guests, and there are ample places for both group activities and solitude. We enjoyed lobster at the great dining room table where we could watch the tide come and go and view Nubble lighthouse. Some of us spent hours exploring the rocks and the tidal pools, watched by the others sunning themselves on the Adorondack chairs on the lawn. We all relaxed and socialized in the open living room and fully-equipped kitchen (would you believe a sous-vide and a panini grill?), and watched tv and played games in the family room. A week went by too quickly. We can’t wait for the next one.

The property is wonderful. The host’s assistance adds another great dimension. Ask Mike anything and he will provide great insight. There is no bad weather in Maine if you like coastal Maine. Sunny, cloudy, stormy, cold, hot -there is always something to do or see even if it’s doing nothing but just listening to the surf pound the rocks. Mike has the best stocked larder of any place we’ve been. The house has an interesting layout so that if you want to escape from each other for a bit, there’s lots of room for that. In season, Fox’s Lobster House and Dunnes Ice Cream are an easy walk. Ask Mike about ice cream flavors. I almost think he’s tried them all. Restaurants near and far-Mike has great recommendations. We will be back. Mike-keep a light(house) on for us.
