Hilias Retreat is little gem tucked away from noisy streets and beaches in Palolem. It is close to nearly every single amenities you would need in Palolem yet only 2 minutes' walking distance to beaches. The family who runs the Retreat is friendly and helpful. They even let me check-in at 8am when the check-in time was 11am. Since my room was ready, they just let me come and stay.
What really impressed me was the cleanliness.
Everything was nice but the fridge in the room was old with dent marks, etc., and a little noisy. Perhaps new fridges will be good.

We have had a wonderful experience at “Kilians Retreat” It was all 5 stars and more
Retreat is spotless, exceptional clean, very quite and has a excellent location only a few meters, ( short walk )
from the beach. Kilian and his wife, and sons, are one of the best guesthouse owners we have met in India, super helpful
always there, when you need something. You feel absolutely safe at this retreat
Kilian was super helpful to make our transfer to the Margao Again thank you for everything , it is appreciated.

Hilias was fantastic. In a brilliant location. Room was good had all we needed and was lovely and clean. Owners and staff were lovely and very helpful. Also two beautiful pugs

It felt very safe and welcoming. The owners were very nice and helpful. It was quiet and close to the beach. I would definitely stay here again
The fridge and the AC was a bit noisy at night. We usually turned off the fridge at night.

The owners and staff where very kind and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. It's very close to the beach, so all perfect! We really enjoyed our stay here.

We have stayed here for a couple of days every year we have visited Goa...for the last 15 years +. Highly recommended, the owners are great, everything is well thought out and its a friendly and safe environment. We look forward to stopping again soon 😊

Two minute walk to the beach in a quiet street (unlike the noisy places on the beach which have music blaring until late!). Very comfortable and clean room. The owners are lovely and very helpful - I felt very welcome.

One minute from beach, idyllic little guest house better than the huts on the beach
Don't expect to pay by card , he will blag you saying card machine isn't working and ask you to pay cash and take you to the ATM , however he is a really nice guy

The rooms were clean and the location was great, very close to the beach. The hosts were great!
The walls were quite thin and could hear the neighbours at night. Weren’t able to pay using card and finding a working cash machine proved difficult, so make sure to bring cash.

Near the beach; good ambience
Credit card was not accepted despite taking the card information during booking time. Almost was short of Cash after paying the rent at the couple of properties I booked through Booking.com, as none of them were accepting the credit card.
Also was not provided with complementary water bottles at this property.

Mr. Hilias and is wife Rina are amazing hosts! We had a wonderful time chatting and they even helped me acquire the local Goan bread I'd been craving !
I arrived very late at night and was delighted to find the bed was so comfy and clean!
I had a great time relaxing on the balcony of my room and I loved petting their cute pugs, Puglia and Macho, every time I stopped by reception :)
My room didn't have shampoo when I arrived late at night but Rina gave me some when I went to reception the next day.

Very friendly the Family, was always laughing, positive and very helpful in all cases. After check-out I could let my baggage’s there and I could had a shower there again. I felt comfortable and really welcome. Very close to the beach.

Fantastic welcome from the owners and staff. We found the service throughout was outstanding, they helped us out on a number of things We originally booked for five nights but ended up staying eight nights. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the beds were really comfortable. Strong WiFi and nice hot showers. We would definitely book this place again. Thank you to the hosts for making it such a wonderful stay.

Very friendly hosts, great location, nice decor, warm shower a private fridge with cold drinks. Overall it was a great stay. The only thing we regretted was that is was too short. :)

such a lovely place to say, very homely feel and very welcoming when we arrived. excellent location very near the beach. the rooms are clean and the shower is really good. air conditioning was also great in the room. the family who own this property really make this place what it is, so friendly, so helpful with the two most adorable little dogs. we really enjoyed our time staying here.

The family is very helpful. We found everything clean and organized in our room. I would definitely recommend this place if you want to visit Palolem beach and you’re willing to pay 2000 rupees per day.

Everything, the host were absolutely welcoming, Hilias sir and his wife were both treating us like family and didn't even bothered us once in our 3 days stay in their hotel.
bang opposite to the beach it is the best place to stay for solo travelers as well as groups.

it's good value for money, the real house, not a hut. Close to the beach, but not seafront. Very nice two dogs (pugs), we love them. AC works well which is very important. No insects. Room is very basic. Survived in the +40C heat and in the huge rainstorm, was no problem with this accomodation.
