House right on the water. Beautiful

This was a beautiful home. Location is great! Right on the Kern river. Purchased some Tubes across the street and floated down the river. The house has wonderful upgrades and a wonderful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. There is a market walking distance that serves smoked tri- tip. The house is perfect for families. I did have to initiate contact with manager the week before. She did respond promptly and made a nice recommendation of a local restaurant/ brewery.

Absolutely the best vacation home you will find in the area. We were a group of 12 and had everything we needed for an incredible 3 nights. This is not your typical rental - it is a beautifully decorated and fully stocked home with plenty of room to spread out and relax. The location can’t be beat. Right on the river with a sand beach literally as your back yard with amazing views. We will be returning as soon as we can!

This beautiful home was perfect for our mixed group of 10 people. Beds and pillows were comfy, bathrooms and kitchen are luxurious. The patio was comfortable, even in the heat, with the sun shades and ceiling fans. Great river access! The owners were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend and hope to stay there again!

Perfect communication with property management perfect very nice

We booked months in advance. Communication with the owner was OK, a couple times I didn’t receive responses, and I started getting nervous a couple days before the trip when I didn’t receive a welcome email. I called the owner, and she picked up the day before check-in. The cabin is beautiful, and it’s well stocked. Our kids had a blast. The cabin has everything for young kids. The side of the house had swings. The BBQ is perfect. And we loved the teepee and toys to play with. The cabin is super close to the river! We saw blue jays, river otter swimming in the river, and a deer walked by the back side of the cabin. So much wild life, we loved it!! When we arrived, we smell cigarette smoke and found two butts on the ground outside under the swings, that was gross. Unfortunately I got glass in my foot because glass candle sticks were placed in the bath towel cabinet. When I pulled the towel out, the candlestick fell and broke on the floor. I cleaned up the bathroom but a sliver of glass got into my heel, and that was frustrating and painful. We brought tire floats, and the rental description says to pump them up across the street. Unfortunately the store worker was not very happy we came to pump our floats up without buying anything. We ended up purchasing from the store a couple times, but the initial experience was not enjoyable. We couldn't get the fire pit to work, and the owner wasn’t quick to send help. I felt for the price we paid ($2400 for 3 nights, Sun-Wed), we should have received on-call handyman support. Overall we loved this cabin and Kernville. And would love to return. Thank you!

Paradise

Our stay at Lazy Crane was amazing from start to finish. Tianna was very helpful throughout the entire process. The cabin was in a perfect location right on the River. The outdoor patio is overlooking the River and was clean and all the amenities you could think of. Overall wonderful stay. We will definitely come back here with our family.

This is our second time staying this year. It's in a great location with a convenient store right across the street. Not many houses have such access to the river out front which makes for relaxing afternoons in the water. I would most definitely stay again!

This spacious, clean and resort’esq had our family oohh and ahhhing over this location. Kids and grandparents loved the amenities (games, toys, swing) and river front view to really get away from the daily hustle and bustle for few days. The Host addressed issues or questions like a true pro and a top host. We loved the stay here and will recommend to others.

Very clean house, excellent amenities like cooling, heated floors, adequate supply of towels, beach chairs. Well-stocked kitchen. The covered patio is overlooking the river. So peaceful,calming. We used the patio shade as a projector screen to watch movie at night, we brought our projector. There are 2 masters bedroom, each with balcony overlooking the river. The house is very spacious. I highly recommend.

This was our second time here. We loved it so much last year. Great location and perfect for our kids. House has everything we needed. Great comm with manager and easy check in. See ya again next year.

Our group of 8 women had a very nice stay. All beds were comfortable and the house was right on the river. We enjoyed river rafting from both kern river outfitters and renting tubes at the general store across the street and floating down to the park. Wonderful stay, thank you for having us! Would definitely come back. House is also very kid friendly if you plan to bring kids.

We had an absolutely sublime experience staying at the Lazy Crane. The location is incredible, just a short drive to town. The river right in the backyard is beautiful and the kids spent many hours playing there. The house is extremely well appointed, and views are gorgeous. We hope to return!

It is a very clean home with a great river location. We all enjoyed nearby hikes and it was very nice sitting on their backyard porch doing tele-work. Looking forward to staying there again.
