Great breakfast!

Nothing at all

Friendly, comfortable, clean, modern, easy to find, plenty of parking, great location for the Polar Express and nearby railway station, very nice food and bar.

Walls are very thin and our room window wasn’t very soundproof. Noises from the train station kept us awake one night which not necessarily the hotel’s issue but improved soundproofing could help.

Breakfast and dinner very good. Staff excellent.

The staff were amazing, exceptionally friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was very comfortable and cosy in a great location.

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. I had a few queries, which were all dealt with courteously and efficiently. My room and bathroom were comfortable and well presented. The breakfast was excellent.

Really handy off the A1. Rooms were amazingly clean, staff were lovely and food in the restaurant was high quality and delicious.

My room was right above the kitchen extractor fan, which was noisy but was switched off at 9pm.

It’s very clean, tiday & lots of amenities. The staff go above & beyond to help. They are very friendly and extremely helpful. The restaurant onsite has a nice variety of food. Very tasty.

Only downside, the room was very hot. No fan/ac but we got around this be having the windows open.

Great place to stay while attending a wedding nearby. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was just the right size, with room to prepare for the celebrations. Good breakfast and the evening meal we had was very tasty and reasonably priced.

Some noise from the busy road, but that was expected as I had looked at the location before booking.

Loved this property and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was delicious too. Mattress, pillow and linen extremely comfortable.

It was our fault we should have stipulated a none road room. Living in a very quiet area it did mean it took some time to nod off.

Good location and easy to commute to where I was working for a couple of days, lovely breakfast provided. The room was spotless, will definitely use The Reubens again when working over this way. Thankyou to the team at Reubens!!

Room next to road, was very loud road traffic, noise from pub also, which I can understand. Good fair but red hot in conservatory no windows opened.

So our room (204) was above the kitchen ‘ in the morning when they fired up the cookers ‘ we got the smell of burnt cooking fat wafting through our open windows .

Staff and service was exceptional, nothing was an issue, very welcoming and homely feel. Recommended to all to stay.

Noise from main road, but during hours of darkness, no issues

It was amazing, staff were super friendly and breakfast was amazing. Nice and modern in the rooms. Would highly recommend. Definitely my favourite place if my most recent stops

The Reubens is well placed for an overnight stop while travelling on A1. good parking available on site. Room was large and the breakfast was excellent , served by a very pleasant member of staff.

I arrived on Sunday evening after a long drive expecting to get a meal. I had not been informed by booking.com that there was no food available on Sundays. the member of staff who told me this was not very helpful, directed me to a carry-out pizza place about 3 miles away. No good

Rumbling noise from nearby factory

I was a late arrival and they were very helpful getting me to my room and ensuring I knew where all the local amenities were. Breakfast in the morning was brilliant, cooked to order and all fresh.

Nothing I could see from my stay. It was staffed by friendly people who were very helpful. No issues with my stay.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was very easily accessible from the A1.

We weren't told that food wasn't available Sunday evening! And that most places locally were the same, or closed their kitchens at 5pm. We had to drive into Northallerton , where we found a lovely Italian restaurant. The breakfast was very poor,we had full English, the components seemed as though they had been pre cooked and kept hot, the result was bacon like leather and dried fried eggs. The staff were friendly and cheerful though. The view of the junkyard from our room was disappointing considering the hotel is in a beautiful area.
