Pleasant staff. Comfortable room and bed with quality linen. Nice shower, quality towels, but we would have preferred a bath.

Dinner was far below expectations and very poor value. Steaks were about the toughest we’ve ever encountered: almost inedible. We didn’t appreciate being awakened by the sound of noisy petrol-driven leaf blower machine being operated outside the window. Much activity with little purpose achieved.

my wife was bitten by bedbugs and the manager only moved us to another room for the last night's stay. We had to get medication for her bites!!!!!!!!! My wife wanted to post it on social media, but that would not have changed what happened, we did however expect more to remedy this!

The room carpets were old and smelly. The toilet smelt of a bog throwback. Cupboards and furniture were old and outdated compared to what was advertised on the website

We came to stay the night before Comrades and we were welcomed in the most amazing way with Energades and booster shots from Sir Juice. The staff were excellent and nothing was too much to ask. When we came into our room we found Jungle Oats bars waters which were perfect to take to the start with us :) The cherry on top was the shuttles which took us to the Comrades start, alleviating all the pre race morning stress! Absolute best experience.
