You need a rental car if you want to access the Old City of Carcassonne and, in general, to get around the region. The hosts are just wonderful and the historic house and setting are magnificent. I wish all apartment/home rentals were as easy as this!

Sabrina & Benoit welcomed our family and made sure we had anything we needed. The property is perfect and spacious for a family. The pool is a great place to spend a lazy day with the kids and is child friendly. Carcassonne is a place that we would highly recommend if you haven't visited, with both the city and the medieval castle, there is a lot to do. We will be back to stay at Le Couvent again for sure!

Fabulous find. What a gem! Apartment is plenty spacious, well equipped and cute decor. Unfortunately the weather did not allow us to enjoy the outside amenities but they looked great. My boys did enjoy the PS4 due to the rainy weather. Can only recommend this place!

We did like everything. Breakfast is a model everything is Fresh and home-made. Fresh juice, top fruits, cake,..... very friendly couple, very attentive to our well being, thanks a lot, a place to be

Everything- really lovely renovation, comfortable very large rooms, patio just for us, and clothes washer in the villa. The owners were so very helpful. The breakfast delivered to the villa each morning is copious and (mostly) homemade - a delight!

Nothing they can do about the wasps amd mosquitos, although they do try!

The house was bigger than we expected, we were very pleasantly surprised by how spacious all the rooms were. It was a bit of a rainy weekend when we visited and having the extra space made it a much more comfortable time and at no point did we feel cooped up. The village itself is very small and very pretty, sitting on the edge of vineyards the autumnal colours were beautiful...even in the rain! The hosts are lovely, very helpful and friendly but they didn't encroach on our space at all. It is a short drive to Carcassonne, which really is beautiful. We really enjoyed the market in La Bastide, definitely worth going to buy fresh seasonal produce. The sun came out and we enjoyed sitting on the terrace of a bar eating breakfast before browsing the stalls to buy ingredients to make a nice dinner in the big kitchen in the house, to enjoy around the dinner table over the coming nights. We stayed for a long weekend and it was wonderfully relaxing, we slept well, ate well and really enjoyed our time at Le Couvent. I thoroughly recommend it for families and is also dog friendly, which was a special bonus for us! We love bringing our dog with us and to be able to have him with us was just lovely. We loved being able to walk our dog and enjoy the vineyard views and breathing in the fresh air and hearing the church bell ring.

Initially it was a little further from Carcassonne than we had thought but actually it wasn't a problem at all and in the end it turned out to be better!

This house was absolutely stunning from top to bottom! It was super easy to find and the host was outside ready to welcome us to our home for the night. The character in this house was amazing, very well kept, stylish, luxurious and equipped with everything a family needs and more. Hosts very attentive, some groceries ready for us on arrival...even a little birthday surprise for me organised by my fiance...flowers and wine! Fresh croissants hand delivered first thing in the morning also :) will 100% be back to this gorgeous house. Thank you.
