Quaint building. Charming staff. Popular and excellent restaurant
The hotel is on a road junction so all rooms look out on roads. One road has a tram track. Our room looked out on this and it was noisy all night.
Thought breakfast was expensive

I loved that it was a local, traditional French bistro. It has got character.
There was a strange smell on entering the property. The old heating system is noisy.

Super family run hotel over a bistro, run by the same people. The décor was period and we had a good-sized corner room that overlooked the streets on both sides and had a balcony that was pleasant to spend time on in the evening. It had the real feel of a French hotel, with a lot more character than you'd get in a chain hotel. Lot’s going on in the immediate vicinity with many shops and restaurants, although we ate downstairs, where I had a huge steak tarte. We arrived on motorcycles and were able to park right outside the hotel in the street.
We ere only there for one night, and found everything to our liking in that time.

Parking on street immediately opposite ,very convenient - pay after 9 am. Despite a market setting up on the square immediately opposite our balcony room early morning we heard nothing
Typical but quite satisfactory continental breakfast . Good evening menu / food in the restaurant, not cheap but well worth it.
Check in was excellent , his English certainly better than our French, met with a smile & a sense of humour.Good stopover from Versailles to Bergerac.
Would highly recommend
Old town Limoges was a bit disappointing , but that’s hardly the Marceau’s fault !

I very much appreciated the way the Bistro combined decent (but budget) hotel facilities with a lively little restaurant. The location worked well for me as I needed to be near the train station. It was within easy walking distance of shops as well as the picturesque Medieval quarter. My room was simple and old fashioned, but comfortable and well equipped - a bottle of mineral water was a welcome bonus in the heat. I enjoyed my supper very much, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly - and spoke English. Breakfast was good with a wide range of choices.
Nothing really - for the price, I would expect nothing further in terms of facilities.
