Jaime was really nice and helpful, although his English is not great and we don’t know much Spanish he used a translate app every time to help us communicate the best way. He was very polite and tried to help us any way he could - from good recommendations to keeping our luggage for couple of days. The breakfast is made on the spot and you must try the lemonade, very tasty and refreshing. The pool is clean and there is nice garden where you can see hummingbirds.

Everything was great, the place, the facilities, the location, breakfast. Jaime, the owner, helped us to book the tours and changed our room for a more spacious one. I will be back for sure!

Nice and quiet. Good location off the main street and walking distance to the beach/river etc. Good breakfast. Exceptionally clean. Nice pool. Very helpful hosts with suggestions and recommendations for our stay in Palomino.

Just some minor details - No hammocks or bean bags etc for relaxing beside the pool, and no yoga on offer. Quite a few regulations including no outside food or drinks (more of a hotel then a hostel) however this wasnt really a big deal as we were out most of the time.

The place is clean and well equipped with a swimming pool and outdoor showers. The breakfast in particular is delicious and the host Jaime took care of us very well and arranged tubing for us. The location is also very good, with easy access to the main road, the beach and the principal bus road.

The owner was so gracious and honest. He went beyond the call of duty to make our stay comfortable and adventurous. He helped us with our tours and transportation to the bus station.

It was everything I needed for this trip. Nice outdoor area to sit and have breakfast, a pool, a comfortable room, and a pretty central location.

I wish there was hot water in the shower, but by no means was this a big deal.

This hostel is so calm but still very close to the center and restaurants. The breakfast was really good and free. The staff are super helpful. I had a great time staying here!

Great hostel. One of us was unwell and the staff kindly kept an eye out to make sure we were ok. Great central location near to bars and restaurants, and 5 mins walk down to the beach.

The owner is very nice. The beds are hard, but comfortable. There are some parrots who can speak. the location is very central.

It’s very basic, but the rooms really lack charm. No decoration at all. The bathroom is very tight. It’s even difficult to sit on the toilet properly. The breakfast is very basic.

Jaime is great and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. I enjoyed the breakfast -- eggs to order with arepas or bread, fruit bowl, and cafe con leche or tinto (black coffee) -- often both! I also appreciated that they don't play music, as so many of the other hostels in Palomino are constantly playing music day and night. This hostel is just one short block from the main street, so it's nice and quiet. Thanks for everything, Jaime!

A fabulous stay in Palomino. This place is lovely, clean, comfortable and spacious. The breakfast each morning is tasty - fruit, toast, eggs and coffee. The shower is a little cold but doesn’t matter as it’s so hot outside it’s nice to cool you down. The owner is a super friendly guy who will help with anything you need - trip or restaurant recommendations. He also dropped us to the bus station on the last day to save us walking in the heat. A great place, would highly recommend.
