Fantasic location in the main resturant area of Faro. As it's not a big city walking distance to old town and local attractions is very easy. Good size room with seperate kitchen. Bathroom was also good with a large walkin in shower.

Shower was a little tempermental when one of the other rooms was running water at the same time. but no big issue.

Mooie ruime kamer, heel fijne douche. Locatie midden in centrum, op loopafstand van bus-en treinstation.

The floor was very creaky in spots. Had to kill a cockroach in the bathroom, but fortunately I'm not afraid of them.

The property is beautiful. The hosts are friendly and helpful. Our room had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Kitchenette with kettle tea and coffee, fridge, microwave, pots and crockery. En-suite with good quality towels. The whole place is spotless. We couldn’t ask for more. The front entrance of the Guesthouse is straight onto a pedestrian street where you can find numerous cafes and restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Thank you Kristin and Richard for being great hosts.

There was quite a bit of street noise well into the early hours of our 3 night stay. We always have our earplugs to hand but Katrin has supplies in the drawer if you have trouble sleeping. Everything is catered for.

Everything! The rooms were very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owners were very attentive and provided information on the area, restaurants and activities. The location was great as it was close to the marina and old city and walkable to all shops and restaurants. It also was very quiet at night.

This place was just like the pictures. Charming and clean. A perfect location to walk everywhere. Close to the train station and great cafes and restaurants right under your window. Great little balcony to people watch and enjoy a drink in the evening or coffee in the morning. The windows were sound proof and we didn't hear a thing at night. We saw the hostess each morning and she was very friendly and helpful. Great communication about how to find the place and lots of information about Faro. We would have stayed longer if we could have.

Casa Saudade was an absolutey fantastic place to stay in Faro. The owner, Kirstin, was such a kind, welcoming and informative host. We had an apartment (Amalfi) with a balcony which looked out onto the street below, which was great to sit on and enjoy a drink whilst people watching. This is one of the most lively streets in Faro with plenty of great bars and restaurants all on your doorstep. Although the street is busy, the fantastic double glazing shut out the noise ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The apartmemt was beautifully decorated and has everything you will need during your stay. Kirstin is a fabulous person who was extremely helpful during our stay. We would highly recommend Casa Saudade and will definitely stay there again when we return to Faro.

Hopplöst att ta sig dit med bilen, vi hade mycket bagage.

Nothing matters when you or your family don't sleep all night and your child is afraid.

The owner/manager of the rooms knew we had a 2 and a half year child with us and that we were leaving the next morning at 7.30 AM for a flight. She made a decision to put us in the noisiest room available and put the cot for the child right beside the window . All we could hear from 22.30 to about 2.30 AM was very loud dance music from the bars close by. After 2.30 there were people shouting in the streets for another hour and a half. We couldn't get to sleep after 4am as our child was upset and we were up at 6am to make breakfast and get ready for the taxi. Our child was afraid of the noise and none of us slept all night. To top it all off I had spent two weeks on holiday carefully and successfully managing diabetes and after a night of zero sleep it went out of control. It was a completely inconsiderate decision by the owner/manager to put us in that room knowing we were a young family and getting up so early. We are all exhausted now and feel ill . This was one of my worst ever experiences from travelling a lot over 20 years. There were 2 sets of ear plugs left in the room but they were not enough to block out the noise. I had communications from the owner on WhatsApp well over a month before our stay. She knew our situation and should have warned us about noise before we paid or at least not put us in the noisiest room. The advertisement detail on booking.com should be updated to warm about the noise levels. On a side note the room had a mould issue a couple of months ago due to broken air con which looked it had been superficially cleaned. This is not what any family wants to breathing in at night. NO FAMILY SHOULD STAY HERE. NOBODY GETTING UP FOR AN EARLY FLIGHT SHOULD STAY HERE. NOBODY WHO VALUES THEIR SLEEP SHOULD STAY HERE. Otherwise it's a great spot if you want to party all night on the streets and fall in at 3 or 4am. Other option is to invest money in making the place soundproof.

Localização

Zeer mooi en ruim appartement midden in het centrum van Faro. Verscholen boven de cafés en restaurants van de gezelligste straat in de stad. In het appartement merk je hier niet veel van.

Door de locatie (voetgangersgebied) is parkeren in de buurt bijna onmogelijk. Al enige ervaring te hebben met rijden in hectische steden met smalle straatjes, staat het gebied rondom het appartement helaas toch echt in mijn op 3. Als kers op de taart, eindelijk een parkeerplaats gevonden te hebben 300m verderop, moet men in het appartement eerst nog een steile trap op. Gelukkig hoeft dit met koffers alleen maar bij in- en uitchecken en is het allemaal waard geweest.

Clean, well appointed, good info to hand and Kristen is lovely and helpful. Property is well maintained and has everything you’ll need.

Music at nearby bars went on until 4am and was very noisy. We had an early start and long drive the next day and hasn’t realised how noisy it would be.

Kristin was a great host! She really took care of us from the first moment. We highly appreciated that we could check in sooner. The room was spacious, clean and coffee and tea was available. The accommodation is in the centre so everything is walking distance. Highly recommended!

Situation

Steep steps but that is the entirety justified result of location kin picturesque old part of town.

Excellent location lovely owner couldn't be more helpful. Would recommend ideal base in centre of resort easy walk to marina and Old Town. Bars and restaurants outside door. Despite location extremely quiet with windows closed at night

Only issue for us stairs .Only thing annoying was the noise from floor creaking when walking at night to toilet etc .But not an easy fix or easily remedied. Didn't spoil the stay though just a little niggle

Check in info was very clear and worked well. The location is fabulous, exciting. The building is lovely and the room beautiful. The beds were very comfy. All was clean.

The air con was loud, on off blowy noises all night.
