Great place. Good Booking.com suggestion

The house we stayed in was great with everything we needed, really clean and enough space for us all. The place had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook with. The lounge was comfortable, the bedrooms were spacious and there were sufficient bathrooms for our party of 8. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay.

Our only compaint would be the mattresses on the beds, they were very bad and need replacing. The springs were easily felt through the mattresses and were very uncomfortable. Some of the mattresses sloped into the middle of the beds.

Spacious comfortable clean household

Needed a few more utensils for self catering couldn’t locate chopping boards, no coffee percolator or wooden spoon. It would have helped to have some washing up liquid just to get started. The shop/bar weren’t open at times stated on website but do understand it is out of season

Hi I would like to complain Bout the following: Curtains/blinds are disgusting - stained and dirty Towels not provided and website states they are The rooms are freezing - took hours to warm up, can only put boost on heating when it was -1 degrees Radiators not working in en suite in master bedroom Very disappointed, not worth the amount paid, had high expectations, afraid very low standards Won’t be coming back again Look forward to your reply

The spacious accommodation. Access to a washing machine and dishwasher. Continuous hot water and heating.

On site facilities closed. Eg. Places to get breakfast and lunch. The pub was very cold in the evening. Two open fireplaces but no fire.

Excellent value for money. Enjoyed the pool facilities. Didn't use the bar/restaurant

No towels provided, had to argue the toss with reception to get them FOC. We couldn't check in till 4pm, there was no toilet rolls, soap, tea towels, etc. and the shop was closed! Very limited cutlery, no corkscrew or bottleopener (vital kit!)

Third year staying at the bay, for my winter birthday, staff at reception are so friendly and welcoming, accommodation was super clean, homely and toasty warm

Unfortunately this year towels were not provided in our booking as previous years, this can be very inconvenient on a Sunday evening arrival, with no shops open. I received No email informing me of this

The cottage was beautiful, well worth the price for our visit in December. The location to the beach was great too

I had to chase the doggy box for our dog, I was expecting it to be in the cottage like other reviews

It was unclean with thick cobwebs and hairs all over We had issues with the dishwasher and were informed not to use however there was no plug for the sink so mealtimes were a challenge. Kitchen was ill equipped. Not a pleasant stay at all.

No soap provided, very unhygienic. 1 toilet roll supplied. The accommodation smelt of cigarettes. Areas of dust (very dusty behind bathroom door).

Comfortable and modern with everything we needed

The wooden sleepers on the driveway were an absolute horror! The heavy rain made it almost impossible to go in and out of the property without slipping. My husband went absolutely flying on his bum and it could have been a lot worse. We appreciate you have small signs dotted around the site but they are a huge hazard and an accident waiting to happen! They need replacing.

Great location to see the Yorkshire coast. Comfortable accommodation, clean with everything you needed. Great value for money.

Unfortunately we had a problem with the shower, there was no hot water. Reception sent someone to attend, which they did and advised they needed to order a part. There was hot water in the bath but not quite the same. This wasn't resolved before we left. However, it was no bodies fault, just our bad luck. Would book again.

No corkscrew in the kitchen!

Accommodation was well located, near to the beach, we didn't make full use of the leisure facilities due to having dogs with us, the pub restaurant was well set out with a good selection of beers etc, we didn't try the food as brought our own or ate in Filey etc.

Would have liked an enclosed garden area mainly for the dogs, but this didn't effect our stay, the resort has open plan communal areas which are reasonably well maintained. Didn't like that booking.com didn't respond to any questions or emails regarding our stay, how to extend our stay found them to have very poor customer service.

Location very good, studio lovely, just the bathroom could do with a bit of a make over, toilet roll holder hanging off the wall & few bits that could do with a lick of paint. Overall experience very good, would definitely book again & recommend to family & friends.

On Friday 8th September before checking in I rang The Bay Filey reception to confirm check in time as through my booking with Booking.com the check in time on my email was 5pm. When speaking to a colleague they cut me short on the telephone call very rudely and stated ‘ 4 pm was check in ‘ as though I was lying and had got it wrong which my email said otherwise. The customer service and telephone manner of the colleague was so rude and unprofessional that I was left shocked and appalled. When arriving to the Bay at reception to collect my keys the reception lady was then further rude and unhelpful. I confirmed my last name with herself and then she left the front of reception to the back and did not apologise or say anything to in which she was checking the room was ready I suppose. From where I was stood I was dreading the worst that the room may not have been possibly ready even though it was 4pm and could see her whispering with a colleague in the back . When she eventually came back to reception she handed me the keys and I had to ask for check out time , when the swimming pool was available and if we needed to book as well as ask about other It amenities on the park. At this point she did not ask once if we had visited before or wether we knew where anything was and I found myself having to think on the spot with regards to everything we needed to know, this was so unhelpful and she gave a couldn’t be bothered attitude which led to further disappointment and we had not even made it our apartment. She eventually gave us a map and circled a house block to our apartment again with very little direction and description to where we needed to be. Due to the lack of communication from the reception lady we found ourselves struggling to now find our apartment. She gave myself and my partner two different apartment numbers so we was stuck to where to find our accommodation.

The location is perfect for us, we love that beach.

We had to leave after 1 night due to illness.

a very short walk to the beach which was nice. Apartment was clean and well equipped. * I left a pair of shoes in the airing cupboard when I left and contacted staff who advised me how I could get these returned to me! Both Molly and Martha sorted this and I was very happy with the service they provided 10/10

mattress was a bit lumpy and there was only 3 of everything in the kitchen so we had to get our dinner guests to bring their own plates/cutlery etc. as we had other family members staying close by. Also, the internet access was abysmal! Though that could also go in the like section, there were a couple of times I needed to attend online meetings which was very difficult

Lovely clean apartment. Nice linen and towels. Loved the four cats eatery, staff there were outstanding. Nicely kept site. Good value for money.

Cock up with apartment, should have been moved due to cooker not working but keys not changed so we got original apartment. Cooker didn't bother us but apartment owners turned up to fix cooker,then cleaner came in despite us booking a late checkout. Promised a dog treat bag but had to ask for it. Bath plug broken
