Our room had magnificent view on snowy mountains, with a sitting place close to the window. Breakfast was very good. WiFi was excellent!! This is the same for any accommodation on the island: Be aware that you need to climb steep stairs from the harbour to the accommodation ( you get the view in turn); do therefore not take too much luggage, though the hotel arranges carrying luggage on request.

Utasawa probably has the best location on the south of the island, as it’s only a 10min (steep) walk to any of the nice restaurants that have a view on sunset from the top of the hill, and from your bedroom by opening your curtains you get to observe sunrise directly from your bed. the views are stunning and it was incredible waking up to such a wonderful and peaceful place. Sonia the host went above and beyond to arrange a boat for us to get to Yampupata (where we wanted to hike), and the breakfast was one of the best we’ve had in Bolivia.

only the shower was not up to expectations, both in water debit/pressure and temperature. too bad as the rest was perfect!

The views from the room were spectacular. The staff are friendly and really responsive. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious. The room had heating and a comfy bed.

The hot water in the shower is too fiddly. It needs to be improved so you can have a proper hot shower.

The view is beautiful ! really nice ! the stuff both Sonia (the owner) and the helper were very nice. Breakfast was tasty and fresh. we had one lunch as well and tasted really good. We were allowed to stay a little longer than check out time.

We asked to move the room we were offered because it smelled very bad. We got to see the other rooms and choose the one we thought it did not smell as bad ( we are very grateful we could change) but the smell in the first room was very problematic. the shower was not working properly and in addition the shower head gave an electric shock to my boyfriend which is very dangerous and that’s why we are rating the room with a 6. I also think the room is overpriced. The distance from the harbor and the difficulty it was something we were aware of but is always good to consider before booking.

The hotel is set on the side of a hill with an amazing view of Lake Titicaca. The host is so friendly and made sure every detail was taken care of to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was great and the room was comfortable and roomy with a great view out of the picture window.

The only complaint, and isn't the fault of the hotel, was the cold. We didn't turn our space heater on before dinner so we came back to a cold room and cold shower. Also, the hike up is challenging with the altitude so make sure you are in good shape!

you have to wait a long time for hot water to come out from the shower and also they could have more options for dinner

The breakfast and dinner we're great. The owner was very hospitable and nice and helped us out a lot. The view from the room is amazing, never seen anything that beautiful, the island itself is also very beautiful with llama's and donkeys walking around. Really a pleasant stay!

Hopefully the owner will be able to start using a machine for credit card or debit card payments which wasn't possible. Since the day we arrived almost all ATMs where broken we had trouble getting cash. Also the heater was nice but didn't really heat up the whole room. Last thing which could be better is the WiFi which worked but was really slow.

Beautiful view

Excellent view. Great staff. Clean rooms. Great breakfast. Everything in the room looks new. Hot water works fine and at all times. Would highly recommend this hotel and the experience.

It is challenging to get to this place. But then again, nearly every lodge on the island has this issue now.

The room was amazing and had the most beautiful view across Lake Titicaca and to the Isla de La Luna. Sonia, the owner, was so kind and helpful and gave us great tips on how to explore the island. The breakfast was also great- good variety and portion size.
