The place is very close to the beach, so you can get back to your room anytime. Our room was very nice, colourful. The room size is fine. There is a pleasant sitting at the terrace, accesible for all the guests. Even if the hotel does not provide the breakfast, few steps from the hotel is The juice box, where you can have a nice breakfast. There is also small shop close to the hotel and the restaurant Empanada y mas, which you should book in advance by Whattsup. The reception understands English. You can pay in USD/pesos.
Please let the hostel know the approximate time of your arrival, the receptionist lives at the hotel, however we were unlucky she was at the dinner at the time of our arrival and her phone was broken, so we waited for almost 2 hours after our long journey by bus, by dark and there is no "public" toilet. The payment for acommodation can be made only in cash. The hostel seems it is not maintained so often, e.g. the faucets could be cleaned from the limescale or replaced. The water did not work for two mornings, which is not very pleasant in the morning. Despite of all, definitely recommended to stay here! :)

A little weary because some negativity in other reviews but the price and location made me decide to book. Ended up staying longer. It's not a place if you're looking for luxury. I liked the personal attention and the room was clean. Not recommended to stay inside the whole day as it is a bit small. The restaurant downstairs had great Chilean food.
Dilsy was a great host she gave me tips about what to do. Loved that it was steps from the beach and the little supermarket next door.

Nothing, was horrible, the place was not las they show on the pictures.
They need to be honest with people, they have TV but not working and they still advertise as they do, the place needs a mayor update, as soon as they take your money you are on your own.
They lie about when they say they only have one Las room to rent, when I arrived there was only one room rented.

Despite some negative reviews, we decided to give Casa Delfin Guest House a try and we ended really enjoying it. When we arived, the room and bathroom were very clean. We were given fresh towels and soap. The maintenance lady checked on us on the second (out of the four nights) and provided us with new, fresh towels. We also loved the room design - everything was super cute.
They also have a small common area with board games and books and provided the guests with drinking water free of charge. The internet worked very well. As we love animals, we also really enjoyed the company of a few friendly cats.
The owner was very kind and provided us with some local advice. She messaged us to let us know that the water will be out for 30-40 minutes due to maintenance.
The location was ok. It is a 20 minute walk out of the "city centre" but on the other hand 150 m from the closest beach. We, however, prefered to go to Punta Poppy beach which is a 30 min walk away. There is also a small, local shop next to it where you can buy some fresh, local coffee for 25 pesos.
Below the guest house is also a small family-run restaurant (check 'Empanadas and more') where we ate 3 times during our 4 day stay as we loved the food that much.

Nice location and good staff. The bed was really big and comfortabel
When it’s raining it is quite impossible to sleep, since you hear the sound of the rain extremely loud on the roof. Also, there are no windows and the traffic is quite load at night.

the owner was really nice and friendly, I could text her at every time for any kind of questions. the place looks cute, price was also ok
it says on the website that the beach is 50m away, but this is just where all the boats stay in the night. to reach a place where I could actually lay down on the sand a swim I had to walk half hour. the ventilator in the room was not working properly, so it was extremely hot and was hard to sleep.

very unattended, the bathroom was not working well and it smell really bad. the sink and wc had serious water scapes.
the plugs did not work well, we couldn’t even charge our phones.
the windows did not isolate from noise or light.

Really cozy place with great rooms and nice outside common areas. The staff is kind and helpful. The location is nice and a bit further away from the centre so it's more quiet, which we appreciated

Stefan and his wife (If I remember correctly, her name is Julia) were exceptionally helpful and nice. Stefan would respond immediately any time I contacted him on whatsapp with any questions and Julia helped me with an issue with an outside tour company. I would also highly recommend the little restaurant that is next to the hotel. I ate around lunch time, but I believe reservations are needed for the evening.

This guesthouse is perfect, when you are traveling with backpack and you want to be close to all key locations but want to experience an extraordinary and welcomimg environment. We loved the room and terrace, also the location is simply perfect. Just a few steps from the wonderful beach. The value for money is incredible.
Hot water did not work and bathroom was a little outdated.

It was clean and there was a mosquito net which very useful in Las Terrenas.
Staff was nice
The room was quite small
The room was on the 1st floor looking down on the street, so motorcycles and dogs barking noise woke up quite often during the night.

the room was big, bed supercomfortable and huge, nice terrace outside next to the room, very close to the beach so the location was perfect
we spend 4 nights there, and we wanted to stay 1 more night. unfortunately that was not possible because in the weekend there is a rule that there is a minimum of 2 nights booking. we explained that our flight was the next day so we could only stay 1 more night, but the girl didn’t allow us. that was not a nice experience, they forced us to book minimum 2 nights even though we already stayed there 4 nights.
