Lodges were great size with all the indoor and outdoor amenities needed. Hot tub excellent with great maintenance. Setting lovely and tranquil - loads of open space for the children. Staff brilliant at adapting our booking so we had two lodges together!

No complaints at all but could have done with a broom for tidying whilst staying and an extra dustbin

The breakfast was really good , great full English and the waffles were lovely , the kids really liked them The lodge was lovely and the location around the lake was idyllic and it was very quite and relaxing watching people fishing . The staff were really friendly and helpful . We stayed for two nights and in the days we explored the local beaches which were very nice too .

The place was perfect for a relaxing rainy weekend. Very comfortable, amazing lake view. Nice cafe as well. Beautiful beaches nearby. Nothing to do with High Lodge though, just because someone else might experience the same. Be very careful when you book. We were very excited about the hot tub which...we didn't have. The lodge was decribed as 3 bedroom and it was meant to be with hot tub. The price was reasonable. We were explained there that the price we paid was the one for 2 beds , no hot tub. But the description was saying something different. I booked through booking as they never disappointed us. And I'm sure it was never their fault. It was probably Hoseasons which were advertising through Bookings. It happened to other people we were told. But again, High Lodge is beautiful. Highly recommend.

Lovely welcome and information. Beautifully clean large homely lodge.

Early Sunday exit time - 9am....

Lovely clean spacious accommodation in pleasant surroundings and lake. Easy access to Aldeburgh (lovely restaurants), Southwold (great food, beaches and a pier/arcades) and Walberswick (great for crabbing). Overall a lovely relaxing stay.

Need a car to get to restaurants pub for an evening meal/drink.
