We spent most of the time fishing, swimming and playing lawn games. The property is relatively private and the kids (ages 2 to 9) loved jumping from the floating dock or just wading in the water. This is the 5th year renting different houses for our group (11 adults and 8 children) and this property was the best yet. We would definately consider it for next year.

This house accomodated our large group well, was super close to Elk Mountain where we skied, and made for a wonderful family weekend!

We had a wonderful family gathering and enjoyed every minute of this great property. A highlight was the swimming raft; we spent most of our time on the expansive front lawn and waterfront swimming, kayaking, playing lawn games (which we brought with us) and evening campfires with wood provided by the host. There was plenty of space and a game room in the garage was an extra bonus!

Overall, the stay at the property was absolutely wonderful. The lake is stunning and the yard had plenty of shade when you were not swimming or boating on the lake. You are renting this property for the lake and yard and not so much for the house. A few things to clarify though about the house, the bedrooms are small and older than they appear in the photographs. One of the rooms on the second floor did not have air conditioning. It was able to stay pretty cool but I think this is important for people to know in advance. There are two main bedrooms on the first floor, the master and the room that has a queen with bunk beds. There are also two updated beautiful bathrooms on the first floor. On the second floor there are 4 bedrooms and only 1 bathroom for those 4 bedrooms. The bedrooms on the second floor are two queens and two rooms with a double and a twin in each of those rooms. The basement is a basement with drop ceilings, older, and not really a bedroom. It has an old half bath. It had two bunk beds in the basement and one was pretty wobbly. The basement also has exterior doors that are not sealed well. I will say the bedding could use some updating for a majority of the bedrooms and was very thin, and not of high quality. My only other comment is there are not enough wine glasses or coffee mugs for 20 people. There is hardly enough for 6-10 people. Also, the second fridge is in the garage. There is only one fridge in the kitchen. Aside from these comments though we filled the house to capacity with 20 people, kids and adults and had the best time. There are two sitting rooms side by side that could accommodate us and the dining area had two tables which were great for games. We mostly ate outside as there was not seating inside for 20. Again, this property is amazing and is perfect for being on the lake and playing yard games day and night.

We (11 adults and 2 children), our immediate family, had a great time. The house is divided into multiple sections that create zones for different activities We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen, the hot tub, the ping pong table, as well as the lake. Communication was excellent! Some rooms are not air-conditioned but have fans.

Laura's house was perfect. We had our 4 daughters and their families (9 grandkids) and everyone had their own space. There were many places to gather, so we weren't on top of each other and could all gather as a group, or find places for separate activities, conversations. Loved the lake- fun fishing, swimming, boats. Hot tub was a pampering touch we enjoyed. Two refrigerators made it easy to bring our own food and cook for 18 (we found enough pots, etc too). The wide, clean, level lawn was great for kids to play, and a nice buffer if little ones headed towards the lake. Laura also has plenty of life vests, but we did bring our own for the little kids.

Place and property manager was very responsive.

Everything was as advertised. The house was clean, in good shape, had more than adequate space, contained all of the essentials, and was in a great location. The host was also very attentive and communicative. I would normally hesitate to give 5 stars, but I couldn't think of any flaws.

The house is massive. They really made it possible to house many guests with separate and yet still combined areas to hang out. The renovations on the bathrooms were awesome, which of course makes the house seem even better! No matter where we were in the house, we were all able to sit and chat because of the furniture and layout.

Laura was responsive and the place was perfect.

Our family had a wonderful skiing weekend at the house. It is spacious and comfortable for a large group. Everything was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped for cooking with my family. We loved the view of the lake from the house and the close easy drive to Elk Mountain.

We really enjoyed spending the long weekend staying here and skiing at Elk Mountain. There were 13 of us, and there was plenty of room. The house was warm and had plenty of comfortable furniture to accommodate everyone. The kitchen was stocked with all the equipment we needed, and the proximity of the house to the mountain could not be better. Looking forward to renting again next year.

Stayed here to celebrate the holidays with our elderly parents who live to far from us to drive. This home was close to them, very comfortable, clean and well stocked with everything to make meals with. We all very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

Beautiful lake front home with plenty of rooms for our extra-large family to relax, sleep and socialize. The large kitchen (with great lake views) was perfect for being able to serve family style meals. Despite no snow, which limited our skiing, the family loved the hot tub and the bottom deck gas fireplace where we could hang out during the rain. Laura & Peter were great to work with for our mini vacation to Elk Mt.

It was a lovely home that had a lot of charm and character! The view looking out over the snow-covered frozen lake was beautiful and calming. Everything exceeded our expectations!

My family and I spent Thanksgiving at Union Dale and had a great time. From the lake view, multiple fire pits and outdoor seating it was plenty of options to relax and take in the amazing view. We had a great stay, Thank you.

Enjoyed a lovely stay at this property with extended family. The lake was fantastic and was definitely the main attraction for swimming, kayaking and fishing. The home provided plenty of space for our extended family of 13 guests. Thanks for a great stay!

The house is very big and spacious, grounds were very nice for corn hole and volleyball, lake beautiful and very quiet. More garbage cans would of been helpful with so many people but…….

We were around 20 people stayed for a weekend in the house. It was a nice experience. We enjoyed and relaxed. Regarding the property, few points which we liked: 1. The place and location is really awesome! We enjoyed kayaking a lot. It is very peaceful place in the country side far from noise, pollution or any disturbance. 2. The house was clean and organized. 3. Kitchen was great, filled with all necessary appliances and utensils needed. 4. A great experience doing BBQ Things which could be better: 1. It was a hot day when we stayed and we were not provided AC remotes. Rather the ACs are set to a fixed temperature and speed. which was not sufficient for us in the hot day. Since every person has a different level of comfort in terms of dealing with the temperature, we really wished we had the AC remotes to change the setting to our comfort. 2. There are few rooms which do not have ACs so it was really inconvenient for the people (both adults and children) to sleep in those rooms. 3. Actually there are only 6 bedrooms, The 7th one is not a bedroom but a play area in the basement which has bunk beds but cannot be used as a bedroom. We were 7 families and each of us were looking for a separate private room. So no one wanted to sleep in the basement open area. 4. The bunk bed mattresses could be better. They are spring mattresses and very inconvenient to sleep on because of very less cushion on the spring. I would suggest the owner to at least buy some foam mattresses for those beds. People come for vacation to relax and I think they will really appreciate if there are good mattresses on the bed. Overall experience was nice! We enjoyed our stay, had fun on the lake shore, and spent a quality time with family and friends

This property was absolutely phenomenal. The home itself was clean and had all the needed amenities for a nice getaway up in the mountains. Laura had been very helpful and available during our stay there, making the trip even more enjoyable. Hoping to return back very soon! Highly recommend this place

The house was beautiful and everything was very clean. The beds where all comfortable and the lake view is great! My husband wanted a relaxing weekend to fish and hang outdoors and that's exactly what he got!

Our favorite part was the waterfront backyard; with additional kayaks generously provided and an enormous amount of room to relax and entertain! The lake was very clean, had a nice floating dock area and was perfect for tubing & swimming! Multiple fire pits were nice for warming up around in the evening. The owners were very easy to work with and responsive to any & all questions. Overall, it was a great vacation spot for our large group (kids & adults) & we really enjoyed our time!! Thank you!

Overall it was an awesome time. Large living room and dining area with lake views 3 different fire pits for campfires along with 2 kayaks that we truly enjoyed. Owner was quick to respond if we needed anything. Our only disappointment was that there was no hot tub , which was listed on VRBO. And it’s really only 6 bedrooms. The 7th “bedroom” is 2 bunk beds in the basement game room which is old and unfinished. We were 7 couples and one couple had to sleep down there, no doors or privacy. They had an old sink and toilet to wash up in. My suggestion would be to change the listing to 6 bedrooms with “extra” bunk beds in the basement for children or teens.

We really enjoyed our family vacation. Beautiful waterfront property, enjoyable for adults and children of all ages!

We had a great time at the lake. The property was great for having large dinners and easy access right on tbt water. Great for swimming and kayaking! Would recommend.

The property is great for a weekend away for a big group. Large backyard for activities, and nice lakefront location for kayaking or swimming.

Laura’s house on the lake is a beautiful place to stay in the summer time. We are a big group with infants. The house has everything we need, including the cribs. The private lake provides tons of fun, and be trail nearby is an amazing walk
