I liked how close the unit was from the lift

There was construction scaffolding right outside door and window which distracted views and prevented pictures. The unit seemed damp and curtains were molded. The drawer in the second room had sticks and shells in it as if not cleaned out. Only one key was produced for unit. The TV channel remote seemed not to work and were stuck on one station.

Easy access to Zimbali facilities

Instruction into the estate was unclear. We were only told to enter through the West gate when we arrived at the South Gate. The property was poorly maintained. The rooms were musty and moldy. Lots mold and spider webs around the windows. My daughter and I suffered from bad allergy. One of the aircon remote control went out of battery power and we couldn’t turn it on. Beds and linens were damp and musty.

It was very disappointing right from the word go. on arrival at the gate we were informed that they didn’t have our booking. after contacting the agent we were informed that we needed to provide copies of our passports plus a ZAR1500 deposit for breakages. After sitting at the gate for an hour waiting for all of this to be processed we were finally allowed to enter! This should all have been conveyed to us prior to our arrival. Then once we arrived at our room we were very disappointed. The room was ok visually but the one bathroom stank of either cat pee or monkey pee. Rooms were also very musty and not aired properly. After much complaining they moved us into the room next door which also smelt musty. Neither the Dstv nor the Wi-Fi worked in the new room plus after we had been out of the complex shopping it was a huge palava to get back through security once again as the agent hadn’t informed them of our change of rooms. Definitely will not be back for another stay!

It is a modern apartment & is close to the pool.

Before booking there were no information given about all the facilities in Zimbali that were under construction and busy with renovations and the extra R1500 deposit- which is still not paid back after almost a week. The (awful) pillows in the main bedroom didn’t had any covers on, we searched in the cupboards just to put a cover on and even though the place was cleaned 3 times during our stay, the pillows (without covers) were just placed back on the bed. Extra seating in the living room would also be good.

Apartment was exceptional! Very clean and neat. Easy access to the beach and all the lovely facilities of Zimbali.

Everything else was perfect the place was clean n beautiful

The check in process took us more than an hour In the heavy rain we went around n round just to find a place to have dinner It would be nice if they send their guest emails on where to find what n how
