Todo fue muy acogedor, tiene agua caliente, calentador, la comida genial, franco y génesis muy atentos.
Nada que decir

Stunning place in Lake Titicaca with amazing hosts. The scenery is incredible, and Franco really made us so welcome. Everything is very well organised. Plenty of space just to rest and relax, and also go on excursions and learn about the Uros culture. The food was the best we’d eaten in a month in Peru.
It’s quite cold even in their summer (we were there in February) and the weather is unpredictable (sun, rain, high wind). So take lots of layers! And payment is cash only which is good to know in advance.

Nada temos a reclamar.

My partner and I had the best two days! Franco picked us up via boat from the main port and we arrived within 30 minutes to the lodge. The room was clean, large, warm, and accompanied by a heat source for the night time. The bathroom was clean and warm water for both of us to shower! Also, the food was AMAZING. We truly loved eating the food cooked by their family. The meals were extensive with several options and always delicious. I couldn’t recommend it more!

EVERYTHING. One of the most beautiful and nicely located places we've stayed. The room was large and bright, beds were huge and with extra comfy mattresses and pillows. The bathtub with a view is gorgeous. Terrace just outdoors is ideal to spend time relaxing and enjoying the sun.
Hot water runs 24/7 and you can take a bath without being afraid it runs out. Gas heating during the night makes you not feel the harsh cold.
Food made locally by the hosts is simple but delicious, with nice touches. Breakfasts are very healthy.
The host family is very nice and quiet, didn't intrude our privacy and Wily helped us better understand the way the Uros live and build their floating islands in our balsa tour at sunset.
We definitely recommend staying at Qhapaq. Hopefully we'll be back one day.
For those working, as we did, there is a stable 4G connection with several providers.
There is nothing I can think about.

We were part of the painting during our staying! Beautiful views, very calm and quiet, supper relaxing. Perfect location where far away from noice. We learned a lot eco friendly culture from host.

- great location, fantastic view
- very friendly host
- good food, especially the breakfast
- nice boat trips
- the quiet...
Our host showed us the neighborhood and explained a lot about how the community lives and how the houses were built. It was really interesting!
- You have to get used to cold nights and the gas heater may runs out of gas, so be careful how you use it.

The facilities were clean and comfortable, and we caught a beautiful sunset on the lake, but we were less than pleased with the false advertising involved in this booking and the awkwardness of the hosts.
1) Advertised free WiFi — they did not have free WiFi and when they finally brought it, it worked for 10 minutes before it stopped. This was problematic as I had some work I had to commit to.
2) Nowhere in the advertisement did they mention we would be part of the Uros community, which I was honestly trying to avoid.
3) Ad said free parking but we had the host hunt us down in the middle of Puno after we had paid him demanding the extra 40 soles that we had already paid to the man who kept our car.
4) Big hot tub, no way to fill it because the water doesn’t stop draining. Not that you want to use that much water anyway, but it would be nice if the wand carried hot water instead of only the tub spout so that you could more easily bathe.
5) Took us 4 times asking how much we owe the family for them to come up with a number, and it was such an awkward interaction. On top of that, it was about $200 soles more than what was quoted on the website and we have no idea why, just the vague idea that they charged us extra for food and or other activities. It seemed dishonest given the Booking.com advertisement.
6) Ridiculously high amount to charge for the experience, so the value isn’t there. On top of that, given the amount they’re charging, it is absurd that they don’t take credit card or any kind of online payment.

An amazing place in a beautiful location.
Wily and his family made us feel at home with their warm welcome. They pay so much attention to the smallest of details, delicious home cooked meals and an a educational boat ride are all part of the experience.
The room is spacious, cozy and comfortable, with incredible views from all sides. The outside deck with full bed is a great way to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature.
Building and maintenance of the floating islands is a lot of hard work and I have gained a tremendous respect towards the Uros people of lake Titicaca, and am thankful for the opportunity to be able to experience a bit of their way of life and culture.
We will be back there some day for sure!
Highly recommended unique experience!

The room is the only one on the Island. The Terraze has a nice view and a comfortable outside bed with a sun protecting umberella. The room itslef is spacious and because of the windows with a lot of light. You are able to see sunset and sunrise out of the room. The eco-bathroom has has everything you need and it is very easy to use. Willy and his family is very kind and did our weekend unforgettable. The price included a tour to the 120 islands and the markable points as the soccer field and the local primary school. He explained very good how the Islands are build and how they have to maintain them to keep flooting. The Food was awesome! Big breakfast (Fresh fruits, bread, cheese, hotcakes, scrumbled eggs), lunch and dinner. We always were satisfied and even with the last minute change to vegetarian food it was delicious and every day different (lunch and dinner). With the small solar pannels we had light at night and even could charge our phones.
For a day trip to the Taquile Island we payed 70 soles per person with the lunch included.
Understandable for the circumstances of living on a floating island the water to shower was wam but with low preassure. Take into account to pay in chash and confirm in advance the exact amount so there are no difficulties.

Willy and his family were very hospitable, and made our visit a special experience. It was lovely to see everybody working together to make our stay unforgettable.
There was no space for the mother, so they had to build another island for her.

We spent three days with Willy and his Family and must admit - it was amazing! The location is wonderful, isolated, surrounded by wildlife and incredible view on Titicaca lake. We got an apartament with king-size bed (very comfortable and warm), with our own bathroom, terrace and ‚built-in altana’ including big sofa where we could rest and admire. We were also served with three full dishes during the day, which were delicious and variable. The hours of serving were suggested, but could be fully adjusted in case of such need. All the Family is adorable and very caring. Whatever we needed or asked for was always considered and provided in a best possible way (we just mentioned that we desire to lay down and have some sunbath and in 2 minutes (!) we found two couches waiting for us on the terrace :))
As Titicaca lake is the one with the highest altitude (almost 4000 m above sea level), there are changing conditions with rather cool nights, especially in wet season. Additionally, this is floating island, so you may rellocate only by boat. Be prepared to have some warm clothes with you as the full sun guarantees hot temperature, but wind and clouds may appear as well. If you are lucky with the weather, you may have an option to admire the most beautiful night sky, full of sparkling stars! We had such occassion :)
Spending time on Uros Family’s island is not just an ordinary stay. It is occassion to learn about their unique culture and very engaging everyday activities. We were offered with option to join the Family, including Mother and Grandmother (adorable Women!) and be told about their tradition and history. We were able to have a boat tour along the bay and set the fish net togheter (btw, we caught big one - a trout :)) We are amazed how hardworking, humble and good people the are.

Beautiful location, so quiet and peaceful as it was a little way away from the other islands. Had a truly wonderful time lying on our sofa watching the wildlife on the lake, and later stargazing. Food was also really lovely, with a great breakfast. And particularly nice to be picked up at the bus station at 5am and taken back there the next day (all included).
Arrived early morning and put into a FREEZING room, bathroom was pointed out to us and we were told to ask if we had any questions. We asked for some heat and begrudgingly got a gas heater, which ran out of gas within seconds so we had to ask for another.
Boyfriend went to use the urinal, which wasn't plumbed in properly so leaked all over the bathroom floor. The man came to fix it, but actually it never worked for the duration of our 24-hour stay. I then used the sit-down loo to pee, and it also leaked out from the bottom all over the bathroom floor again. Same story - man came to fix it a couple of times but remained leaking all over the floor until we left. Basin in bedroom also leaked straight out of the pipe underneath.
The man who looked after us never introduced himself and didn't speak much (I speak Spanish and he also spoke English so it wasn't a language barrier). Made us feel very uncomfortable. Came to our room and told us we were going on a trip in 10 minutes. Took us out to the reed islands in a boat, which was enjoyable and we appreciated it, but when he then announced after lunch we would be going out to cut some reeds in traditional Peruvian dress at 3pm, we started to feel a little resentful at having everything dictated to us, rather than given options for our holiday. We politely declined and he did seem ok with this, but his generally miserable demeanour didn't make it particularly comfortable.
At the end while paying I did suggest he give us a discount given we spent 24 hours with our feet covered in pee, but he laughed (I think the only time I saw him laugh). Hence this review. Places can have teething difficulties, and things go wrong. He did try to fix them, which was a grim job for him. We appreciate all of that, and are certainly not precious customers (I've never written a bad review in my life!) ...
