Safe an awesome neighborhood. Big space to accommodate a large party and a perfect location for OCMD. However, we discovered major plumbing issues throughout the house. Our toilet clogged multiple times and our shower clogged as well. The first day we arrived the toilet overflowed and flooded down to the kitchen space through the high hat lights... Help was quick to arrive and super friendly, yet we still had plumbing issues the entire stay. Multiple things broken upon arrival and you will definitely need to supply your own bathroom soap, toilet paper, paper towels and hand towels. We were not even able to find a broom at the property.

The property was beautiful. The house was clean. The only difference from the listing was the house did not have the futon as shown. I did email prior to our stay to ask if the futon folded down and was told yes. So not sure if something happened with it prior to our stay. There was an air mattress left to use instead, so everything was taken care of. For us this was no issue. The check in process was easy, check out was even easier. Everyone working for the community was friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here again!

Pros: This home was perfect for a big group. I cannot say enough good things about the property it is in - pool/bar(6 passes included), private beach, bayside seating, cafe on premises, and overall had a very upscale southern resort feel. The screened porch was a great touch for hanging out with the family. Great distance to/from all restaurants and attractions. You will feel very safe! Cons: During our stay we had to call maintenance multiple times due to missing smoke alarms, light bulbs, and a broken shower head. The futon was also missing. However, the office and maintenance crew were very efficient and came right away to provide us with an air mattress and other essentials. They should also issue more than 6 pool passes, since this home can accommodate up to 12 people (extra passes cost $70 per person).

We went down for a bachelorette weekend, and when we all walked in we was amazed! Everything was gorgeous, and clean! The pictures don’t do justice! The neighborhood was super nice and quiet. All around amazing, will be renting again!

We had a great time. Place was excellent and convenient to everything. Although weather did not cooperate we still enjoyed our time.

It was nice but Maintenance needs to be kept up on the place. Vents need to be cleaned and the shower door needs to be replaced on the top floor.

I wish i could buy a home here. The house was amazing for our large family and i felt safe being there. It feels like you are in your own small town.

I have nothing but positive comments to say about our experience at this rental. It was clean and big enough for our 11 family members. Everything was in working condition. We want to come back next year.

The rental experience at this location could have been better. First, the house accommodates up to 12 people. However, we were only given 6 pool passes for a party of 10! Additional pool passes were $70 per person!! Second, we had to either rent a sheet/towel package for about $140+ or bring our own. I feel as though sheets and towels should have been inclusive. The property itself along with the physical location was nice.

The condo was beautiful. Very roomy and clean. We didn’t realize it was four levels before we got there. That made it all the better, though. The garage door busted our first day and we were told our car was going to be towed if we parked anywhere else. We couldn’t believe that it took a day for someone to get us a temporary parking pass. That was a crazy first night. Thankfully the door was fixed the next day and we didn’t have to worry about being towed. Not enough light bulbs, some blinkers and some not working at all.. These are minor issues. I would recommend this property and we would definitely consider staying again.

I would do it again and already looking into next year

This was the first time I've ever rented a property and I was a little curious. Everythg was just as it was listed and the process was easy upon arrival. Neighborhood is great! The only criticism was TV'in 2 of the queen bedrooms never worked.

The property was great. A lot of space. I would rent the property again.

The house was a nice size and accommodated the number of people staying there. Having numerous bathrooms was nice too! I liked the development and the grounds are beautiful!! Easy walk to the bus stop! My complaint, it was not as clean as I thought it would be. I stayed on the very top floor and the bathroom sink had makeup powder in it, the carpet in the bedroom definitely was not vacuumed and the blanket had black fuzzy/curly hair all over it. I did not use that blanket during my stay. Had I found a vacuum in the house I would of vacuumed my bedroom! The middle floor with the 3 bedrooms was not bad, however, the bath tub had black hair all in the tub. The rest of the house was fine. It’s a nice house, but disappointed in the cleanliness of it.

We had a great stay here. The townhome was really nice. It is 4 total floors with the first level being half garage (a large garage). It is in a resort community which is nice in a lot of ways, but there are a lot of rules with it. The pools aren’t open as long as in a condo building. But the outdoor pool is huge and nice with a zero entry for kids. Although no pool toys even a beach ball are allowed in it. There’s a restaurant and pool deck food and drink service which is super cool. But it’s only open Thursday to Sunday and the service was slow and one day they just decided to close early. The house itself was really nice. The beds were nice. Clean. Pretty quiet though we were there during off season. The only complaint is there is a condo building behind it and the lights stay on 24/7 and the blinds aren’t great on the back bedrooms so they never got dark. Luckily our kids slept okay anyway. The management company was easy to work with, though you had to go through an 800 number and sometimes for an operator. 3-4 blocks to the beach. So easy access. I recommend.

This is our 7th year vacationing at Sunset Island; we have rented everything from condo to the large single 5 bedroom homes. This townhouse served our family’s needs perfectly. The only negative thing I have to say is the house was advertised as having a den with a futon and it ended up having just couch which kind of made things difficult but we adjusted.The management company offered to rent us a cot but it was still one single for a couple. We just moved the the top bunk bed mattress that wasn’t being used to the den and one person slept on the mattress and one on the couch. Other than that, the place was very clean and well equipped. We would definitely rent this unit again.

Clean, Beautiful, Tons of space, Nice decor. 3 balconies & a front porch. Great location. Lots of steps, which does not bother me but may bother others. It was off season so many things closed in area but townhouse within walking distance of many things. One Huge set back-booked & paid thru home away but was then charged another $55 at Sunset Island to use facilities, which we did not use at all because most things were closed. Home away needs to make customers aware before booking. I had a budget to stay within so this was an issue to have another cost

The house wasn't cleaned upon arrival. We had to wait the next day for it to be re-cleaned and the cleaning company failed to show until late afternoon as opposed to the 1130am promise. We were trying to stay out of the house for them, but they showed right as we were returning from the beach, after a second phone call asking where they were. Overall it was a nice place, but not necessarily compared to other properties in the same location. With that said, I appreciated not having a lot of nicer things due to having kids staying with us. The beds were pretty bad. The full bed in the bunk room was impossible to sleep on with springs popping on your back. The pillows were terrible. If those two things were replaced, we would consider renting again. Sunset Island is really nice, but the cost of the xtra pool passes is pretty outrageous. You only get six passes for a 12 person house. The rest would cost $70/each. We were also a bit shocked that there was a $110 charge for the first six passes/parking passes upon arrival. I feel that should have been included in the upfront cost, or at least warned about BEFORE booking.

It was awesome but we wold of like it if we wer told that none of the beads had sheets we wold of bought our own.other then that we love it and are looking to do it again!!!!

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was clean, spacious, and the community is well kept. We would definitely stay again since we do the Island to Island 5k run every year.

The house was perfect for our family gathering with plenty of space. Just a short walk to the beach and shops. Just be aware that the resort has many rules and extra fees on top of your rental payment. They allow only 6 pool passes so if you have more than 6 people in your party you will be charged for the additional people to use the pool for the week. Plumbing in the house wasn't great. All drains were partially clogged and some toilets were difficult to flush.

House overall was a great size for us (4 adults/3 kids) & loved the decor. A lot of stairs! You can tell it has been lived in & stove/oven were dirty, but overall clean & comfortable. We very much enjoyed our stay!

The house was very nice and in a great location. The community offers 2 nice pools, walking paths, fountain for the kids to play in, and easy access to the beach (two blocks).

Would not recommend this condo in general. It is very beat up. Broken towel bars, goop melted to the windows, stains and splatter of some kind on the walls, floor look like they have never been cleaned, toilets are marked as if they are cleaned but are clearly dirty. We also had a group of 12 stay in this condo and only received 6 passes to the pool. If you needed extra passes it would have been $70 more per person. Some of the guards at the gate need to retire and are not friendly at all. Beautiful complex but have rented condos cheaper and nicer for less. Would not recommend
