Ho soggiornato con mia moglie la prima settimana di febbraio, al nostro arrivo ci è sembrato di essere in un paesaggio da fiaba, ampie vetrate ti immergono nella natura circostante, la casa è enorme e c’è tutto il necessario di cui si ha bisogno, cucina funzionale, lavanderia, letti comodissimi, la casa è calda e confortevole nonostante le temperature esterne molto rigide. Abbiamo trascorso i nostri giorni in totale relax con il nulla che ci circondava, e ammirando il paesaggio innevato. Stefan il proprietario molto gentile e soprattutto ha sempre comunicato con noi. Siamo stati benissimo 10 e lode.

Very well equipped for self catering & laundry room. Nice open plan, large windows with absolutely stunning views to the south.

Arrived late evening & struggled to locate towels & linen to make bed. Fortunately the owner left some provisions in the fridge, but you have to plan for food if you arrive late. The local shop was already closed.

Very big house, equipped with all, several rooms, comfortable beds in sleeping rooms, comfortable sofas in great living room with excellent view to nature, big screen multimedia TV, good kitchen, big laundry and automatic vacuum cleaner. During my stay in March very quiet und pieceful surrounding but there is a school and playground directly at the house. Comfortable Checkin and Checkout through a key safe at the door. Excellent WiFi.

Not suitable for older people without car. Even the owner communicated quick and friendly, I explained transport problems and some kind of personal handicap months before, he was not able to offer or arrange any kind of transport from the railway station. I never experienced this in hundreds of bookings all over the world. The host seems more interested to send long cleaning instructions than correct information about distance (5 km instead of 3,5 including mountain) and public transport or taxis. There are 2-3 busses on schooldays (early morning, back noon) but don't have any connections to trains, neither in Nattavaara station nor in Gällivare. The hint of the host to look myself at the internet about taxis and busses was as well not helpful, no taxi exists in that area, about bus connections see above. So end of the story I had to walk two times 5 km from/to train with full luggage in the dark and snow, handicapped with knees, legs and neck. During the unfriendly cancellation policy of this accommodation (a.e. prepay) and missing and failed information before booking I couldn't change short-term to another place after getting knowledge of the coming problems.

A perfect place for resting and recovering after long work day in the field. It is very nice and comfortable. I especially like the well-equipped kitchen. Super nice place with low price!

The well-equipped kitchen was my favorite! Additionally, there is so much space, quiet area, laundry possibilities.

It was not completely clean, probably left so by the previous guests. Fortunately, I do not mind cleaning, so I solved the problem.

Good quality-price ratio. The house is located in Nattavaara By, a remote village perfect for watching wildlife: we saw deer and snow hares walking just through the house garden in the morning, and we even saw a female moose with a young very close to the house! Perfect for northern light watching from the front part of the house also. There is some light pollution from streetlight but you can easily get down the road if you want to see the northern lights better. The house had two bedrooms, but can accommodate up to eight people, there is a kind of a room behind the kitchen which has three beds, and there are some matrasses that can be placed in the hallway, I would recommend it for 4 persons to be comfortable. Heating very well which is needed as it can get freezy, we had -13 Celsius in October during night. Host Stefan is very communicative via email if you might have any questions. Entrance to the house via key lockbox, code provided a few days before arriving.

There was nothing about the house that was not meeting our expectations. Keep in mind bringing enough food on arrival, in the village 4km away is a small shop, better to buy in Gällivare upon arrival. Keep in mind that Nattavaara is only reachable from the south by unpaved roads, from Gällivare is a good asphalt road. Also by train, Nattavaara station 4kms, but limited transportation from there!

Great size for a group. All the facilities in the house needed for a comfortable stay.
