We had an amazing time. Perfect location, beautiful sunsets. Our suggestion would be to make the path to the beach easier to access. It was a bit steep and my mom struggled a bit to get over it.

The Captain's house was an excellent beach house rental for our family. Plenty of room, great accommodations and very clean and well kept. Would stay there again in the future.

We stayed for a week at the Captains Townhouse. There was 8 of us and a baby. We had plenty of room in the house and each couple had their own bedroom! The house was clean and was decorated nice. There was well stocked kitchen for cooking. It was sooo nice being right on the beach and the beach was super nice! Not overly crowded, beach was clean with soft sand and the water was clear and the ocean bottom was soft. Waling distance to John's Pass and a few stores and restaurants. We would definitely come again!

Loved our stay - right on the beach and within walking distance to great coffee / breakfast, candy shop, and the boardwalk! The pool was also great to have. Highlight recommend and our family can't wait to book again!

Excellent well appointed property in heart of Madeira Beach. Quiet. Great views and east beach access steps away. Loved every minute.

We loved the Captain Town House on Madeira Beach. The location on the beach was perfect. It was close to John’s Pass for shops and restaurants. The house was very comfortable and suited our family of 6 very well! Could use an upgrade to the patio furniture and living room furniture though.

It was a wonderful trip. Beautiful sunsets every evening, just steps from the beach. Small pool, but still nice to be able to lounge in to cool off if we wanted a break from the sand and saltwater.

The property was exactly what we were expecting and then some. Perfect get a way for entire family with private beach access, few people. Communication with property managers was excellent and timely. Would definitely go back.

This was the best equipped kitchen I have every experienced in my 25+ years of renting condos/houses/townhouses. The location was awesome. We could walk to cafe’s/restaurants/grocery stores or they were only a very short drive. The views were spectacular and it was a short walk to the beach on the provided walkway. It was nice to know there was a bathroom on the pool level and the same level storage for beach gear was very convenient. I will definitely be considering this property again for a future trip.

Nice place but the parking is awful. The area rug needs to be replaced and the beds could be more comfortable.

We had a few hiccups but the response time of the maintenance team made up for it! We all had a great time. Had plenty of room for all seven of us. Lots of places to shop and eat at near by. Even saw dolphins a few mornings from our balcony. The place was super clean. We loved that there was plenty of towels and wash rags. There was lots of beach chairs and umbrellas so we didn’t have to purchase anything. Plenty of toilet paper and hangers! We loved the beach and that it’s private so we never had any issues with beach goers and the place wasn’t crowded what so ever. We got to see the sunset every night! Only complaints we had is, we did NOT like that the owner has a passcode on the thermostat so you can’t adjust the air what so ever unless you contact them and they adjust it from their end instead of just giving us the passcode. We also didn’t like that cable and DVD player was an listed when reserving our vacation but we only had maybe 10 channels and the DVD player, we couldn’t figure out how to connect to the tv which was slightly annoying but luckily we had our phones to keep us entertained when we were home. (We we’re out doing things alot so this wasn’t really a big deal. Just wanted to have it noted for future renters) And the last thing is, we suggest maybe have some kind of blind that you can pull up and down so whenever you sit on your balcony, you don’t feel like your neighbors are staring at you while on their balcony at the same time. (Again, we knew about this when renting so wasn’t a huge deal. Just making a suggestion) Will def come back in the future if in Saint Petersburg!

Madeira Beach is a family memory maker for us. We love staying in this location right on the beach. Charles was great at communication and got back to me promptly whenever I needed anything. A couple suggestions we had as a group would be, make sure the dryer vent is cleaning for each group, it wouldn't dry towels had to hang them. Also, we thought maybe having a few collapsible drying racks for swimsuits would be great in each bathroom. The upstairs bathroom located across from washer and dryer leaks all over the counter. One last suggestion would be to have seating on the master balcony like the other side does. This is a wonderful spot to enjoy coffee etc. We loved that this side had a full bed in the half bedroom upstairs. We love this place and will be back yearly as long as we don't outgrow it. We loved the chairs for the beach and the sand toys for the kiddos! Access to the beach is phenomenal!! A suggestion for the pool is to have it cleaned after every guest, it was full of sand but the kiddos loved it! This location is perfect for getting to Johns Pass, fun restaurants, coffee shop right down the way and the Ice Cream store right across the road!! We loved our stay!

We had a great vacation at Captains Townhouse. Location was perfect! The beach was beautiful and we were able to walk for coffee in the morning(Sweet Brewnette’s is awesome!), and dinner or ice cream in the evening! Layout is a little different than other beach houses we have stayed at, but it worked out perfect for our family!! We would definitely stay here again!!

Very nice condo. Great layout. Views of beach are great. About a mile to shopping/dining. Wish the place had a gas grill instead of charcoal.

This is a great home for spending time at the beach. There are beach chairs available at the house. Johns pass restaurant’s and shopping is only a half mile walk away. You could get by without a rental car at this home if your going to Florida to just relax. Caddy’s, dockside Dave’s restaurants and a coffee shop are a short walk away. Ice cream and candy shop across the street. There is a trolley and a bus stop real close if you want to travel further. Plus there is a free beach ride service in the area.

We rented this property for a girls trip. It is close to johns pass shopping and a small handful of bars within a mile so walkable for some but not all. There is a trolley that runs the main drag this is located on that is fairly cheap to use for transportation but only runs until 9 and then a free beach cab service that runs on tips for after that time from st pete to madiera beach. We did run into quite a bit of riff raff roaming the streets after dark out on the main drag but during daytime was fine to walk places. The beach is very busy with walking traffic during the day especially on weekends. But not busy as far as area for sitting. We saw dolphins about every morning and lots of crab trappers. The shells on this beach and area are not real great. You are better off taking a day trip to egmont or shell key if your interested in shells. Watch out for cockaburs when you walk from the house to the beach from some of the fauna in the dunes between house and beach. We all dug plenty out of our feet after walking the path to beach. The house its self was great! Plenty of sleeping space comfortable beds and kept up well. There are A LOT of stairs though so be ready to climb stairs here.

Home was perfect for our family. We had two toddlers (1 1/2 and 10 months) so the little pool was perfect for the kids. Also had baby gates available to block the stairs which was a necessity. Neighbors in next unit we're very nice. Not awkward at all sharing the pool area. The rental agency was very easy to work with and helped obtain pack'n'plays for the kids along with a high chair. I would definitely book this place again.

Very nice townhouse. If you have a hard time with stairs, this is not the place for you. We were aware of this before hand so it wasn't an issue. We could not get the living room TV to work at all and we could only get one (news) channel on the TV in the master. Since we weren't really there to watch TV this also was not a real issue for us. The only disappointing thing was there were no chairs or table on the balcony off the master so sitting out there was not an option. There wasn't anyone staying at the townhouse next to us but because of the close proximity, it could be an issue if privacy is what you seek. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Would have given 5 stars if I was able to have my parents over for dinner without breaking the "no more than 8 people on premises at a time" rule that was emailed to me after I paid for the property. We have 5 small children and planned this vacation to visit grandparents and close relatives. Didn't know we wouldn't be able to have them over because of the HOA restrictions. Disappointing, but otherwise wonderful trip at a clean and spacious vacation home that accommodated my family nicely.

This was our second year at this house, we enjoy the location. Accommodates our group of 7 very well. Beautiful beach, not too crowded, spectacular sunsets. I think it’s a great family beach. Would stay again.

Air conditioner downstairs didn’t work. We were told it couldn’t be fixed until after our stay. We had a party of 7 it’s not like we could find another place to stay with no notice. The temperature down stairs wouldn’t go below 81 which made for an uncomfortable stay. Disappointed the owner didn’t at least offer a partial refund.
