Very friendly people, clean, quiet, spacious room

Stayed here 1 night to go to the airport. Lovely hotel, nicest place I had stayed whilst backpacking in Sri Lanka. They had toiletries in the bathroom which was a nice touch. Friendly and accommodating staff. They woke up at 4.30am to make sure we got our 5am taxi to the airport. 15 min drive to the airport and 15 min tuk tuk to the beach. They brought us watermelon juice on arrival.

This might have been my favorite place to stay during my whole travels in Sri Lanka. The house is very specious, the owner is very sweet and generous and the room super clean. I can without any hesitation recommend this place to any traveler who needs a comfortable and cozy place.
Also thank you for letting me stay the extra hours in my room till my flight - I felt very safe at your place and appreciate your kindness so much! :)

The place is so beautiful, everything is nice, bathroom clean and bedroom really comfortable.
The staff is the best, they were absolutely kind with us, helping with some problems we had with our flight and always with a smile

Perfect for a stay in Negombo. Clean and spacious guesthouse owned and operated by the most lovely family. Located 15 minutes from the airport on a quiet side street away from the busyness of Negombo.

Quiet house in lush greenery close to the airport and yet close to the beaches of Negombo. Both about 15 minutes by car or tuktuk. It was an ideal place for a last night before our flights. You can reach several markets easily for some gift shopping. The owner was so nice to lend us two bikes which are the perfect tool to explore the city.
The mango tree in the garden is just starting to produce the most delicious fruit I had during the trip :)

Very nice house, great room with en-suite bathroom (super equipped) and comfortable bed, and exceptional hosts who were super helpful and assisted with every question and need we had. Close to the airport in a good neighbourhood and close to the restaurants of Negombo Beach. Top.
We had to leave for the airport early prior to breakfast, but were kindly offered coffee, yogurt and fresh mango.

This is a perfect home in Colombo area, close to the airport. We were taken care by the hosts so well and our room was really cosy with its separate sitting area, lovely terrace and spacious bathroom. Thank you so much!

Have made over 500 bookings via this platform and this is one of the best places i have ever stayed.
They thought of absolutely everything, even providing new toothbrushes and razors just in case the guests required.
It is super clean and great value for money.
The owners are wonderful, decent and warm people who do everything to ensure the stay is as good as possible.

Clean room close to the airport. Relaxing garden. Mostly the service was great. The people organised our pre departure covid testing, arranged a driver, and met our schedule perfectly. They even called the covid testing site the day before to determine the timing.
The bathroom was very very well stocked.
We couldn't figure out the hot water for the shower.

Comfortable bed, clean room & nice front garden at this modern villa with friendly owners
Room was rather stuffy & the glassed in ‘patio’ overlooked an uninspiring back garden / yard - not what I expected.
Breakfast disappointing & overpriced ($10) but no alternative nearby as the location is a quiet suburb. Dinner entailed a long walk to a mediocre fast food, partly along a busy road.
Fine if you have your own transport - but I didn’t!

Lovely host! Perfect location close to Airport and walking distance to the train station! We felt like coming home! Big and clean rooms, good Wifi! Delicious breakfast! Place to stay in Negombo, don’t hesitate to book!

The owners were super nice, since we arrived until we left. Tips of were to eat and what to visit were given and accepted with no regrets. Transportation arrangements were also made : both to visit the city of negombo by tuk tuk, and to take a taxi for an early flight in the next morning at 5 am.

The owners Evangeline and Tudor are very friendly, hospitable and helpful for whatever you would need. Great place to stay close to the airport for flying in or out of the country. Our experience in Sri Lanka shows that finding clean and organized place to stay can be challenging, therefore West Dene is highly recommended.
