The rooms were clean and smelling fresh.
We had dinner in the restaurant and it had star quality!

Room had no windows or any airco, so it get warm as there is no air circulation, bathroom is outdated.
Breakfast is served, by a friendly lady, but you also get what you do not eat, so I assume lot of waste.

No toasted bread for breakfast...but perhaps the lack thereof is a Dutch thing.

Cozy room, although very small. I could make a cup of tea free of charge downstairs, because there was no kettle in the room. Perfect for a 1 night stay, with a quite nice restaurant downstairs. Breakfast seemed nice, but my dietary requirements were not understood.
There was not really a reception, young girls running the desk while working in the bar/kitchen. Seemed like they were maybe understaffed. Despite me writing message to the hotel about dietary restrictions, and explaining them in the morning - I wasn't understood, so feels like a waste of money for breakfast. Also if you need a quick bite in the morning, don't count on it, the breakfast is served per table (no buffet) so it takes lots of time.

The only thing I wish I had was a tea kettle in my room. Otherwise it was perfect for my needs.

Central location in Twello (I came to visit family). Lovely rooms with boutique features, nice restaurant with good food and drinks. Breakfast was a bit much for one person, shame to throw so much away.

Nice location close to the the motorway but far away from the noise. Located in a nice neighborhood. Good food! Nice restaurant. Second time we stayed here.
Very steep stairs up to the room. Very warm in the bathroom. Did not find a way to turn down the heat.

Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Rooms (incl bathroom) are comfortable and clean. The restaurant exceeded our expectations; great food and drinks menu and the service is excellent. We noticed numerous regulars and locals enjoying the restaurant and terrace as well so that should tell you enough.
The 90's phone set in the room is very old and feels out of place. It doesn't do the rest of the hotel justice and should be replaced with something modern. Heating in the bathroom could not be turned off.

Very friendly and charming family hotel with good service: when we arrived our rental bikes were there already, we had a cosy room with good beds, nice dinner and a fulfilling breakfast. No frills but fit for purpose.

Everything! This place is a hidden gem of hospitality in its traditional meaning. We were welcomed with excellent feel for services, open doors and hearts: a ready roomkey, an already warmed up and lovely room(how special!), a special parking spot for our bicycles, outstanding food, special wine advice we took and will be always greafful for.
Saved our challenge of celebrating a special birthday during corona, and we couldn't have been at a better place then this one! Loved every minute and hopefully we can return afterwards. Looking forward to our next trip to Twello (or Deventer area), surely choosing this amazing Taverne!
That we couldn't stay for more! :)
