From first booking to arrival our host was wonderful. The year's delay due to local COVID rules was truly generous. The property is compact for 8 adults but has everything you need. Generous amounts of crockery and all kinds of cooking utensils are supplied. Beds are good quality and the linen/towels excellent. We loved the location, 100m to the ski bus and 10 mins walk to Sherpa, but especially the river walk which leads to the Grand Massif lift. Highly recommend this property.

Really well equipped for cooking full meals, very comfy beds, quiet. Good location close to town centre, ski bus stop and a lovely walk to the gondola if you appreciate scenery and views.

The property is well located, 10 minutes walk from the town centre and about 15 minutes walk to the Grand Massiff Express chairlift bottom station. The ski-bus (Blue-Line) is 3 minutes walk from the chalet and runs to the lift station regularly throughout the day. We had eight in total in the chalet, of which six were adults, including two siblings and was cosy. Although the property sleeps more, it would be cramped with more guests. Other chalets and accommodations we have used have had a specific drying area for boards and skis: with six boards and two sets of skis, plus associated boots and helmets, the cupboard was just sufficient. As two families holidaying together, we had planned to self-cater for the duration of our stay. Whilst there is a four ring hob, the oven, grill and microwave are combined and was not suitable for our needs. The chalet is well set out, with unlimited hot water and is well heated. It was well presented, clean and tidy, with very comfortable beds. Whilst there is a dishwasher, but there is not a washing machine. The nearest supermarket is only an eight minute walk away. If bringing own vehicle there is covered parking adjacent to the chalet. Samoëns is a wonderful town on the edge of a great skiing and boarding area. Chalet I4, Bouton d'Or, Fermes de Samoëns is well located to explore the locality.

Nicest part of France we’ve visited, real character & loads to do during summer for young & old. Surrounded by stunning mountains & with lovely paths along the riverside for walking or gentle mountain biking. The chalet was very comfortable and well furnished, nothing to criticise.

We had a lovely family holiday in Samoens. The chalet was very well equipped. There were a couple of issues which could have made the stay better but I am sure they are being attended to. There was plenty of space in the bedrooms but the main living area was a bit small for a group of eight and the kitchen area quite small for family cooking. Fortunately the weather was perfect for outdoor living. The chalet complex was very close to the amenities of Samoen.

We were a three generation family of 7 adults and a 1-year old who spent a week’s ski-ing and walking holiday staying in this well equipped chalet, decorated in a traditional style and conveniently close to the attractive town of Samoens. Comfortable and spacious bedrooms on top two floors but we needed to be organised in the open plan living area with keeping all ski gear stored away in cupboards by front door as we also had a pushchair and highchair taking up extra space (highchair and cot kindly provided). Drying clothes on rack needed a bit of maneuvering but under floor heating seemed to dry everything overnight. There is a coin operated washing machine and dryer available in building opposite. The patio at the back - and balcony above – was a good place to relax and enjoy the peaceful rural view. Plenty of parking at the front including one allocated roofed space. Bookable sauna in reception area with an indoor swimming pool (also an outdoor pool within the complex). Found paying for family Internet use was the most economical. Weather was varied during our stay with no snow in valley but some cross-country ski-ing marked routes were good for pushchair walks. However, still plenty of fresh snow in extensive ski areas which all skiers enjoyed. Ski bus stop opposite complex. We had just one vehicle between us so were able to taxi those (that flew to Geneva) from the airport shuttle bus stop at the southern end of Cluses (just off J19 of A40), as well as explore more of the valley to walk, toboggan and do supermarket shops just outside Samoens (though there is a convenient smaller supermarket we used for daily bread within walking distance of chalet). Excellent communication throughout with the owner (Lynne) as well as with the property services staff during our stay - Thank you. We had a great week and can see that your lovely chalet is in an ideal location for holidays in the area throughout the year.

A cosy chalet in picturesque surroundings. It is warm, well equipped and a real sun trap at the back overlooking the river and the mountains. A lovely 10 minutes riverside walk to ski lift and the delightful town which has lots of places to eat and drink and shops specialising in local produce. The owner cannot be more helpful and we were made to feel very welcome. I think 10 people in the chalet might be a little too much but 8 is ideal for a wonderful break in a glorious setting.
